DCS recognizes the tow seperately. I use TARGET so my Warthog HOTAS shows up as one controller. The Virpil Collective shows as a separate controller. You will need to go into the control setup and clear the Collective axis from the TM throttle and then set map the Virpil X axis to the collective. For the jets , you will most likely need to clear the Virpil collective at least the Joy_X and Joy_Y axis so that there isn't any conflict.

Razorback, Thanks for the information.

All, I just installed my Virpil Rotor TCS Plus Base with the Sharka-50 grip. I notice that it has abut 1 inch of free paly. That being I can move the end of collective about a inch before I feel any resistance or movement of the collective. this is not the resistance of moving the collective itself. Is that normal? Is there e a way to adjust that. Could that be induced by the setup? UPDATE: I think I have this fixed. The screw assembly connecting the base to the Chair attachment piece was not tightened down all the way. I gave it a little extra elbow grease and it seems fine now

I'll give that a shot.

Yes, I mapped to the throttle. set up as slider, and verified it moves in the correct direction. The one mission I tried is a hot start on the ground (Syria I think). in that I have the Virpil Throttle all the way to max. Shortly after unpausing the game, you here theengines start spinning down and then she announces generator failures. I did try another "free flight mission and it worked fine in that as well as in auto cold starts.

OK, got mine in yesterday and now have it installed to the chair and setup in the Virpil software. DCS does see it. I have only tried to test a few times and am missing something. I have the TCS Rotor Plus base with the Sharka 50 head. I have tried in the Mi-8MTV2. With hot starts, the engines die just after unpausing the game. If I do a cold start every thing seems to work fine. Do I need to do something with the idle. Thanks.

I too supported this. Is there a way to get it noticed by ED. Even so, I think it would be very low on their 'to do list'.

I will second this request, as well as any other choppers that has a similar setup.

Got it, and thanks much!

OK, follow-up question. I see that you have the Cougar stick and throttle setup. How do you get them to interface with games/DCS Also does TARGET see them?
-
Thanks. Nice setup. Mine is miles away from that. I only have the HOTAS, rudder peadl;s and PointCTRL. That and my setup is used for gaming as well as all ohter things. I FINALLY got my shiping notification today. 7 more days.

My solution for a flexible and relatively cheap (VR) setup

VERY nice setup. Looks like I have a ways to go. Love the PointCTRLs -
Thanks for the information. Good to hear that all the key binds came back/were still there. Looking forward to get my "Its in the mail" notice. Also looking forward to see pictures of your setup.

If you have a copy of you Saved Games folder somewhere it should have them. You might poke around in your current folder and see if there are anything. I wonder why it would erase all your key bindings. That is strange and ED/Virpil should protect against that. Looking forward to your review and comments on how the TEC Plus Base is.

Any idea if this still works. I tried something similar and got an error. Haven't' a clue if I made the error, or if things have changed.

I'll be interested in how you think it works, epically the Throttle. The more I look at the potions (far back on the collective) the more I think it won't be much use for manual control. Time, use, and reviews will tell the story.

What was you order date.? Just curious where I might be in the queue.

Congratulations!! Still nothing for me, but this gives me hope. Can't wait to see what you think.

Would love to see the Little Bird in DCS. I do have the mod and find it very interesting.

I contacted Virpil yesterday, and they gave me the same information as ohters have shared. They should start shipping this week (Friday????) and next week as well.
-
Interesting. When did you place your original order. I placed mine on May 18th and PayPal has NOT been charged. Hope like heck I didn't drop through the cracks.

Ugh, doesn't sound good for me as there has been no activity on the card. Seems like I will be at least 2 weeks behind. Well, guess that will give more time for more reviews to come out.
