    If you don't like that, don't use it...but do not dictate to others what we should use....I don't care about MP...if you don't want it in your MP game then don't allow it, but don't ruin it for others...I'm not asking for "Friggin Sharks with Laser beams on their heads" :)

    Yes, and while some say that the lasing option (using 65E) can be as accurate as the G with the F/C, they are overlooking that you cannot take out four targets without having to wait until impact of the first target before you lock up the second..In other words, you can't take out small groups of tanks with just one pass, even if you were using the ATFLIR...you need F&F missiles...I'm not even talking about F/C usage either

    How did you stray here...I haven't even used the FC yet (not even sure if it's working)...but if there's a mission that calls for me to put a MAV through a window in building, I'd like to be able to go to the F variant knowing that this missile can do it, not just lock onto tanks....

    Does that specifically mean that it can also lock onto targets of opportunity like small buildings as Wags demonstrated with Force Correlate? If so, fine... otherwise, not finding ANY evidence that the G variant was ever used by the USN, is not equivalent to saying that it was NEVER used and therefore must be dropped from the arsenal

    My question was NOT about how it performs against ships ..it was specifically how can I deploy it without "on the ground/air" guidance..."optimized for sea strikes" does not really imbue me with confidence that it can be a go to A2G weapon for independent strikes against targets of opportunity on LAND

    So we will ONLY have the E & F versions??? And that's it? Can we successfully use the IR F Mav against ground targets and not just ships? We gotta have a MAV that WE can launch against ground targets without the aid of a FAC..please tell me all this rant about historical correctness did not just remove a weapon for ground based targets or targets of opportunity using the Force Correlate
  13. Correct me here if I'm wrong but I thought the 3 min used to prepare the IR MAVs for launching is really cooling down the IR seekers on the MAVs,,,If that's correct, couldn't this switch facilitate that process quicker?

  20. This shows how either DDI can be used as SOI and it also shows the bug about the BLACK and WHITE TD box keeps reverting to White after I've selected Black, very annoying...hard to see the center crosshair for locking up targets when it's white against white background

That little "caret" can be positioned there at the beginning of the mission if you like...you don't have to wait for the "IR warm up" to finish...the caret merely provides an indication of which DDI is being used as the SOI (Sensor of Interest)...true, you do have to wait for warm up to finish before you can slew the TDC cursor, but you could have set either left or right DDI as the SOI and when the warm up is over, you will then be able to slew the cursor...the order of when you set the SOI doesn't matter

A lot of these aborts occur when the JTAC is using smoke to mark the location of the target, but the target is located very near to other targets and when you drop the ordinance, your margin of error (freefall bombs) has you killing one of the others in the close group...and I think that needs to be fixed...if there's a row of vehicles and JTAC says the target is 125m northwest of the smoke, how are you supposed to know which one in the row is JTAC talking about....ABORT message should not be given for any potential targets killed in a predetermined radius from the designator's intended target due to collateral damage
  23. If it calls immediately after pickel, then it means you either are about to destroy the wrong vehicle or you were not Cleared Hot
  24. White Hot and BLack Hot not working...all the switch does is change the reticle from white to black....it does not change heat sources from white to black or vice versa...don't know if this was brought up

I have no "Textures" folder inside the root directory of C:\Users\MyName\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta....now maybe it's different with the Release Version \DCS\ ...but that's what the error code is saying...perhaps you made a hard junction recently to redirect a textures folder and it pointing to the wrong location? THERE is, however, a Textures folder under the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar folder...So maybe yours is in the wrong location?
