  1. Run it with the lower Ram mhz and see what speed you get your CPU up to by ramping up that FSB slowly, this will also increase your RAM mhz on the way.
  2. To check if its RAM you need to run a memory test utility like memtest86+ Even if you have memory problems, one of the solutions is to loosen the memory timings or change the DRAM frequency (different MObo BIOSs have different methods of doing this e.g. Clock Ratio). The problem here is that the increase in CPU speed (clock rate) along with the slower memory timings or freq can yield little or no performance gains. BTW 3.8-4.0Ghz is a typical overclock for your chip so, unless you are an overclocking enthusiast, I wouldn't worry about eeking out that last drop of performance.
  3. Yeh I've been wondering about his one also. ED ? Why no Diamond in HUD to denote position of TGP when in Air to Air mode please?
  4. Yep Friday the 18th
  5. When mission testing you will have to do this anyway. What SOPs would this be. I have never been a member of a Sqn, well not an online one anyway so would be interested to know. IRL the only SOP freq we ever had was a Sqn discrete Air to Air freq, all other preset freq's were home base, a common low-level frequency, some range freq's and that was about it if I remember rightly (its been a while).
  6. Don't know, MP comms is something thats been given some love and attention in beta6, so wait and see is all I can say.
  7. Why when quite simply you hit PREPARE MISSION, jump in the cockpit, preload all of the frequencies into ALL of the radios then exit. All of these preset freq's could be shown in the mission brief. Couldn't be simpler.
  8. According to Wags we should be able to preset the freq's when using PREPARE MISSION in the ME. I tried but on exit it kept crashing. Will wait and see if beta6 works.
  9. Check out AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System. Basically this kind of kit (CMWS) uses 6 Electro-Optic Missile Sensors to passively detect the presence of energy within a specific band of interest. Used also on the AH-1 Uk Apache HIDAS to good effect, even detects RPG launches apparently.
  10. Take that fisheye lens off your left eye and all will be well again :smilewink:
  11. Nah your wingman (Hawg31) shouldn't crash then, but if you are going to do some tight low-level valley flying then think about the formation you want him to be in otherwise he might just get himself into an unrecoverable climb and stall it in. AI do seem to wait until the very last moment before they take avoiding action. *** I have finished the 6 player MP version but have decided to wait until beta 6 is released before I post it up after testing. It has additional tasking/targets and also Air to Air refuelling and a FAC. ***
  12. :shocking: I'm leaving my helmet and skin well alone. Painted my aircraft though.
  13. A friend of mine had the same problem, the cure of which is as nomdeplume mentioned plus make sure and clear out all of your cookies also. Can understand your frustration when you consider that they could have sent either those affected or everyone an email mentioning this or a sticky in the announcements forum.
  14. Thanks. Here's a blank template if anyone wants to use it (WORD .doc). Btw the performance data on the Op Talisker mission card I took from the a10 -1 performance charts so they are accurate. MISSION DATA CARD.zip
  15. Yep, not a good idea to orbit near the enemy border. The F-15s on CAP head off to intercept but alas they don't always win the fight or lose the SU27s altogether which is great as it adds a random element to the mission. Whilst you can hear your AWACS its probably wise to make the occasional picture call also. Did you try asking for assistance from the F-15s on UHF F10(Other) ? If you get no responce by the way its because they're both shot down, in which case good luck hiding.
  16. OK mb. Don't quite know what to do as you seem to be the only one experiencing this problem. I will reupload the mission again (with some very minor changes), call it ver 1.21 if you wish. Hope that helps.
  17. What about a target script that allow you to say 1. Select UHF (downward mic press) = F menu displays (as normal) then .. 2. Downward select on same mic button to scroll down selections and Upward to scroll upwards, on arrival at desired selection in F menu 3. Press IN on mic select button. 4. Goto 2. I think in Target Script this is possible, getting late now so might check it out tomorrow.
  18. You might want to hold off as Beta 5 has a bunch of updates to encyclopedia including weapons etc that was missing.
  19. Really? Íf they are hydraulically actuated then surely it can't be that far off?
  20. Anyone else having problems with ver1.2 ? I've just downloaded it and checked it and it runs fine on my PC. Can I suggest you download it again. If it happens again, try running an ED mission then try mine again. Let me know how you get on.
  21. Not DCS specific function explanations or global variable list no. I've only just started playing with Lua in DCS after talking to Speed. Have a look at his Intervention Prevention .miz he has gone to a lot of trouble checking LOS on enemy radar through the use of Lua, not to mention his 'stare at the camera, while I F2 you and take yr picture' registration process. For just Lua there's plenty of Tutorials on the web.
  22. If you are using MISSION GOALS then you are correct, you can assign BLUE or RED for ONLINE scoring. This will of course only give you a total score for each coalition at the end of the mission. I do not however know if this is working in Beta4. I thought you might want individual scoring. i.e. A total score and a breakdown of who destroyed what. This is possible but requires quite a few lines of Lua code with each unit placed on the map referred to.
  23. Yep well happy here with MP support. Nice one ED.
