Thanks, better than nothing eh. Must look weird to fill the streets with 'em, permanent road works ..

was trying to make a night mission for the Syria Map, Damascus, with a vehicle as player. Noticed there were some working lamp-light poles on the airfield. Are there none for the city streets available? Would be nice if you could use those working lampposts elsewhere too.

500GB should be enough for one windows installation, but not when you install other (large) programs there. as well. Your DDR memory size may have a large influence too, and the pagefile size location and size (DDR memory size is important for that). BTW I always keep my windows on a separate Boot-C partition, and install programs (if possible) on a separate drive or partition called PRG. This so i can use Acronis to back up my working windows for a reinstall when windows update screws my windows up once again.

Nope, in the mission editor when loading an existing mission. In F10 it's easy enough ... but i can find it via F10, memorizing it's location. But C in the ME does not seem to work. Bug?

It takes a while to find the player in an existing mission; is there a trick for that? C for center on player under edit does not seem to work.

ah, thanks, it was on, now off. Mi-8 chopper: still i can't get this collector thing right for my warthog throttle axis. Slider on it is engine power, set to full. Got a axis button doubling my yaw (pedals). the actual throttle id the Flight Control Collective, but it also control;s yaw too, cannot figure out why ....

Stupid question, Options, Gameplay: There's no force feedback box with the latest dec 12 2024 update, only at the low right corner it has presets, and then no force from mission, use mine. is that it?

I am testing Syria, it was recommended to do. but i am not really impressed .... especially player driving a vehicle. Any spots i am missing on the map ? PS it seems since December 2024 we need more like added combat parties, maybe even chemical weapons alas. Or this? :

Darn ... nice update, compiliments devs. BUT with DCS 2.9.10.3948 the staggering is still there unless you switch off Core-8 Affinity !!!

Any news yet?

3 years later, i downloaded the trial, but except for the cockpit modelling it looks and 'flies' like cardboard. So i guess one of those many many items unfinished in DCS. No buy for me alas.

Hi, just bought the TM AVA base for my warthog set. The old Hotas Warthog plate fits the new AVA. Size seems the same Just installed the drivers; a huge improvement with axis behavior, some joystick buttons need reloading and axis sensitivity to be reduced. Not really cheap, but IMO worth it. Curious if anyone changed the default hardware CAMs and springs, and why. Heavy seems fitted and working fine ...

well, i just set it up with process lasso, as above, seems it works nicely with Core 8 off-on and DCS on-off. some one said it has to do with 12th gen i9 processors only.
-
Maybe you are right, the whole DCS is quit a complex beast to keep under control after all.
-
Well, that maybe, but it already puts me off buying more modules especially when expensive or as pre-release .... sorry for all the hard work done by the developers. Normandy as example: i bought Channel and Normandy, then 2.0, it works sort off, but it never feels it's been looked at that much for bugs, map fixes etc. Let alone for still missing historic essentials.

Generally i like DCS. Bought it not as much for the current jets, but for WW2 and helicopters. So far IMO WW2 seems quite unfinished, that's for planes and vehicles. Helicopters like the Huey is for me still a battle to get the controllers working under my control. Every time i start DCS i end it far too soon being frustrated about something. I usually then start IL2 Great Battles (expensive too) or Rise of Flight, and get more fun out of it, either with skinning, mission editor or game play. I can understand why it's tough to get this seemingly quite complicated game 'right'. But for now i feel that in regards of rewarding play time i did not get that much pleasure out of it money wise. Especially when you buy an expensive module that seemingly never gets finished for renown bugs. ------------------------------------------- Last summer i tried the last 2 tombraider games, and got far more gaming time pleasure out in regards of spent money .... each cost about 15 bucks on Steam, and you will need a general game controller.
