I'm not yet sold on the new clouds... i appreciate its baby steps with implementation but here hoping to get clouds that move along with random rain as currently i am finding that its either rain or no rain across the whole map. Is this due to use of static weather templates? I am sure I watched a Wags video where he said.. oh look, some rain ahead and you could see it, a rain cloud.

cannot reproduce and missing track file ACLS lands me in the sea?

Ive recently learnt how to do an ACLS landing and everytime is spot on - Grade C Thats if I am flying single player. In multiplayer however, things seem to come adrift... Unlike Case 1 where we have had several Players and both F18s and F14s flying, we join the stack and come in to land in turn with half a circuits speration or less between aircraft landing. With ACLS... can only one at a time land or can you get multiple F18s transitioning from ESTALISHED, COMMENCING, PLATFORM etc through to Needles and lock on... I am assuming only one F18 can be Locked on in Coupled P/R Mode but surely others can be coming in behind or it there some limitation within DCS that doesnt allow this yet? I have also noted that, Mother gives a Final Bearing rather than BRC... so theres no maths, its just input the Final Bearing in to CSEL and fly down that.... is thjat correct... its working for me. Thanks -

I understand that there is a New SimShaker update for download but I am unable to get it... when I click the pop up message to take me to the file I am getting a One Drive Error 103 code and unsure why... is it me or is the link to the Onedrive share corrupt? Update... it doesn tlike Firefox as just gone straight to the file using Edge.... Thanks in advance, -

Ive just realised that the lod3in1 file i have is different liveries to what I have. I'm unsure how to make that?

I think its downloaded ones but can confirm that I do have the lod3in1 loadied and documented in the lua file.

I have just noticed that F14 Liveries switch to default rather than the one set in ME when viewed from a distance... In other words, the livery skin for an F14 thats chosen in ME to fly with will change to a default livery other than one chosen when you zoom out in an F2 view. Is this an issue with the compression of mipmaps or a bug within DCS? Is anyone else experincing this issue?

Its released... is trhis a Hermes version with Sea Cat rather than huge Sea Darts? I downloaded about an hour ago and the Sea Darts are still huge?

Hoping the known issues get resolved... have also noted that AI AV-8Bs line up behind Player AV-8Beven if this means each other aircraft is suspended in mid-air behind the Carrier Invincible. Other ships required are Type 21 and 22 Frigates and Type 42 Destroyers... please -

I am somewhat surprised that the 'landing strips' at both Pebble Island and Goose Green haven't been modeled... is there plans to add these to the map? -
Thats interesting as I myself have worked on an MOD project that was a synthetic trainer for for JTAC training but it was based with the RAF.

Talk to the survisors of HMS Aerdent, Antelope and Coventry, all of which were sunk as a result of being bombed with dumb bombs... in the case of HMS Ardent, she suffered multiple hits by dumb bombs! Consequently, given the accuracy and lethality of modelled warships, and the fact that they dont seem to suffer any impediments, in my humble opinion,my statement still stands, the ships in DCS are too potent an advesary within the game/simulation. This has worked a treat. Many thanks for taking the time to explain this alkl to me. I most definitely have learnt something new and am now in your debt.

This is great, many thanks and i can follow it all up to a point... In the Switched Condition (SAM ROE Weapons Free) Trigger the Action AI TASK SET is AI TASK drop down menu 'SAM Group/1. ROE + WEAPONS FREE SAM_ROE_free' Where does that come from or is it a free form statement we have to write ourselves? Thanks in advance

The air defences of ships is too potent.. even AAA gun fire from ships is highly accurate and gives little chance for even multiple attacking aircraft to undertake a strike using dumb bombs.. I have read numerous books and even recent real life events illustrate that Ships are not invulnerable.. I am not saying i want to make it easier to attck ships... just more realistic. For instance, the Falklands Campaign of 1982 (South Atlantic Map) the Royal Navy lost HMS Ardent, Antelope, Coventry and Sir Galahad to dumb bombs. HMS Shefield and Atlantic Conveyor were lost to Exocet Missiles. Air defence systems failed due to malfunction due to weather conditions, salt encrusted micro-switches on Sea Dart and human error such other systems blocked out ships RADAR as was case with HMS Shefield. My wish is that the option is that ships defence systems and accuracy should be 'randomised' to add the element of, with the 'luck of the gods' coming in to play to add realism.

I got same black out over Stanley in the A4 mod and the Harrier… I use TrackIR. I have also seen some black flickering when flying over the islands but it is not as pronounced as it is over Stanley. -

I noticed on one the elevation map that there are two Port Pleseants near Bluff Cove/Fitzroy. also, flying bearing 270 in to Port Stanley, and Port Stanley airfield my screen goes black, flickers on and off and as soon as away from that area… it doesn’t happen. Other than that, loving the map. Excellent terrain, we need the asset pack… the ships, Harrier flying off and onto Invincible. On the subject of ships… their air defences is way too potent… even AAA is totally lethal… unrealistic! -
