  1. UPDATE: I have gladly received the code from dreyou. SPAZIBA!! :) You can get it from my website at http://pappavis.netwerke.biz/spelen/lomac/download or try http://www.lomacfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=138&lid=269&ttitle=lo-mac_export_multiplayer#dldetails.
  2. Hi peeps. On the website http://lockon.but.ru you can in realtime see all types of informations regarding AWACS-like functionality for lo-mac 1.1. I have had contact with the developer of the scripts. Her is reply to me. groet, Michiel ----------------------- I can give my code to anybody who want to dig into my raw source :-). BUT: 1. Code is not complete and finished at this moment 2. Code witten for my specific environment, i.e. - this little project divide into 3 part: a) simple export.lua which only push data to collect server; b) perl daemon which collect and store raw information from export.lua and mp_log into database (working on different computer) c) php web site (php+xml+xsl) which get data from database and calculate/dispalay map and stats. I can give you any part of my code, but bit later (need some time for polish and testing). With best regards Andrey Gordeev aka Dreyou.
  3. Isnt it somehow, if at all possible to create some programmers API interface or release info about the binary format, so as to allow community hackers to create new terrain? I know its not easy but ED could extend the lifetime of Lo-mac much more if it can be moddable.. for example: Operation Flashpoint is >=4 years old it still has a huge modding community -- thanx to its scriptinglanguage and that the dev's released an inhouse tool to the community. Now every1 with some common sense can create a vehicle, terrain etc. There are some talented "indians" amongst the lo-mac community who certainly would be extending the lo-mac. Yep, commerical interests, copyright etc etc all come into play :(.
  4. How about trying to get your MiG-29K mod to work in 1.1? :) The MiG-29K is in MEinit.xml but one can nowhere select it for a mission in the mission editor In the 1.1 demo the Su-30 can use TV-guided missiles so the MiG-29K should be able to use that too -- which was not (really) possible in the mod which you made for 1.02. Gonna try the Su-39 now.
  5. For the Su-39 I have changed humancockpit="no" to humancockpit="yes", then made a tryout mission. I am not in the cokpit. Are there some files ".cmd"'s or others missing for the Su-39 to make it flyable?
  6. I saw on a russian lo-mac site (butt.ru?) that in multiplayer the built-in map with planes being shown on their actual positions on the map in real-time. Thats truely fantastic. A great feature for a AWACS-like thing for lo-mac. It seems that lo-mac 1.1 can now export the coordinates of aircraft in the game. I know in the past a very long thread was going about an AWCS script and all the what-not about an AWACS. Have anyone tried this exporting yet??
  7. I have noticed both in the 1.1 demo and now in the released FC that one can loft-launch a AIM-120 AMRAAM to increase its maxmimum range. Today i have watched the Su-27 Radar/BVR training track. There was no mention in it about how to do lofting of R-27's or an R-77. To loft an AIM-102 i only point the nose of my F15 into a high positve pitch then launch the missile. I tried to loft launch a R-77 at a target but it went in a near-straight line to its target. After having launched a R-77 in HOJ-mode and changing the range-scale it did seem to loft. That was possibly the target was about 30km away and i had its range inputted at 45km. Regarding this, and HOJ in RF-planes. 1. What is the purpose of the range-scale (ctrl-+ / ctrl--) indicator when you're not in HOJ-mode? Its not told in the training track. 2. Can russian planes loft the R-27's?
  8. same here :) However i am still abit afraid, the manual starforce activation needs internet. Its unimaginable what if someone lives way out in the bushes or jungle without internet..??? It can happen.
  9. I have bought and downloaded lo-mac 1.1 with paypal, installed etc. All working fine. But i am sure that starforce will give me trouble sometime in future. Fortunatley my sis-in-law is return from Russia in 2 weeks to South Africa she will bring me 3 copies of lo-mac :). I wanna then try to install the russian language version and overwrite the language config files with those from the downloadversion. My best recommandation is to order lo-mac on CD-ROM this way you are elimenating starforce AND supporting further development of lo-mac :) :). Enough complaining, back to flying my new Su-25T baby :P.
  10. I just returned from work, and saw LM1.1 was ready. I cant wait... the mission editor is gonna me my new playground :). I have delayed a campaign for Merfizon airbase until after LM1.1 is released... YEEAHOOOOOO now i can make my campaign :)
  11. In future, ED could - hopefully would - include a true F-18 Hornet flyable. Something which we as community could do is to assist ED in gathering accurate information and specs so as to ensure an accurate experience. I am sure that many die-hard flightsim and lo-mac fans can provide consructive info regarding the technical details of implementing a official F-18 addon. Needless to say someone still would have to turn ideas into actual computer code. Among the lo-mac community (Russia, rest-of-the-world) surely should be a few talented, professional C++ developers with many years of hardcore programming + management experience. Sourcing such a developer or 2 from the lo-mac community to do freelance work (at nominal fee?) could spread the development load. And bring the product to market quicker or more effecient. The financial reward for such a developer could not be great consedering theat ED is in Russia, but, the prestige gained from working and contributing on a project as lo-mac would shine in a C.V. I am myself a C#/SQL-Server/Biztalk developer, count me out :P. C++ is totally gobblygook to me ;). These are all fine but the actual implementation of infrastructure to support offsite developers could be a mundane / tough task but the idea i think is feasible. A core professional inhouse salarised developer team in Moscow PLUS a few external freelancers could be the ticket to make lo-mac the greatest simulation product on the market, now and in the future.
