  1. Hope you did not forget the resistor... My first try started to burn while atttached to my head.
  2. Nope. No shorting. I tested it with my multimeter. I have a pro micro, so I plugged the x-fighter to it, and it shows correctly only the pressed buttons. Windows joy-cpl and vkb-buttontest still show 11-18 as pressed when I use the wh base. Again, I am willing to see this as a cosmetic problem; as long as I do not map these buttons in dcs, no harm is done, but I am still curious about the how and why.
  3. Apparently the back side of the PCB touched the ground pin from the trigger. The insulation I fabriced was kind of sh**ty. So some tape to the rescue. Works fine now! Just out of curiosity: The "pressed" non-existing buttons are because the warthog base expects 3 shift register chips? I am not really great in electronics but willing to learn... So again big thanks for a good documentation and clear instructions!
  4. After I opened it to shoot some pics and screwed it back together again theres no more floating. Buttons 11-18 stay on rock solid. Not that big problem. Anyway, heres some pics: https://imgur.com/gallery/WQrtvFf Very nice project and thanks for quick reply.
  5. Hi Debolestis, I just finished my X-Fighter mod striktly according to your plan. But now Windows joy.cpl shows me buttons 11 - 18 floating, especially if I play with the hat. Any idea what I could have missed? Greetings and thanks for a wonderful mod, shapeways parts and pcb's. Edit:I have soldered a capacitor, but no 10k-resistor on the upper side of the board as you wrote it is only necessary if I would want to add more shift boards. Could that be the cause?
  6. Thats what I did: https://imgur.com/gallery/lMl5sxN Have fun!
  7. Ok, my bad. Maybe dupont cables could be what you need? You can take off the plastic cover. But I would stick with the mini din plugs because they do not fall off as easy as the dupont cables. You could take off the plastic cover of them also for more convenience in threading them through your extensions.
  8. They are called mini-din (at least in germany) https://www.reichelt.de/mini-din-stecker-5-pol-bkl-0204003-p235711.html?&trstct=pol_4&nbc=1 You need 5-pin version, for the female part you can take 6-pin
  9. Here is one. Site is german but gives part numbers so you can find these switches elsewhere. https://www.reichelt.de/hebelschalter-10-4-a-400vac-1x-ein-aus-hs-631-h2-p105644.html?&trstct=pol_10&nbc=1
  10. Yes i thought so. Hispapanels.com may be interesting but require more work because its only frames and buttonheads.
  11. The bezels offered by simparts.de look very nice, but they are excessively expensive...
  12. Its a stsp toggle switch like this: https://www.reichelt.de/hebelschalter-10-4-a-400vac-1x-ein-aus-hs-631-h2-p105644.html?&trstct=pol_10&nbc=1 It will be very hard to replace because its soldered into the board of the throttle...
  13. I upgraded from x52 (non pro) to a warthog 1 1/2 years ago. Magnetic sensors are way superior to pots, so precision is much better. I do not regret.
  14. Where did you get your max487's? I bought a 50-pack on ebay for 10$ and only 1 survived. Then i bought new ones from Reichelt for 2€ per unit and all are goood and working. For testing maybe this can help? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2985413&postcount=578 Good luck and hang on!
  15. I just watched your video about your new MFCD´s. Impressive!
  16. Your wiring sounds ok. The potentiometer should work without additional code; the servo needs the servo.h library. Maybe you could post your code? Have you tried it on one or several megas? Some of them seem to have problems with DCS-BIOS. Greetings
  17. You did an outstanding job and inspired us to learn so much... Danke von ganzem Herzen!
  18. Maybe a dumb question; but did you add the "SevenSegmentTM1637" library to your arduino IDE?
  19. Ähh... Wow. How does your ADI work?
  20. Works like a charm. Wonderful! Thank you very much.
  21. Would it be possible to make it work with a RS485-bus? I tried hooking up a single nano and it worked, but when i hooked up a mega as master with a RS485-attached nano i got no response (the RS-485 bus is working, i just wanted to see whats possible). Great work, by the way! Its very helpful already! Thanks!
  22. I have several megas running as slaves. The master can only be a mega, slaves should work with all arduinos.
  23. I just printed them on A4 and they came out ok in hte first run, after changing printers i had to reduce size. Standard side panels should be 146.something millimeters... On Pcflights.com they give dimensions for all panels they offer. Have fun!
  24. Have a look in Romeo Kilo´s Pit build, he has some very detailed plans... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228166 greetings!
