Thanks for quick response. I play SC version.

Hi Spike. I am having problem with mission #3. Tried it two times with the same result. When I reach the tankers and my pilot automatically reports over the radio our position the mission just stops. No messages, no warnings, the games goes straight to debriefing window. I have attached a log from debriefing but the track file is too big (12MB). mission3.log

When staying in the basket becomes easy for you try AAR in A-10 or F-16 :).

Thanks for the tip. I was about to give up on this campaign because fps in VR are unbearable in this mission. Hopefully disabling tacview will help. edit: Even without Tacview this mission is still unplayable. When all hell breaks loose around 9:15 fps drop well below 45. This game is not designed for epic battles unfortunately.

Some players do use controllers only. I think you can move throttle and joystick with controllers. I bet they don't do anything more than flying around and explore scenery. Imagine CASE I carrier landing in F14 with just controllers LOL. OP you need to turn on option "USE MOUSE" in the game settings (VR tab). When it's off the crosshair is fixed to the headset.

You can use Windows 10 without registering it. Some features like desktop wallpaper and other customization tools will be disabled but the system will work as normal.

Dates are still in wrong format. In first world countries it's DD-MM-YYYY.

You forgot about mission complexity and a plane you are in. Flying solo over Georgia in Su25 is not the same as flying online over Syria in MiG-21 with radar turned on.

Hi. The button 5 on my joystick (master mode button) stopped working. It does not work in games and Windows control panel. At the same time when I press any other button on the joystick it triggers button 5 and it remains ON in Windows controller test panel. I recorded a video that shows what is happening when I press the Gun Trigger button https://imgur.com/a/ZIBABTM. Button #1 lit up but also does button #5. When I release the Gun Trigger, button #1 indicator goes off but button #5 remains ON. The only way to clear button #5 indicator is to unplug joystick and close Windows controller test panel. This happens even after I disconnected one of the cables from the button #5. It makes me believe that button 5 itself is not the problem but something else. Do you have any suggestions how to fix it? I checked this joystick on another computer without any software and drivers from Thrustmaster (only generic Windows drivers) and behaviour was exactly the same. My PC runs on Windows 10 with all updates installed. The joystick has installed the latest firmware ver. 12 and the latest drivers.

Some Training and SP missions "broken" after recent update (?)
Marklar replied to Mezsh's topic in Training Missions
I fly Harrier exclusively in recent months and all missions work fine, including the ones I fixed. I am on 2.5.6 though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

If you don't spawn in the cockpit open the mission in Mission Editor, select your plane and check if SKILL is set to PLAYER. Even if it's set to PLAYER change it to something different and back again to PLAYER. Now save the mission and you will spawn in the cockpit. I fixed 2 missions yesterday using this method. You can edit all type of missions - quick, single and campaign. -
Back to the Rift CV1 after the Reverb With CV1 I can play in a complete darkness and still have a perfect tracking. I now know that it's not possible with headsets with inside-out tracking. I already returned my Reverb. I will wait for a headset that suits my requirements or buy Index. If it only had better resolution... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This is the problem. I have my PC in bedroom, I cannot fly with 4 ceiling lights turned on because Reverb cannot track properly. I tried with a small desk lamp but Reverb still struggles when I am turning around to check my 6. My IPD is 65mm, not far from native 63mm. I moved my attention to Index. With base stations tracking should be a lot better. Also adjustable lenses will help. The display resolution is lower but I learned already that other features are equally important. I've been using CV1 for 3 years and don't want to switch to a device that is worse in every aspect, except resolution.

I returned to CV1 after 3 days with Reverb. Could not stand poor tracking and small sweet spot. Have it already packed for return to HP.

You are limited by CPU, that's why you didn't see any improvement after GPU upgrade. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

He will be limited by his CPU. I have 2080 Ti + 6700k@4.5GHz and still cannot get stable 90fps, while GPU usage is about 50-60%.
-
I had completely different experience when upgraded my i5-2500k@4.2Ghz to i7-6700k@4.5GHz. I only checked fps in Il2 BoS where they jumped from 45-50 to 80+. Knowing that DCS is also CPU intensive I would expect a similar improvement. I am actually planning to upgrade my 6700k to 9700k because it's limiting my 2080ti in VR.

Maybe in your case but I've been flying Harrier exclusively recently and the flickering with HIGH water was there. At least in VR.

New changelog is out but this bug is not mentioned https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3760511&postcount=39 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

2080ti+VR and the same flickering. Fortunately switching water to MED solves the problem but it looks awful, especially when operating from a carrier.
-
Is Harrier fps heavy in VR, comparing to A-10C or F-18 for example? I have MiG 21 which is terribly optimised for VR, same as Spitfire.

45fps is not acceptable for me. I wander what settings would give you constant 90fps? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
