@NineLine I’m sure it’s hard for them to see that hard work being under appreciated. Hopefully they see past that and know there are a vast amount of us that have our minds blown each and every day because of their works of art. I was extremely impressed with that video, and all things DCS really. The vocal minority do not represent the silent majority!

Hopefully you get it worked out. I’ve never flown the free modules so not sure sure if there is any thing specific you can do. I’m sure it’s a setting on your system somewhere. DCS is very stable on my system unless I tweak the over clock outside of parameters. Which has nothing to do with DCS. Occasionally we get patches that break a module that will cause hard crashing but it gets fixed the next patch. But I haven’t seen any other threads since the last patch that are saying either of those modules are causing hard crashes. Doesn’t mean it’s not posted I’ve just not seen it. Good luck.
-
Then I think maybe the answer is the 51D module. There are a lot of error codes for the module in your log file.

I just saw it, he has a Corsair 850 I would guess PS is not the issue, but you never know.
-
That was another question I asked but haven’t heard back from him. The power supply. I think with a 2070 you probably need a minimum of a 600W. Higher would be better.
-
Your card can handle those settings no problem. You should be able to max out most settings just fine. My RX5700 is the same class or tier of card as yours. I have everything maxed except for civilian traffic and get 90+ FPS, and my card runs about 68C with the stock fan and slight over clock. So, you either have a heating issue, core speed vs. power issue, or ram clock issue. If your processor is only putting out 14% then there is an issue with hardware. This is a CPU intensive game. My GPU averages around 90% and my processor averages 60%. I know that with mine, granted different brand, had to have the base clock raised from 750 MHz to 900mhz and at least the same percentage more in Mv added to the base clock plus the same percentage added along the whole power curve to be stable on DCS.
-
That’s the proper log. FYI you do have at least one mod. Glamorous glen cockpit mod. Anyway. Sounds like a GPU issue. Are you over clocking the card? I don’t have your card. I’m running the RX 5700. But when I am trying to push the MHZ up but don’t add enough power to keep up, I get a hard crash that has to be reset. Very fine line trying to keep temps down but you have to give it the juice. It could also be a overheat issue on the GPU or CPU. Your settings indicate you are not running in full screen, and you have civilian traffic on high. Civilian traffic taxes the system pretty hard. Also maybe your system doesn’t like not running the monitor at a non native resolution. Try full screen. How many watts is your power supply?

Doesn't A-10C feel more flight capable in real life?

You could start a discord for it. That is a perfect platform for something like that. -
@NineLine It’s already been said but, I commend you for the very good job you do dealing with Public Relations. Hang in there bro! What this thread mostly taught me is that there is a vocal minority that will always be part of the problem and not the solution. And I mean minority. There are what, 3-4 people on here out of thousands. Statistically the view of the few is insignificant. I come from a first responder background, and have taken many 200 and 300 level leadership courses. One thing that is taught in all of them is that 20% of the organization will eat up 80% of your time IF YOU ALLOW IT. But I’m sure you are very aware of that. Point is job well done, carry on! You are appreciated. Some points I will make which will probably mean absolutely nothing to most on this thread: 1. This is a private company, being moderated by said company. You don’t have the right to free speech on a private forum. The owner of the forum does have the right to moderate it, censor it, and do whatever else it thinks is necessary to make sure the comments are constructive, and accomplish their internal goals of having a forum. If you want to talk in ways that are against the rules that’s fine, there are plenty of other outlets to do that. 2. I am a business owner. You learn very early on that you have a target customer base. And business 101 teaches that niche companies that hyper focus on their niche customer usually do far better. There are exceptions to the rule but... Any good business owner will absolutely avoid the customers that are undesirable. I have spent years narrowing down my customer base so that only my target customer initiates contact. The customers that are complainers, counter productive, or just difficult to deal with get dropped. 3. ED has said they appreciate constructive criticism, and constructive bug reporting. This thread has not been productive. No matter your level of compassion for making the game better, if you don’t do it in a way that ED finds constructive then you will not be heard. You will not foster any change in the organization. The only thing you accomplish is to waste your own time. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT MATTER WHATSOEVER WHAT YOUR OPINION OF HOW ED RUNS ITS BUSINESS SHOUD BE. Telling them they should do things one way or another will quite literally never be heard or considered. If you think you can do it better, then go do it better. Start your own company based on your own market research, and then tell me if you give one Nano second of though to what someone on the internet says about how you deliver your product. Trust me, the answer is that you will not. In closing. I think the more productive way to try and get things changed to how you feel it should be, would be too ask ED what they would consider helpful in advancing the sim. What kind of information and in what format do you need it. How exactly can I help you develop the sim in a way that is meaningful to you as the developer? (P.S. they have done this in the “how to report bugs” sticky). Which most people don’t follow and then get mad that their issue isn’t addressed. I know this will be an unpopular comment on this thread. I said what I wanted to in order to try and contribute something. I will not muddy up the thread any further by responding to any negative posts on my comment that are intended to derail the thread. Happy flying!

