According to this test they don't work, but it was 2 months and several patches ago. Maybe they do work now?

I started experiencing these crashes when SteamVR was updated to 1.19xxx but with the latest beta 1.20.xxx all seems to be fine now. I had a few 1-2 hours sessions online without a single crash.

Not sure what you are trying to show here. His crosshair is fixed to HUD but maybe because he is not touching RDR cursor, it works the same way in DCS. I like how he swears after every, I guess unsuccessful, pass :). Interesting he always switches to A/A mode before he goes for another pass and switches back to A/G just before he is about to lock and shoot a Maverick.
-
Do you mean IRL or in DCS? I am pretty sure I managed to boresight it yesterday but will do more testing tonight.
-
Ok. I think I found a method to boresight MAV in BORE mode. I locked a target using WPN on MFD, clicked BSGT, undesignated and now HUD crosshair is aligned with crosshair on WPN page. I will need to do more testing tomorrow.
-
All the boresighting tutorials I've seen refer to PRE-planned mode and require a targeting pod. How do I do it without TGP? I only carry Mavs.
-
Both but you need to spawn hot on the ground and do rearming. If you spawn in the air already with Mavericks the crosshairs are aligned.
-
How is it fixed if I can move it with Radar Cursor? Also it does not matter whether it's fixed or not, it should point at the same location where Maverick is looking, so a pilot can use HUD to manoeuvre the plane and lock a target. At this moment it's not possible because they are not aligned. On my 1st picture you can see I am trying to lock a building but the Maverick is looking somewhere else.
-
It's not fixed, you can move it with Radar Cursor switch. You are probably talking about that small Boresight Cross in the upper section of the HUD. They are different crosshairs.
-
Does anybody know why Maverick's reticle is misaligned with HUD reticle cross when in BORESIGHT mode? On the screenshot below the HUD cross is pointing at the red roof building but Maverick is pointing at the road behind it. Click the picture to show it in a native 4K resolution. BORE mode On the other hand in VIS mode both Maverick and HUD crosshairs are perfectly aligned. Is BORE mode bugged or this is how it works IRL? VIS mode

So as I understand it only works in a cruise flight where Hind is perfectly trimmed?

SteamVR started crashing a few weeks ago. I tried both beta and stable versions of SteamVR and WMR for SteamVR but it keeps crashing. Any ideas?

Does anyone managed to get this working? The picture below is from Chuck's guide. I set all the switches as per instruction but this light is always off. The cursor on the map is moving when I fly but after several minutes of flying around it shows completely different location to where I actually am.

Start in the air when mavs are already bore-sighted and used them as before. I bet they will lock without a problem.

FLOLS overlay shows even if option unticked in settings
Marklar replied to Sharkku's topic in Bugs and Problems
Does this work for you? I just opened my FLOLS.lua but this setting is already set to "false". FLOLS still pops up when I am in the groove. -
PG Qual Supercarrier CASE II weather is incorrect
Marklar replied to eLgargantuan's topic in Missions and Campaigns
It's been like this since 2.7 dropped back in March. You can fix it in mission editor or wait who knows how long for an official fix. -
How do I know that stored INS align is possible?
Marklar replied to darkman222's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Thx. I found it myself when I jumped into the cockpit right after my last post. Don't know how I missed it before?! I've noticed there is also In Flight Alignment. Does it work the same way as IFA in Hornet, updates itself with GPS data? -

Marklar replied to darkman222's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
How do you use store heading in Viper? In Hornet there is OSB button but I didn't see such a thing in F-16. When I do align INS it always takes 7-8 minutes, I assume it's a full alignment. -
I will be happy when they finally fix the sling loading. Thankfully it's also broken in Hind so it should be on top of the list now. As for improvements to Hip, I only want to see troops in the cargo compartment. Working rescue winch would be also a nice addition but I doubt it will ever happen.
-
W11 is not even released yet. Why did you bring it to this discussion at all?
-
My last post was not directed at you. I just wanted to point out that sling loading is bugged in both Hip and Hind, so OP and others should not get frustrated when their cargo starts swinging like crazy (because its weight is zero) for no reason. This bug was introduced around December last year in both stable and openbeta. I was hoping ED will fix it with release of Hind but I was wrong.
-
As expected sling loading is bugged. You can lift the cargo but it has 0 weight. You lift 4,000kg pipes like a bog roll. It has zero impact on Hind performance. Do a simple test. Lift the heaviest cargo you can, go into hover and release the cargo. Hind won't move an inch. If you want to check how it should work try lifting cargo in Huey or download old DCS build from November last year and do it in Hip.
-
I don't think it's implemented yet. I guess it's broken, as in Hip.
