Having selected Threat Class 2, and being locked by an SA-6 and shot at, i still can't seem to find it either on the HTS or the HAD ? they are both on detecting other threats, just not one i am after, is this just me or... ?

there are a few other factors that impact VR for example your FOV in most cases doesn't match your real world FOV meaning your visual scan needs to be quicker than it would be in real life to cover the same arc in the same time, which means things get missed, which means you need more "clues" to help you find things in the sim ... my 0.02GBP But this is all very different from the OP's original question ... and a separate topic...

has this changed it now seems to default to GPS, I'm sure it didn't before ?

this is the article i used: How to Remove Sonic Studio, Nahimic, A-Volute and other Windows Drivers and [Motherboard] AI Suite 3/AI Suite 3 Cleaner- Introduction and troubleshooting | Official Support | ASUS Global and also in BIOS you need to turn off to automatically update the ASUS armory crate but it will automatically re-install itself , if you dont turn it off and i also used revo Unistaller to get rid of anything related that was left behind, then after a clean boot, i went to windows update ... and "ta dah" hope that helps

honestly mines better after the hotfix! Though it is slow to exit. I think this is one of the reasons that DCS is such hard work for ED to diagnose problems like these -
my understanding is that will give you a 12% frame rate reduction on like for like settings over a 4090

Constant stuttering in VR. I gave up.

RTSS can also cause issues especially if monitoring those voltages -

RTSS has its own "issues" especially on nvidia cards at the moment -

I sort of did this to death when i had G2 ( ) ... there aren't many settings that actually impact VR play in NVCP... now as you are going via VD that might have some different impacts as windows i wll see that as a desktop app rather than VR -

yes it doesn't have any effect if the cap was working it would have reduced the FPS to 55 which it does in 2D but not VR ... CPU Bound in Yellow is kind of the default state so thats not a measure you should concern yourself with if its in red thats a different matter. -

without knowing what you have already tried so i may be covering old ground according to this log file you still have core isolation enabled and you have hyper-v active... so lets start with this recommendation from Microsoft on gaming Options to optimize gaming performance in Windows 11 - Microsoft Support Your page file is too small, it should be about the same as your ram and 572.83 the current nvidia driver is known to cause stutters on some installation... so try DDU and rolling back to 566.36 you might also check and see if core parking is enabled ... I really wouldn't recommend MSAA i would strongly recommend DLAA as way more performant and DLSS as well , and i would turn of the max FPS that you have set in game ... i dont know what your settings are in VR in game ... i cant really help you with the Meta side of the VR house. as quick test at the desktop with nothing else running what is your CPU utilisation like ? -
How to prevent Numpad5 re-centering VR view [G2/WMR]
speed-of-heat replied to NorthernMenace's topic in Virtual Reality
@BIGNEWY is this functionality intended: e.g. unless a different *keyboard* bind is present NUM5 will always be active even if you have bound a button to a joystick and or cleared the existing keybind? -

speed-of-heat replied to NorthernMenace's topic in Virtual Reality
yep... so it seems... unless there is a keyboard binding it will use NUM5 ... i have now bound mine to LCTRL, LSHFT, LALT , WIN, RCTRL, RSHIFT, RALT NUM5 -
Without knowing what you have tried, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/options-to-optimize-gaming-performance-in-windows-11-a255f612-2949-4373-a566-ff6f3f474613 Make sure you have installed the game bar, or use process lasso to make sure that dcs is using the ccd with the extra ram cache. https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/how-to-set-up-your-system-with-a-new-amd-ryzen-9-7950x3d-or/ba-p/589464 And make sure you have hot plug disabled in dcs. Also be aware that the drivers you need for the 5090 have been causing stutters on 50xx cards and 40xx series cards there are some work arounds in this video: Hope that helps.

so i would set spotting dots to 2 pixels, if you are using quadviews or DLSS, both of which will limit your ability to see things (as it can get "rounded out") same with anti-aliasing

No idea, i am afraid... its more likely to be a lack of 8 pin connectors , you need 2 (6 and an 8 ) for each titan , and another two for the 2080ti
-
In theory yes, if you had a power supply that could actually hack that, or at least were willing to put multiple supplies into your PC to achieve it, i haven't really dug that much into it because I really only play in VR, and it really only make sense if you have a spare GPU lying around but sure...

for me the MeganeX feels like a non-starter without eye tracking at that resolution for DCS, it's slightly lower refresh rate (75Hz native) , might balance that up some as you only need to generate 83 percent of the performance to make it work for DCS, even with your specs, other than that weight wise they feel close enough in terms of capability ... my instinct would be BSB as it is going to get more market share and therefore more support steve is always pretty much happy with a new headset