Can't add Large airplanes on southern Iranian airfields
KTFBGB replied to -Cipher-'s topic in Mission Editor Bugs
I would venture the guess that this would be extremely low priority for the devs. I’m sure they will fix it after much more pressing items. -
I would guess that he is doing all the videos on the in-house version. Which, if that’s the case, you would not be able to run it.
-
Have you read all the posts that describe the work around?
-
My bad. I was referring to the Tpod. Forgot where I was I guess:doh:

Sting, Typically I don’t go in and edit missions to place waypoints on individual targets. I use waypoints for navigation, find and then designate targets. So for those of us who fly a flight plan with waypoints eg. Wp 1 =5000 ft, wp 2 cruise 30,000ft, wp 3 fence in, wp 4 ip 20,000 ft, wp 5 egress/cruise 30,000 ft, the pod uses the elevation of the nearest waypoint to compute the release cue. So we have to change all the above waypoints to 0 agl, cause even if they are on a hill at 1500 asl, they are still 0 agl, and the compute works for the release point. You can’t enter the asl of the target if you don’t know where the targets are. Which I don’t. I leave ground units hidden on the f10 map and find them visually.
-
Don’t give me credit lol. NoJoe post #90 of this thread figured it out 9 days ago. The subsequent posts after that was some testing and like 100 more posts trying to tell everyone this was the issue. Too bad you missed it, could have been hitting targets for over a week lol.
-
Because we are bombing targets designated with the TPOD. Not waypoints. However the TPOD is making the tgt point elevation the same as whatever the nearby waypoint is. As it is right now you can’t have any steer points at an assigned elevation. You have to change them all to zero because you don’t know which steer point it is going to grab when you designate the target.

[CORRECT AS IS] AGM-84D Harpoon High Flight Profile Not Working
KTFBGB replied to TeamMaximus's topic in Bugs and Problems
What you describe is exactly what the manual says. It says cruise altitude is 35k. Says nothing about climbing. -
After firing the first one. You have to set up the next one from scratch. Data doesn’t transfer from one to another.
-
Then everyone will complain that PG is ‘unplayable” due to FPS of 5 using their 15 year old graphics card and 4gig of ram :chair::megalol:
-
Never had that problem. I’m guessing it’s a mod issue.
-
They already stated we are getting a cheek mount at a later date. The adaptor bracket still has to be modeled.
-
Drac is there any way you can record a clip for us? Radeon and Nvidia both have game capturing and then load that to YouTube. I think you were the one having track file corruption right? I feel like since most of us figured it out to be way point related that either there is something being lost In Translation it you have a corrupted or piece of a corrupted mod somewhere. You could try posting the log file too. You can see if there is an old mod causing issues most times with the log.

Got it. Oh well it was a thought.
