Here is a tip. Use the UAZ. Its driveable and you can drive it where you want and then switch to JTAC from the F10 Map. Not sure it works in MP though =(

Ive also had problems with the Predetor. If I select "start airbourn" I get an crash at mission loading. If I start it from the ramp or runway all is well. Ive posted about it on the AI thread.

dont worry it confuses me too. Buttons do diffrent things depending how long you hold them:lol::lol:. Im still looking for the button that makes the coffee machine go.

set up quick mission with Predetor and JTAC and it works perfectly. Hit 4 trucks and then asked for next task and JTAC when silent and no longer respoded. Will have to test some more as It maybe just me. He did give me tasks based soley on what the Predetor was seeing though as he was all the way back at the airfield where I took off from. I set up 2 sets of trucks, I kill the first set and Jtac stops tasking me. Not sure if its a bug or I forgot something but he says "Target Destroyed" and I hit "1 Request Task" on the radio options and get no response.

im pretty sure its staying with us. You can set any mission you create (or edit) to allow command of ground units. There is an option (i cant remeber where) in the editor. Ive only played around with it while its in Beta but when the full version comes out I will start making missions hehe

Now that there is the facility to switch maps from the editor im sure there will be more areas to come in the future maybe from the guys at ED or from mods. Im just guessing though I have no idea what there plans are but I would pay for map area of Nevada that included the Grand Canyon and was generaly huge. Im thinking of an area the size of the Caucus region but as desert. Would be awsome.

I think its the same error as I get in Vista if I try and start it if I dont run as admin. I didnt think Win7 needed to run as admin but maybe thats it. I have not used Win 7 yet so im not sure.

Im buying the boxed version when it comes even though I have the beta already mostly I like to have a box also. (Am I strange?). Anyway if anyone askes why I have 2 copies I will tell them my cat wanted to have a go! :megalol::megalol:

I get around 20FPS (little less in built up areas) with my old PC. It has a 2 Ghz (Yes 2!!) 3 core athlon 3G ram and a Nvidia 9500GT and its fine. I really really do need to upgrade but as it stands it works ok atm. Just a note with the Blackshark I get 35 to 40 FPS as its optimised and the A-10 is not. I say buy it as beta and learn the systems and wait until the proper release before you try the big battles. :megalol:

Yea the Lazor in NVG is awsome. I also like the lights on either side of the canopy that go up with it when its opened. Flying at night is really fun but I think the NVGs have just a little to much gain. However I posted on the Beta section and was told thats just how it is so I will have to get used to it :megalol::smilewink:

I also get a massive FPS drop in any mode other than the default CCD mode. I get no framerate drop what so ever when in CCD mode even switching from STANDBY to the ground mode (forgot what its called atm am at work) I get 20+fps in CCD and it drops to 10+fps in white hot etc. Not been tank hunting at night though so Im not sure.

There is an addon for the PMDG J41 in FSX that adds voice control but relating more to this thread it has a ground crew type set up. The downside is it runs as a video not an animation. Say you want to connect power you click the button for ground power and a window pops up showing the guy giving hand signals. Its far from ideal but maybe someday something similar could be created. Would be awsome to have some animated crew that respond to requests.

Track IR opens the sim (even FS9/FSX) up and makes it much more dynamic feeling. I was practicing with some enemy tanks, I wanted to see how much damage they could do to the A-10c so I ran circles round them at 150knots using track IR to keep them right in the middle of the screen!. After a week flying with it you will be so used to it you wont be able to fly without it. Losing headtracking to me would be like losing an arm or leg.

its a know issue. will be fix but in the meantime bind the fuction to your keyboard, I use Shift-A

I cant recomend it enough, Its worth every penny. I would not fly without it and ive only had it 2 weeks. Say you want to look at your MFDs closer to read them just move your head a bit and you are there.
