I find this system much simpler than entering coordinates in the more common INS.
Flying over a bridge (waypoint) and reset nav is fun. Have something to do in a boring flight without much brain burning.
Very impressed that you take time to follow up this thread Charly.
You must busy with new manuals at this moment.
It take literally seconds to activate a route now.
Done several nav flights today. Next will be correcting drift and designate moving targets.
And finally drop some iron on target in near future.

THANK YOU ALL!!
AJS Viggen side panels are blurry and not readable in 1.5 when zoomed in. All other instruments are crisp and fine.
Have tried all different cockpit res with no result.
There are no issues with panels in 2.2.
Is it possible to copy data from 2.2 and paste it in 1.5?
If possible where to find data needed to solve this problem?
THANKS!
:pilotfly:
I have made a few waypoints in Mission Editor.
Inserted the cassette prior to startup - and tried several settings with no luck.
The indicator reads LS and B1, but there is no heading or distance displayed to B1
According to Chuck awesome manual chapter 13 tutorial. You should add coordinates manually using F10 map.
Seems awkward. Must be a shorter procedure?
:joystick:
Replay worked fine during my first flights.
Fresh from the box - with no adjustments.
Now it is heavily bugged.
Tried to reset my joystick axis back original (No curve)
Renamed and build new config files.
But replay is still bugged.
Where is the culprit hidden?
:helpsmilie:
All instruments are crisp.
But unable to read text on side panels when zoomed in.
OK in World 2.5 (Running both cockpit res 1024)
Is it stuff I can copy and replace from 2.5 to 1.5?
Thanks!
:helpsmilie:
All other aircraft I purchased I fly on both maps.
No way I can fly Viggen it in Caucasus.
Too bad since primary role is ship attacks.
Doubt I would bought it.
There are no tutorials in Nevada - put Viggen on runway in Mission Editor to fly.
Very limited before I dig into the manuals...
Agree.
Nevada runs now great on my ancient PC.
Not even the single old micro stutter shows up when loading new terrain.
Even the Spitfire runs fine - despite the prop heavy graphic.
And best of all - the all important replay works now.
The most significant upgrade for me - 2.2
Thanks!
Watching videos I have seen a few strange procedures.
Correct procedure:
1. Apply air pressure. There is no starter unit. Just blowing air directly at the turbine. (No time limit)
2. Press start button. This is really just ignition ON. In a silent aircraft you should hear the sparks (Not simulated)
3. Open throttle for fuel.
Doing this in wrong sequence (fuel first - then ignition) will certainly give a canon bang and a hot start.
Working on F5-A myself. A typical error was to forget battery ON.
Waiting for light up - start to scan cockpit -- oopss - battery switch OFF. A quick reaction was to turn battery on. With engine full of fuel - this ended up with a loud canon bang.
Correct procedure to fix this: is to cut fuel - keep the engine turning a minute to blow out fuel. Then battery ON.
Wing Commander Rolf Arne Berg special paint scheme. RAF was not happy with it, but accepted it.
Video from an airshow this summer.
Added radio comments from first arrival in Norway 1945 is a nice touch.
Enjoy!
Edit:
Want to add that an old colleague (dead now) mechanic told me that the Norwegian Squadron was deployed to France early summer 1944-
- That they had to abandon the airstrip due to misfired V1 rockets heading for London. They usually crashed in this area
Sorry -
Did not know you are playing Combined Arms.
Of course you want decent ground units.
BTW.
You should really check out Combat Mission: Normandy (Battlefront).
A serious combat sim you will certainly enjoy.
This a flight simulator.
Pre alpha stage.
Making soldiers at all, is wrong priority of manpower.
This is polishing a car while welding the body.
When the backlog is done, and the bug reports has been silent for a week, then do the finish touch.
