  1. the tree's look very good but also they is almost no variation in them. at least in the movies. wonder how they manage to render that many is good quality. there's also some impressive mountain screenshots that supposly show displacement mapping. not that impressive in the movie. regardles, there is a bright future :D
  2. they basicly take what they allready have within http://www.thebattlesim.com/ and remove a few things :) thats my understanding :P
  3. did you follow the order of flying "a few" kilometers ahead of the convoy or did you stay with the convoy ? if you flew ahead i guess you then turned around once the radio transmission of the ambush was received and aproached from the other side ? how far away from the ambush have you been while you deployed the S-8 rockets ?
  4. Yes, i know where the enemys are located. However i play the mission as if i dont know where they appear, even tho its not allways easy to pretent of not knowing it :)
  5. hah ! fantastic ! thanks alot !
  6. I can very much recommend theese pedals: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=49173 they feel very good and precise, also in the 'critical' middle-region.
  7. rewarming and old thread, but I've been wondering about measuring distance between two entities in a tacview playback. is the distance between the white crosses on the terrain 1km or 2km ? or something entirely different ? maybe there is a hidden measurement tool aswell ? like the one in the BS mission editor :D
  8. As the topic suggests, I would like to watch some tracks of how you have flown the 2nd mission in the Deployment-Campagn. Please provide the BS track-file and in case you have it, also the tacview file. Thanks to anyone participating ! :D
  9. .. and boardable vehicles
  10. what i currently use is: - SIMMOD_LoReload_Terrain - HokumSounds - Some mod that changes the fire&smoke effects (forgott name) - NoCloudShadows - Some mod that changes the cockpit-window glass (forgott name, not dust&scratches tho).
  11. i did this aswell first thing.
  12. some update. since i have now owned and tested the simped vario pro/usb pedals for a few days i can attest them a very good build quality and very precise controls. they dont take away too much space either and the supplied velcro strip keeps it glued onto my carpet :) i'd recommend them to anyone looking for quality pedals.
  13. When u say Warthog is going to be a standalone product, does that indicate improvements made to Warthog like for example extensions to the mission editor are not going to be available for BS pilots if they own both products ? i had the understanding further products would be supplied in form of "modules" that would add onto dcs:bs. thanks for info.
  14. hey :) i dont get how to search for a phrase in theese forums. i use the advanced search page. i tried encsapsulation with " like: "find this" aswell as using AND like: find AND this but in both cases it will also highlight text passages in the results that contain either find OR this. also wondering if there is a NOT operator like: "find this" NOT that, which would find everything containing "find this" and not containing "that".
  15. Multiple Waypoint-Routes, switchable by Trigger/Rule Stop/Continue Waypoint-Travel Rule Quick "3D View" preview, to see how things will look in the game Tool for measuring angle's / like the distance-tool. Small Image of currently selected unit being displayed somewhere.
  16. lol. nice track ^^.
  17. Thanks. Good tipps with the 45 degree offset. gonna try that. also downloading track now. thanks for providing it :D
  18. Hey everyone. I was wondering if someone feels like sharing some tipps for landing on a FARP.
  19. Ist die hier im Forum angeheftete Handbuch Version eigentlich identisch mit der von der DVD installierten, oder gibt es Änderungen ? Hatte mir damals die DVD-Version ausgedruckt.
  20. hmm. interesting :D - tho not what i needed :) i use my mouse for mouse movement. I solved the shkval movement now tho. didnt need to map to axis.
  21. in order to complete the mission you must follow the hind <closely>. meaning not fly too much ahead and not keep to much behind. the mission is set up with a set of rules that check if you and the hind are inside respective trigger zones, that then trigger all the stuff he sais to you. in the last rule, it checks weather you have been with him in the last trigger zone within 10 minutes i believe, this triggers the "mission successfull" condition.
  22. I had the X52 pro for about a year now and recently switched to the CH Fighterstick. I liked the button layout of the X52 alot, but over time it developed center play and became inprecise. it`s also not the most precise stick out of the box. smooth movement was difficult because you had to reduce force the more you applied, due to how it is build with the spring on the disc design. the fighterstick beats the x52 in any regards except button layout imo. it is build sturdy, is very precise and allows for force to be evenly applied, thus allowing much smoother input. i was very suprised about the plastic quality aswell. feels very good. also unlike other people i find the stick very comfortable aswell. but then again i have pretty big hands. i wouldn't recommend the x52 over the fighterstick to anyone unless they were tight on the money or have small hands.
  23. found it now. there are seperate keybinds for shkval left, right,up,down that the pov directions can be assigned to. thus assignment in the axis category is not neccesary.
  24. Thanks, but too much information :) All I want is use the Fighterstick's POV to control the shkval like propably everyone who plays BS use their Fightersticks POV for. /edit: i made a picture:
