Чуть выше, в посте №50 нарисовано, что там на экране при угле в ~60 градусов. Там влезает почти ТРИ ИЛС. ...Проверить увиденное просто: известно, что (горизонтальное) общее поле зрения индикатора на фоне лобового стекла (ИЛС-31) составляет 24°. У обычного компьютерного игрока реалистичное поле зрения - как из бойницы.

Since Il-2 times i'm taking care of my screen's cleanness. Not a single dot or spot is acceptable, since they produce image artifacts, which draw my attention in fight. So, i would not want to touch my screen with my fingers when i'm not totally sure they're very clean. So, i give my voice to a dedicated touch-screen. Otherwise i would have to wear gloves...

Ну это от винта зависит и условий. Копирнул большой файл на медленный самсунг 103SI (5400rpm) - 105 мбайт/с устойчивая скорость. 103SJ будет писать все 150 мбайт/с. Но условия - диск дефрагментирован, копирование с рейда 0, запись идет в начало диска. В конце диска скорость упадет вполовину.

Пожалуйста напиши, как она называется!

Если все юсб-порты на мамке уже перепробованы, то надо попробовать на другом компутере. Кстати, помнится на 965 чипсете у трекира были проблемы с распознаванием.

i'm using TV as the only monitor in the system too, connected through DVI-HDMI adapter. Sound goes through this interface as well. One important note: as TV doesn't understand "sleep" mode (lamps don't go off when there's no signal), user is likely to turn it off manually every time he doesn't use it for a noticable period of time. And when i wake up my PC, i touch the mouse and push the "ON" button on my TV. That is enough in normal situation. I've been using Radeon 4850 for a while, liked it so much, but once upon a time i've routinely installed a fresh video driver, and after that update my card couldn't initialize video signal output after leaving sleep mode. Touch the mouse, push the button - nothing. I've found that in order to restore the signal, i had to pull the cable out and plug it back in. It looked like my Radeon couldn't restore its display connection. I had been trying different drivers and waited for the updates (as they're updated by ATI generally every month), but the problem didn't go. So, i made an upgrade to GTX260. The problem never happened again.

Настройка кривых отклика задает предельные углы отклонения головы, позволяя подобрать их индивидуально. Можно крутить башкой сильней, обзор будет точней. Но комфортные углы у людей в общем-то одинаковы. Всё, что осталось, включая шум, кривые просто перераспределяют по пространству обзора - где-то шуметь будет поменьше за счет того, что где-то будет побольше. Кто-то замечает, кто-то нет. У человека выбор между трекиром 4 и 5, и неясно, что лучше, если вылезут нежелательные колебания - об этом я ему и писал. В целом, люди довольны качеством обзора и с трекиром-4. Такого мнения, чтоб с 4 было "не очень", а с 5 "хорошо" - я ещё не встречал. Кстати, с дефолтным сглаживанием в 25, как у тебя, обзор уже с заметной задержкой. Экспериментируя с софтом, я ставлю сглаживание 5 - реакция отличная, нравится значительно больше. Но без специальных программных штучек такой обзор дрожит.

And at least some data on those real-word systems. Or they could use a simpler model, but with a broad access to some very specific tech data, which is being kept in strict secret... Unreal. But apart from advanced EW, i hope they will make radar systems much more interesting in usage, somewhere in the future. And (semi-)automatic EW systems as well. They just will have to do that while making a fighter, since there is a visible level of the aircraft simulation in DCS, which should not be lowered. I mean, i don't think it's appropriate to make an F-16 with all its bells and whistles like Ka-50 in DCS, but having very simple radar operation comparable to that in LO.

Четвертый трекир поддерживается 4-ой и 5-ой версиями софта. Пятый - только пятой версией. А что касается качества обзора - вопрос неочевидный. Это баланс между точностью обзора и стабильностью. Источник шума в системе - голова, которая покачивается, ибо гвоздиком не прибита. Повышение разрешения сенсора увеличивает точность, однако более точное устройство (5) будет воспроизводить мелкий шум, который съедается менее точным устройством (4). Но съедается не полностью - частично будут возникать более крупные смещения, чем в (5). Применительно к описанной выше проблеме, в софте трекира есть режим повышенной точности, который по сути загрубляет отклик, позволяя "съедать" нежелательные колебания. Но вряд ли можно полноценно оглядываться на ~180 в этом режиме, не рискуя заработать косоглазие. ВременнОе сглаживание в софте трекира отчасти способствует решению проблемы, добавляя обзору стабильность. Однако это самый... неэффективный способ. Обзор становится медленный и тягучий. В целом, пока просто нет сколь-нибудь большого количества отзывов людей, перешедших с (4) на (5) - больно затратная процедура с неочевидными последствиями. Не могу сказать, стоит ли доплачивать 1,5тыр. Одно известно - разные люди довольны и (4), и (5).

And i guess the forebody form could be more specifically called "diamond-shaped"? --- An object different in shape is an object different in aerodynamics (besides its reflectivity) - which is a big part of an airplane. That's my point. PAK FA shares a part of its layout with Su-27 family, but still it's really far from them in shape. I can't say that about MiG-35 or F/A-18E/F for example.

I find it quite sexy at about 3/4 front aspect angle. But there are no appropriate pics yet at this aspect. Apart from those other ways being mentioned by different people (not so much info on that), the main landing gear goes into the ...how should i call it, the air duct section. True, but being different structurally and in other ways, those aircraft are still very similar aerodynamically; which can't be said about PAK FA + anything else.
