Try and down grade your nvidia drivers ? I know their were some people who had issues with them, on Varjo and 50xx series cards -

Nvidia drivers if that doesn't work try a manual download of the latest VB from the website Downloads to 4.7.1, which wasn't showing up for me in the VB app , when i had this problem -
AFAIK the only consumer headset that requires a subscription is PIMAX , and that is more of a payment plan than a subscription? You will need good hardware, no denying it. But set up is usually straight forward providing you can follow instructions, and if you can't DCS may not be the game for you.

VRAM question with Nvidia GPUs
speed-of-heat replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
given it's a PC and given it's software, they both could be correct , depending on what its looking at -
if you were going to see improved performance in DCS you would also see it in other games in 2d , but, more cores is always "better" just to provide other CPU's to run operating system and other tasks... but given what the reviewers have been saying i would be surprised if the 9950X3d would offer much additional performance

VRAM question with Nvidia GPUs
speed-of-heat replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey there, as a result of you post i started paying attention to VRAM again, i just flew a single mission , but i was surprised by two things, one VRAM usage was way down, certainly under 8Gb after mission load (there was a spike at about 11Gb when the mission was loading , but the second thing was it was giving up VRAM as well so it wouldn't just keep on rising it would also go down I'm on a 4090. @BIGNEWY did you make any changes to VRAM management, if so well done if not err I dunno ? -
There is a huge slow down Also at the moment CBU-105 seem to consistently miss when wind is aloft ... however 20mm does not miss in high wind conditions
-
what i have seen is it will regularly "round" the conversion, but not by as much as 25nm

try clearing out your shader caches for nvidia and the fxo and metashaders2 files from the saved games directory for DCS -

You might still be able to get a legitimate iso (albeit late beta) for windows 11 23H2 via the insider program, it's free to join, see here https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2024/10/windows-11-23h2-iso.html Note sooner or later it will get forced to update, unless you turn updates off. -

The impact of 24h2 was widely publicised on WMR, it is dead, unless you have access to an earlier ISO for 11 or 10 then I don't know how to bring back WMR. It even told you about it during the update...it said it was going to remove WMR. However pimax works fine, as do other non WMR headsets. -
Anyone using multiple Winwing grips for diffrent aircraft
speed-of-heat replied to kmaultsby's topic in Winwing
I use the f16-ex stick for everything... -
are you by any chance trying to run OpenXR via steam? if so don't , run it natively in WMR ...

MSAA x 4 is pretty brutal i don't think i ever went above x2 with my 3090 , and maybe shadows to flat... thats the only thing that leaps out; but my german is pretty rubbish. You should be using OpenXR by default now with your G2. You might try some of the settings in Open XR Toolkit or you might try using quad views and fix foveated rendering both of those will reduce your vram usage as they will render things in your peripheral vision on lower resolution, which given the G2's small sweet spot you wont be seeing that clearly anyway. Marianas is a very VERY slow map over land , Syria tends to be better especially once you get away from the airfields... sorry that's all i have

what are your graphics settings in game at the moment ?
-
agreed, i configure all of my planes through joypro, and that is stored in my docs folder which automatically gets backed up into the cloud

This is a fallacy, in your current scenario you have multiple single points of failure. If any one drive fails you are SOL for the data on that drive... You face the same probability of failure for your O/S and game drives as you have if you have a single drive...
