This ATC-console is mod is fantastic :D. Something which came to my attention is when one selects a differnt radar range scale from an airfield, one gets to see pretty much the whole map with all aircraft that are flying at that moment. My request: 1. in some future version, the ATC can only 'see' as far as the range is of an airfield radar -- use this as an selectable option. Perhapos GGTharos have already asked this feature? 2. Please keep the ATC/AWACS console as close to reality as possible. Technically are you developing this app in Visual C++? lomac_awacs_APP 08.zip

In lo-mac the Su-25T carries Vikhr on pylon 4 but on the 4th picture the Su-39 carries them on pylon 3 next to what seems like a Kh-29T. Isnt the pylon config in lo-mac wrong then? Can Vikhrs be carried on a total of 4 underwing pylons?

I didnt have training on the Zu-23-2's myself neither do i know any exact technical details about the type of ammo which was used (in the training). If my memory serves me right the particular event was in Jun-1990. The guns fired had a sequence of 5 rounds: 3 rounds was HE fragmaentation, then 1 AP, followed by a red HE tracer. Perhaps there were about 5 guns operating in the battery, positioned into a star-like formation. When the evening firing occured i could remember seeing some red/orange tracers inbetween. However someone in this forum probably have had actual handson training/experience on ZU-23-2's?

The ZU-23-2 does fire tracers. I sat 7 meters away from a battery of ZU-23-2's firing, way back in Jun-1990 in South Africa. Erm, yes i am that old :P.

THANX. problem solved. My registry was incorrect, probably becos of 1.02 --> 1.1 upgrade. Bow all is fine, this tool is GREAT! :)

No joy. It still produces the same error :(. Could you tell me where must lo-mac be installed? Where do your proggy try to find lo-mac? Do you read the lo-mac installation directory from the registry?

I cant get it working, lotatcsrv.exe starts up then 2 options are present: "Fly.." and "Exit". LoTATC.exe on the other hand does start but cant connect ot anything. I have done the following: 1. Ran the setup.exe program for LoTATC, installing in a subdirectory of my lo-mac. 2. Then copied the export.lua from the lotatcsrv-installation directory to my lo-mac 1.1 config\network. 3. Klik on lotatcsrv.exe produces an error: "Can't find your lockon folder!!!". I ran fileprobe (http://www.sysinternals.com) which revealed LoTATC.exe tries to access a file "hnetcfg.dll" which it can not find. Where have i done something wrong...? :(

Yes, the russian schlem was a copy of the SAAF HMD. The SAAF now uses the Darter-R and Darter-T developed by Kentron in South Africa (http://www.kentron.co.za). The SAAF Mirage F1's have been retired from active service. The first of the new SAAF Gripen' are on the final assembly line end, set for delivery this year :) :). I would LOVE to see a Mirage F1 in lo-mac though. It's quite a bird of the same era as the MiG-29. Many airforces around the world still uses Mirage F1's so it would be really great to have the Mirage F1 in lo-mac. It has air-to-air refuel capabilities too.

The South African Airforce Mirage F1's operated extensivley in the A-G role during the 1980's in Angola :roll: . They could carry laser guided ordanance. I saw once a videoclip of a SAAF mirages dropping laserguided ordanance with external lasing. A few years later i saw pictures of SAAF mirages carrying Paveways and R-73 missiles. See attached picture: SAAF Mirage F1 refitted with a Klimov SMR-95 engine.

When attacking a convoy I slow down my speed to about 290km/u, then launch Vikhrs with 4 seconds intervals. That is good for 3 or 4 kills before the laser is overheated. If u have Kh-29T's then one can destroy 6 or 7 groundunits which are in close proximity in a single pass.

In a network game, when restarting i am unable to start the engines of the SU-25T. Is it a bug, or normal. I havent checked if i flood the engines with throttle yet.

I have always wondred how accurate the lo-mac map is, in relation to the real world. Since i am unable to go anywhere near the kaukasus or Krim there is no way to tell. Or is it? The site http://www.map24.nl is excellent, all of the crimea is available as well as the kaukasus and to the sout in Turkey as well. Its truly great to see the level of detail incorporated into lo-mac :) :). On the website http://www.map24.nl one can enter a town name "Saky" then select the country Ukraine from the list. Tadaaaaa.. one gets Saki in the krim on your screen, with bridges, roads upto streetlevel! Thanks ED for giving us a reliable gaming environment.