  12. Probably the guy mainting the http://www.lockon.ru website has no affiliation or coordination with the releaseteam. It wont surprise me if we will be waiting another 3 months :(.
  13. The topic says all. Although my Firefox browser was just asked to accept a encryption certificate there is nothing to purchase yet :(. I would have to go to sleep and maybe at 9am central eueopan time there will be something???
  14. Let us be pleasantly surprised tomorrow but ofcoz its possible the release be delayed another 3 months :(.
  15. Yes, it's true. You could try it yourself, in MEinit.xml you must change the humancockpit="no" to humancockpit="yes".
  16. My :) girlfriend :) Vika originally comes from Volgograd :P, thats another way to learn russian. Why translate the cokpit, it spoils realism.
  17. ED should post a link to this mod on their site.
  18. hahahaha, let the sky burn :) ofcoz i am getting FC
  19. At €27 EUR it is not much. Even if we europeans and in the US pays 3 times more than the $7 the russians are paying, we supporting a good enterprise. The US/european contribution to lo-mac rewards ED to be able to make further development of lo-mac financially viable. I have not been able to get even close to flying any fighterplane. The €45 i payed in Dec-2003 was the closest to have brought me HOURS of pleasure, the closest to the Real Thing than i will ever get. Let us hope that ED uses our contributions to further develop lo-mac into a real hardcore combat flightsim. Exclusive of the monster hardware, harddisks and grafics cards :P, €27 EUR is a small price to pay for my hobby.
  20. Thanks to the great Merfizon airbase mod which Alfa and Swingkid have made, my imagination went wild :). I have conjured a scenario for a campaign, in which you can choose to fly either Red or Blue in all of the flyable aircraft. In fact, the idea is to create a template campaign, and then derive for that campaign a new campaign.. in which u can fly for example Su-25, or F15. Basically you will take the seat of a pilot flying specific missions in your role. Also i would like to extend this campaign into online play. STATUS now: * I have scripted a scenario for my campaign * NO actual missionediting has been done yet. OUTLINE: In short the story is that a breakaway faction in the russian Duma is unhappy with the current state of affairs(as of 2005) in Russia. They want to re-establish a sovjet state based on a Marxist-Stalinist ideology. It is a terrible intention.. Please note: this situation described is FICTION!!! The only purpose is to give some believe to the situation for my Merfizon-campaign. Crucial to this campaign is that the Merfizon airbase mod works and dont crash my or your lo-mac. Further testing is still required. REQUEST: * I have written the scenario in Dutch. Could someone please translate to English, or any other language? * Future -- playtesters. * Future -- translators for scenario texts inside the campaign. * Can a betatester confirm that the Merfizon airbase mod works in 1.1? * Dit the Mig-29A/C loos its groundattack capabilities in 1.1??? I hope that i have raisd some interest.
  21. Possibly uou are speaking about (a related) product called the (http://www.denel.co.za/Aerospace/MISSILES.asp) A-Darter which is developed in South Africa for use on the South African Airforce's Saab Gripen's, and subcontract for release on Gripens to other airforces?
  22. Re: English 1.02 and Russian FC 1.1 Fortunatley for me, my brother has a russian girlfriend, she will send FC to me :) :
  23. Operation Flashpoint (http://www.flashpoint1985.com) has the most comprehensive missoin editor unrivalled in ANY game anywhere.. hopefully lua can someday bring that level of scripting possibilities to lo-mac  The comments of both Cobra and Xfire is what we need in the missioneditor 8)
  24. Dearest ED devteam. Would it be possible to allow the copying of objects into the clipboard, so as to paste them from one mission into another? Also handy will be to copy from Windows applications clipoard into Lo-mac. I like to create populated airfields, with aircraft and helo's parked, and some flightroutes for transport planes (or even CAP). Doing this straneous repetitive action repetitive for a 12-missions campaign takes the fun from missionmaking. The idea is that one creates for example stationary SAM complexes in a part of the Krim controlled by a strong faction, and/or vechicles then select Edit --> Copy from a dropdown menu, in the next missions / stage of a campaign i want to Paste the objects into the new campaign stage. I hope you could implement this feature into the missioneditor. All of missionbuilding lo-mac fans will be grateful. My lo-mac downloads page is at http://www.netwerke.biz/pappavis/spelen/lomac.
