  7. It that time - I've tried to do my best so I've cutted every single stab for runway from different positions of photo. It was a nightmare! :) In my last mod - I've used 10 or more generated layers to create the concrete itself. Thanx for tip!
  8. @ DragonRR Nope, no bump in LO\BS. Only Alpha. And one more thing- the lines usually painted over the joints. #I carefully colour matched each tile to avoid patterning issues# - Oh man, I'v done such in my first attemp - it's nightmare. :) Anyway - looks good. :) Don't care about my grumbling. It's _your_ mod! @ Rhino4 You mostly right. I mean that usually the joints are filled with tar and don't looks perfectly straight. Cause you know - young solder mostly care about drinks-and-girls not about the looks-of-runway. :) More to say - AFAIK - there two way to create runway\taxiway - fill the forms with concrete right in place or create runway using ready-to-use stubs. In case of stubs - they placed very close to each other, and anyway - they use tar.

  10. @beczl You know... In BS It's looks really cool as well! :) Is it possible to create more detailed texture? BTW - It seems this is first version. Grab it from LOfiles.
  11. here some constructive coments :) First of all - it's better to try to create the surface looks like real not LO-like. - stubs looks ideally flat, like colored glass. Try to add some roughness. - joints are perfectly straight and too wide(if this is the jounts without tar into it), and you forgot the transportation hollows. IMHO - you should decide - create the texture according reference photo from first post or create real one. BTW - How you create the concrete itself? It looks very good. Photo or some photoshop technique? Could you share it?

  14. Вы будете смеятся, но это помоему зависит от положения текстуры относительно сторон света, или ещё чего-то. :) В одних портах текстуры РД тянутся вдоль, в других - поперёк. Особенности, блин, реализации... Вот-бы инструментарий заполучить для создания портов...
  15. Обратил внимание и в игре и на картинке из ссылки выше - нижний НВ "заваливается" сильнее верхнего. Почему так? Зарание спасибо.
  16. It's not really easy for me, couse I don't know which landmark I should use, and there no any info in debrif or on map on that.
  17. Yup, think so also. IMHO - it's better to "hide" rockets in "dark" like ED does. In this case nobody knows is there any rocket or not. And it will be ok in both cases. @beczl Yea, please feel free to PM me if any testing required. :)

  22. Hellyeah :) Just to clarify - 486 - was first my own PC. :) We started on ATARI, then Karateka and Abrams Tank on XT 8086\87 with four-color screen. But you right xell, - my PC still up-to-date and full of hand-solded stuff only in cause of fly-sims.
  23. Don't know how fast Citrix CPU was in games (But I have one in my collection of old CPUs. Looks funny, you know. :) ) But on my lightning-fast 486dx2 I've played in F-19, F-117, LHX, Strike Commande and Gunship sims, Tie-Fighter runs fast and smoothly. I'ts funny, cause now my old PocketPC is triply faster than that antiques old-man. :) BTW - as far as I remember - SU-27 are flying with 486 CPU, and Space Shuttles with Pentium 1.
  24. Тоесть по сути - просто кручение Шквалом в стороны, без кнюпеля. Так и подумал. :) Однако рамка "прилипает" к какомуто месту на земле, а при повтороном нажатии на "О" - двигается и прилипает к другому и так далее. Причем, мне показалось, что есть зависимость - каждая следующая точка "прилипания" дальше предыдущей.
  25. heh... 486DX2 66Mhz - was my first PC... Even with Voodoo2 video accellerator and SoundBlaster 16! Wooh, super-fast PC! :D New Generation people not even heard about such gaming-PCs :)