Yep, this is hat happens.. they jettission their bombs, sometimes even the missiles and then circle around trying to do a gunzo attack which they never do. Only circling, pop flares, then go landing. And get shotd down then. Hope that in some follow-on to lo-mac that ED will put the AI on the todo-list as well.

We all know that the in lo-mac isn't as smart as we want it to be. TO me as a dedicated lover of ground attacks the AI behaviour is really frustrating, to say the least. Has it come to anyone's attention but me, that sending AI's jesttion their bombs and external stores when under threat. In an example i send a Su-17M4 on SEAD, it's got Kh-25ML missiles and iron/clusterbombs. After launching the Kh-25ML's the AI will just jettision the remaining stores, then continuing to circle/fly around the targetarea dispensing chaff and flare. It continues this stupid behaviour until it runs out of fuel. Then trys to land at the airbase where it was suppsed to eliminate airdefences. It gets shot down, what else? Why would i want to attack airdefenses using bombs? Because that happened in RL in the 1980's during the Angola-conflict, by the South African Airforce and cuban airforce. The Mirage-F1CZ's from the SAAF was forced to go head-to-head using only iron bombs Mk-82, Mk-84's against SA-6 Kub, Strela-10 and ZSU-23-4 Shilka batteries. Unlike in RL the SAAF couldnt bail out like the lo-ac AI's does. What is a good strategy for sending AI's in lo-mac to SEAD when their missiles are exausted??

Does anyone know the max effective range of a MLRS, M-109, Smerch and/or artillarys units? Could you please specify that in a table laout? It seems that a MLRS has a range of about 15km while artillary unit M-109 has a 20km range which is much lower than the G6 gun developed in South Africa http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/g6.htm Anu more info about max ranges in lo-mac whill be welcomed.

WOW, incredibly nice!! ED was very thoughtful to have released patches this week for 1.1, maybe they could unofficialy realease a dedicated server realy soon?? In the meanwhile this proggy serrves the needs of game hosters adequetly.

I want to rearm some defense systems. Only the SA-8 Osa Gecko have an integral rearm supply vehicle. Which vehicle can be used to re-arm a Strela-1, Strela-10, Tor, Tunguska? Re-arming of MLRS will also be quite handy.

Hi! I want to start flying the lo-mac 1.1. campaigns but to my great annoyance, all campaigns have the difficulty settings to EASY. I want to play with realistic flight, no labels. Adding to the grief is that the settings can NOT be changed and no possibility to unlock the missions, so as to change the difficulty settings!! I know in <=1.02 the password was eagle.. Now the menu for unlocking is totally disabled. Can any1 help me to unlock the 1.1 campaigns or FORCE a default difficulty throughout the game in all missions, regardless of the settings inside the mission?

I have both the download and the russian language CD-version. In the CD-version after installation all texts in the game changes to questionmarks such as a Kh-29L missile is shown as "??-29?" which is probably coz my WindowsXP is dutch. Apart from that all is fine. I have replaced the texts in FUI\RussianVersion\userinterface.cfg with the userinterface.cfg from EnglishVersion so now at least some text are legible though. It seems that inside the game executable lockon.exe are hardcoded text which can not be changed. Pity, but oke, thats acceptable. BTW my sis-in-law is russian she bought lomac 1.1 for me in Sank Petersburg a few weeks ago :).

Sorry, false alarm. After i have removed CD2 and then put the CD1 into my CD-rom drive and now it starts without starforce asking a serial :).

hi! I bought, installed the download version of lo-mac 1.1 from the lockon.ru website. Yesterday a friend from russia gave me a lo-mac 1.1 russian CD. I removed the 1.1 downloadversion, then installed the russian language 1.1 from CD but starforce shows itself in an unpleasant way. Problem: When tarting lo-mac, starforce asks me for a CD-key. Since there is no CD-key in the jewl case, the CD-key generated on the lockon.ru website is not accepted by starforce. This is illogical, how can the CD-version ask for a key, when there is no "ABCD-12A4-XYT5" (GUID)- style written in the CD jewel case? grrr, what can i do to install the russian language version of lo-mac?
