  3. Too much helium in your Trimix? ;)
  4. More power to your fingers Nicholas :) I have a tin of WD40 if they start to slow up... ;)
  5. Cobra you have been sitting in front of the monitor for too long that is an evil CAT not a cute little puppy :helpsmilie: :D
  6. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast. Nice video :)
  7. It's forbidden here too, but it still happens, people around here are used to un-expected loud noises, we have live fire artillery/tank ranges and a bomb/ground attack range too at about from 4km from here and another two at 8km and 12km. The Vulcan cannon on the F16 makes a nice noise, but it is a bit over shadowed when the A10s come to play :) Edit: Looking through my pics, it was the Solo Turk that did the high speed pass :)
  8. Not every week, but someone does it a few times a year, it fairly rattles the windows! Usually you hear them up high and then a fast descent ...and ... BOOM
  9. Just home, and going to sort through my pics tomorrow. weather this morning was terrible but it cleared up in the afternoon. We had to leave before the show finished to get the kline kinderen home before 7, we just made it! The F16 with the Greek lettering on the tail was pushing the envelope and almost gave us a sonic boom it was nice to see the double shock cones over the nose and the wings and it past us with a mighty CRACK, but not quite the normal sonic boom you hear here. Excellent picture every one, thanks for sharing them.
  10. Woot! hopefully my new GTX760 will be here by Tuesday and then I'll have a PC that can run DCS again and so be ready for DCS : Mig-21 :D
  11. Oh I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seeing the action close up, I live not too far from the P&R A so it is a short walk there and hop on the bus :) here is a Mi-24 from a few years ago at the Tiger Meet, sorry it's not a Mi-8 ;)
  12. <still off topic> I have 2 D200 bodies, that one has been sitting in a camera bag in the cellar for a few years now. I came from an Olympus OM2 via a Nikon F5 to the D200, a few of my older lenses require a screw drive to make them work and the D200 was the last digital SLR that has a screw drive on it. I got the second body as I want to pull the IR filter off the sensor to use the camera for astro photography. Sensor given a wipe with an oily rag now... </still off topic> I posted up a few pics in the Hawk forum as the Red Arrows have just done a display, they are now on the ground here for the night. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=119608&page=14 I stuck a few more pics up in photobucket too http://s149.photobucket.com/user/Alicatt_photos/slideshow/Airforce%20Days%202014
  13. Thanks, so proud of her she has done well :) My son was there today with his school and was speaking with his cousin. We got home in time to see 2 Dassault Mirages displaying at about 18:45ish and then a F16 doing a solo display. I look forward to seeing your photos :)
  14. Alas it is the sensor, I dug out my old D200 to use as my other camera was in use making a time-lapse of a house build across the road from my house. Now I'm back home from the ceremony I will be cleaning the sensor. I have not used that body in about 6 years. :)
  15. I hope the weather there is as good as it is here today, little wind and clear skies, sadly they are doing righthand circuits and landing on 23 so I don't get to see much. So far I have heard the C130 coming in at 08:30 and then caught sight of the Mig-29 doing part of it's routine, then the Bronco coming in from the west.
  16. You will have a great time I'm sure! Today the weather is great, clear skies and little wind. They are doing right-hand circuits and landing on 23 so they are all far from me today, so not many photo opportunities sadly. Was hoping to catch my nephew coming in, he was due to touch down at 08:30 in his C130, I could hear him in the distance but I couldn't see him, I'll also miss his departure at 13:30 as I won't be here. :( Ah well I have to go to Leuven shortly as my daughter graduates today, she has just got her Masters in Political Science :)
  17. Greetings from the flight path :) Some of todays arrivals Pics taken from my bedroom window :)
  18. I will be the harassed looking guy with the wife and 3 grand children ;) I will be missing Spotters day as I have to go to the graduation of my daughter at Leuven (KUL) Wow! that looks good, cant wait to read more about it.
  19. thanks, pity it was so misty here this morning
  20. I would rather be going to Duxford than to KB! Wish you all the best at Duxford :) I'm taking the family to the Belgian Airforce Days at Kline Brogel Airbase on Sunday, three great display teams will be there Patrouille de France, Frecce Tricolori and then closing the show with the Red Arrows. There were going to be some WW2 aircraft there but it is now down to just a C47 (BBMF DC3) and a Spitfire. http://www.belgianairforcedays.be/index.php/en/ They have been practicing this morning, turning the corner above my house:
  21. There is one regularly parked at Sanicole Airfield between Hechtel and Leopoldsburg here in Belgium, I see it a lot there. RAIT 1999:
  22. Can I draw your attention to this: From Pman's thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2122426&postcount=1
