PP targets are stored per-weapon. If you programmed four targets into the same JDAM, they all disappear when you drop that JDAM. When you finish typing in the target for the first JDAM, instead of pressing pp2, press step on the right side of the screen to select the next JDAM. Then you enter another pp1 for that weapon.

The funnel sight has clear and stable range indicators. Firing from a completely stable aircraft you could absolutely measure the rate of dispersion over those distances. Maybe not the best way of doing things, sure, but it's not totally pointless. It's an idea, at least.

Oops. I meant 10 cm.

Update: so it turns out Virpil threw me for a bit of a loop. On a suspicion, I got out a micrometer to measure the wire gauges, and it turns out that instead of two light springs, they sent it to me with one heavy spring and one light spring installed. So when I switched the springs, i was switching one heavy and one light for one heavy and one light, instead of two light springs for two heavy springs, which is why I felt no difference. I made sure that both heavy springs are installed, and yep, it now feels perfect, even with the extension. Vipril! If you're reading this, make sure your QA team checks for that in the future ;)

TBH, I don't think that's a problem. The loose center/hard extreme was a huge selling point for me, because that's how a real aircraft would feel. My issue is that the tension starts ramping up just a bit too far from the center. I can fix that with stronger springs, but the metal used for the axis hinges is obviously aluminium instead of steel, so I'm not sure just how much force they can take without wearing out faster.

The axis hinges are the "pins" I am referring to. If the bolts holding the cams break, those can easily be replaced. The major axes, not so much.

I just received a new warbrd base to use with my warthog stick. I'm using a 100cm extension, and with the weight of the stick, the action feels too loose even with he stronger springs. I intend to go to a hardware store and buy some heavier springs, but I'd like to know if there is a limit to how heavy I should make them to avoid causing stress damage to the pins. If anyone has any input on this, I'd appreciate it :)

The thing is, DCS doesn't currently simulate thermals or otherwise turbulent air AFAIK. If the air itself is moving erratically, no amount of fly-by-wire trickery will keep the plane from buffeting around like a mechanical bull. IIRC, a new weather engine is in the works that includes humidity and temperature, so maybe it'll eventually be something we have to factor in.

Then why not just post the quote?

No part of that video mentions the a/g radar in any way.

Oh cool. I thought I was just missing something. Thanks.

Hey all, I've been learning multi-target attacks with the JSOW but I've hit a snag. If I load four JSOWs on four separate stations, I can step between them no problem and assign each missile a different target. But If I have four JSOWs loaded on two stations using double racks, then the step button only switches the station, and I can't cycle between the JSOWs loaded on that station. If I select a station and input a target data, it gets assigned to both JSOWs loaded on that station. Is there a way to step between four JSOWs loaded on two stations? thanks

I'm trying to find it. Could be I just thought I read it. My memory is as fallible as any other human being. I'll keep digging and report back if I find it. Burden-of-proof and all that.

ED has stated many times in the past that they change many details about weapons because they want DCS to be unreliable as a training platform for weapons employment. That's why it hasn't been fixed despite having been noticed as far back as the early warthog days.
-
Yup it's back. For the moment I set him to silent before getting behind the basket.

Best news I've heard in a while! :) I think it was not included in the changelog though.

Wait, really? How long that been available?

It's not just srs. I get no response from any radio menu transmissions using UHF2 in MP. Is there a fix?

A video game company isn’t a content creator? It was just an example, anyway. -

I would be okay with a subscription, as long as it isn’t mandatory. If ED set up a Pateron page or something where you could donate $5 a month to show appreciation and help fund faster development I’d donate gladly, especially if it helps everyone get improvements to the sim that aren’t locked behind a paywall. Maybe give patron-only liveries as a bonus, or a patron discount on all modules while you remain subscribed. -

I could not possibly agree more. I would give my right arm for better AI.
