I am getting significantly worse (at least to me) fps since the latest patch. Was a solid 45 with some upward spikes. Now getting 38 - 40 with some downward spikes. Anyone else seeing this?

How to create "Mode 2" Function for HOTAS
AKA_Clutter replied to Moki's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Don't hesitate to ask questions. There is an utility that helps convert the keyboard.html to a TRAGET Macro file. It id "DCS_TARGET_Macro_File_Generator". It is pretty good and easy to use. You still have to setup your profile, but it helps. Or at least I like it. DCS TRAGET Macro FIle Generator : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1730806/ -

I completely agree and understand the delay. It may not ever be perfect, but fix the known bugs when you find them. Being next on the list at #21 I am perfectly fine with waiting a bit. Salute sir!- 3421 replies

How to create "Mode 2" Function for HOTAS
AKA_Clutter replied to Moki's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
In TARGET select the Advanced option when first creating a profile. After adding the controllers you will have an option to change the control modifiers. There you can set the buttons for In and Out modifier, as we as the Upper, Middle and Lower layers. EDIT. It is called "Edit Layers" and it in the Assign Parameters window, upper right hand corner. -
Was flying Bankler's Case 1 Training mission in the FA-18 tonight and noticed something strange. Sittng on the deck, or flying toward the carrier I have a solid 45 fps. Flying away from the carrier (~ 175 heading) I have 90 fps, look over the cockpit or looing in the cockpit., turn back towards the carrier 4 miles out and fps goes bac to 90 fps. The main difference that I can see is that heading north, there are clods. Heading south there are none. I'm not sure, but I think ASW was off (at least that is the profile in OTT) Here are my test result from last Friday. Results: Looking out over HUD at mission start Stable - 65 tp 75 fps OBeta - 62 to 68 fps Looking down at the city or in cockpit Stable - locked at 45 fps OBeta - locked at 45 fps Looking straight up Stable - locked at 90 fps OBeta - locked at 90 fps

Make sure that you are no setting SS in the OTT and the PD in DCS. They are basically the same thing and will double up on each other. I have mine set in DCS at 1.5 and get 45 fps. MMSA is set to 2, AA set to 2 (or 4) and Shadows set to flat. I am running a Rift CV1 with a GTX 1080. Hope t hat helps

Hi mrushforth, Without more details on your system specifications, GPU, and DCS setting ist is prttey hard to suggest anything specific. The link below is somewhat dated but does a pretty good job of explaining what settings have the most impact on fps. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Youtube+All+things+VR&view=detail&mid=5645616A5D472B510C9A5645616A5D472B510C9A&FORM=VIRE Also, I would suggest looking through the thread below to find a system similar to yours and try those settings. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=243521 S!

Help with running the VR test. Hi, I have tried running the VR test and I get a solid 45 fps in both stable and OB. I think I have ASW off. I have the Oculus Rift CV1. I use SkateZilla's DCS Updater utility to launch DCS in VR Typically I use Oculus Tray tool with ASW in Auto. I turned that off and ran the test. A solid 45 fps in both. I launched DCS again, with OOT turned off and again a solid 45 fps in both Stable and OB. I looked in the PRESET1 for launching VR via DCS Updater GUIO and didn't see anything that would fix the fps to 45 or turn ASW on. I have never used the Oculus debug tool, so I have not tried that. I think when I originally got the CV1 you had to go through stem VR to run DCS> Anyway, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. S!

Hi, What is the difference between Force Trim [LAlt - U], Pilot Trimer [T], and Trimmer Reset [LCtrl - T] Also, I assume the Huey doesn't have traditional pitch, Roll, and yaw trimers. The reason I ask is that the Gazelle does, but the Ka-50 doesn't either. Thanks!

I have generated macro files for use in creating profiles. These were generated from the HTML files for the various modules. Each comes with the controls grouped by common element, joystick, cheats, front panel, etc. When I "import Event" in the TARGET GUI I have a heading of "Generic" with some commands in that. The "Generic" heading does not appear in my macro file, and the commands appear under different heading in the macro files, but not in the TARGET Import event window/list. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller
AKA_Clutter replied to MilesD's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Miles, This probably answered somewhere in the 120+ pages, but I'll ask anyway. Does PointCTRL work in any other flight sim besides DCS at this point in time. I didn't think it did, but your website inspired the question. BTW< I like the looks of the website. Looking forward to being able to place an order son. :-)- 3421 replies

Hi SkateZilla, Love the utility and have used it for a while. Tonight when I reboot my machine, the utility freezes, and then states "Not Responding" in the Task manager. I have downloaded the file again and overwrote the old file. Same thing. Is there a way to reset things, some .ini file or something to rest. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I know that but my situation is a little different. I want to buy two modules for future gifts. I don't know whom I want to give them to yet, but would like to pick the modules up while they are on sale. Thanks,,
