In beta 2 my default view looking straight forward was as shown in most people's posted pics, with the UFC, FireControl and HUD taking up most of the screen. I have not messed with any settings but in beta 3 the view is sitting back farther in the cockpit so that most of the instrument panel is visible. Problem for me is it makes hud symbology much harder for me to see and everything else in general apear smaller. How do I change it back to the way it used to be?

Core i930 is a quad core chip. Since DCS only uses 2 cores, 60% cpu usage is the max your going to see. That is very definitely cpu bottleneck.

Try putting your nvidia card back in. Some people are seeing issues using ATI cards.

Are you talking about the usb version or the cougar version? I have the usb version and got mine to work but I had to calibrate it in windows in a rather unconventional way.

I think 2bit would be better. A. Less wiring. B. Less inputs required. C. DCS likely will use commands similar to 'Left-mouse click'/'Right-mouse click' to change position.

I cut out my own frame out of wood to hold the LCD screens and used double sided tape for cougar mfds.

Dont see why you couldnt. Your just giving away your license to use it to someone else. As far as I know, it wouldnt even be illegal to sell your license to someone else although it is entirely possible that would be against the EULA. I never read it so I dont know. They all say the same stuff. No piracy and multiple installations requires multiple license keys.

You must have got the demo version where controls are disable after 5min till you purchase the retail license.:megalol:

Standard drives in raid 0 will net you almost zero improvement. I used to own a few raid setups and after several reviews on hardware sights and comparing with what I had, raid 0 is only beneficial in a multiuser environment or when reading/writing long sequential files like video compression. For most users that run in a single user environment, most of their files are not sequential and the random seek times play a much larger role than the read/write speed. This may well be not applicable to raiding SSD drives tho because they dont have the same limitations of a mechanical drive.

Even if the sim was optimized for SLI/CF, in its current form you likely wont see an increase in fps if your running decent cards to begin with since its CPU limited.

I got the same email from BLT when I canceled, but when I inquired about reinstating the order they replied that I would have to pay the new $500+ price and lose my place in line to receive one. So you arent really reinstating your order the way it was prior to cancelling.

I changed my instant action mission loadouts to include the jammer pod and retested this with the same results. Also, in auto mode, the jammer will only activate if you are being tracked on the rwr. Since this never happens, your jammer is useless in those missions. I tried manually using it against the AAA and it didnt do anything. Yes if you put AWACs in the mission it shows up on rwr. The problem is that certain units that should show up are not showing up such as ZSU. It obviously shows up on your wingmans rwr, just not yours.

I see this everytime I fly the instant missions. As you approach waypoint 5 where you are tasked with destroying some tanks, a sam, and AAA unit, wingman calls this out but it never shows up on rwr.

Hmm interesting. DCS just crashes when it tries to initialise SoftTh on my rig. I tried both 2.00 and 2.03. Beta1 didnt have this problem.

Has anyone tried SoftTH? DCS just crashes when I tried it although the notes that come with it say it is compatible. It worked with beta1 so not sure if this is just a beta2 issue.

Maybe its out in the sticks somewhere unreachable by anything besides overhead parachuting.

They sent me email and said my preorder could be reinstated within 30days but Id have to pay the new price and lose my place in line. I would have got the $405 price if I didnt cancel, but the games they were playing told me that the dates they said could never be trusted. For all I knew it could have been another month. So losing money sux, but going elsewhere gave me more peace of mind.

Problem with BLT was they changed the ETA so many times you could never know when the real one was going to be. I thought for sure the Nov 2nd would be it. I lost $100 for cancelling my preorder but I dont think I would go back to them cause they just make you play an indefinite guessing game. Im told mine should ship tommorrow or saturday. I can live with that.

I've been engaging at under 1nm and against tanks I can unload the entire store of rounds and it wont die. Other tagets I have no problems killing with 1 second or less bursts.

Did they change the keys that select options in the communications window? After tuning the frequencies, I can get the com window to pop up and all the selectons are white, but using the function keys F1-F12 wont select any of the options.

Anyone get their oder from BLT shipped today? Simware said they were available on their website but after I ordered I got email that I will have to wait till next shipment arrives. Since I canceled my BLT order I guess I screwed myself. :(
