  1. I can't stop the launch in DCS, but with my script you must do it as IRL - engines at 100% MIL, full wipeout. This is a test version which shows notices while you do it.
  2. Actually, maybe you can use COCKPIT PARAMETER EQUAL TO... ? It seems to work for me on frequencies with a decimal.
  3. Is there any way to avoid having to put each sound file to play into the .miz file? Like can they be somehow located in the Saved Games folder and read from there? This doesn't really work for me, I tried it many ways, but can't crack it - only if I do it from the ME and then the file gets included in the .miz file. trigger.action.radioTransmission("Sounds/Speech/ENG/Common/test.ogg", trigger.misc.getZone("CVN71_TIMEHACK").point, radio.modulation.AM, true, test_freq_radio, 20, "ZONE")
  4. On mission 1 you're escorting an AWACS into Nellis. I think on mission 2 you're a single aircraft who needs to join a pair of F-5's who will take you around the range, while you get feedback about how tight you keep the formation. Really nicely done, excellent for beginners.
  5. The launchbar down argument comes from the ME, but the rest is LUA. I'm not a fan of doing stuff from the ME if I can avoid it
  6. Thanks for the feedback! IRL the pilot and the Weight Board Operator communicate with hand signals (day) or flashlight (night). The pilot can only signal "higher", "lower" or OK. This is the reasoning behind the current implementation. After consulting with @Jackjack171, who did it IRL I will limit the max. deviation of the "proposed weight" to 2000 lbs, so it shouldn't take much to correct it. The aircraft's weight chit will be attached to the briefing.
  7. My version: Comments, suggestions, opinions are welcome
  8. It seems like there's a constant discrepancy between the ME calculated weight and the weight the aircraft displays. ME value taken at mission start, CHKLST taken 3 seconds into the mission. Mission Editor: 41050 lbs CHKLST page: 40503 lbs
  9. Persistent gradesheet/LSO logbook, check. I'll have a look if the go-around/bolter can be done, although I'm not sure if that's a realistic scenario. Will check.
  10. My F/A-18 campaign (in the PG) will include this feature too on top of many others. This feature is already done: the carrier will turn into the wind for the duration of the launch/recovery operations and if it's not possible to do so on its planned route it'll position itself accordingly to be able to stay on the desired course when the time arrives. It checks not only for land, but also other objects such as oil and gas fields at sea and plans the recovery track accordingly.
  11. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3302808/ This is an excellent campaign to learn that
  12. Haha, yea it'd be great if DCS allowed for all (or even some) of that Forget about CAT shot strength manipulation or cable breaks... Damage could be done I guess, but I don't think it'd be realistic - it's not like you'd lose wings in such case, it's very likely just structural damage, which can't be seen from the outside. But the idea is good, too bad it's not possible for a 3rd party...
  13. My campaign checks for the landing weight on the Hornet, calculated from different parameters and it will warn the player if he landed overweight. It also goes into the player's landing logbook. It's a start I hope, as the pilots know their weight when they start the approach and there's a NATOPS specified max landing weight for this reason I suppose. For the departure my idea was a popup message with what the pilot would see on the weight board, and he could respond through an F10 menu item: he'd need to select if their displayed weight is ok, lower or higher. I can't do it more graphically, can't influence the CAT shot quality with it, but it is something at least. Opinions, suggestions are welcome
  14. The only way I know of is giving it a task through the Mission Editor which defines which kind of aircraft/helo/surface objects should be called out. No distance, no coalition possibility here but it might help a bit.
  15. Read through the SuperCarrier manual, the Mission Editor part. You'll see that the spawn spot of an aircraft determines the CAT it will use. So if you have a blocked cat 1, you need to go to all sorts of troubles to make sure your aircraft don't spawn on places which taxi to cat1. You can give a "late activation" to the player's flight with 1-2 seconds late and that should put it to a different starting position, meaning the sixpac 1-2 are populated with your AI aircraft. RTFM
  16. Good call! It's all in there in the DCS folder, I'll start editing myself Thanks for the hint!
  17. If it's possible, I'd love to see a bit more variation in the AI marine traffic, so I'd like to ask for a similar sized tanker as the recently introduced "Handy Wind" bulk carrier ship, which is already a great improvement! If there could be at least a flag or even a skin selection, it'd even give more immersion with hopefully not that much work. Thank you!
  18. Thanks for the feedback! It'll be the part of the campaign initially, the rest we'll see.
  19. DCS generated personal trap log example (with some treacherous entries) based on NATOPS. System time is the same because it's generated with a test suite, it should normally reflect the actual system time. It's in Excel CSV, easy to open and manage. Any feedback is welcome: like it, don't like it, anything missing...
  20. Nope, it never crossed my mind to be honest. For me it was just launching a mission from the ME, nothing tricky.
  21. I hope with some "smart skinning" we can make an A-6 look somewhat like an EA-6 until the "real" model arrives
  22. Intel I9-9900k, Geforce 3090, 64Gb, Samsung 980 Pro. No AMD here, fresh W10 install (about 1 week ago), latest drivers on everything(Nvidia 461.40), SteamVR Beta, DCS OpenBeta (Steam). No overclocking. This was all produced on the monitor, I haven't checked it in VR.
  23. Contrails seem to be a bit off since the last update every once in a while, independent from the aircraft type. The contrail seems to spread almost perpendicularly to the flight direction. Track file is larger than 5 Mb, so it won't allow me to attach it.
  24. I'm working on a single player campaign (F/A-18) which will have this and it'll also be including the LSO debrief, squadron greenie board and a lot more A few screenshots are here, but it's still far from completion.

    Cyclic ops

huh, okay, that was my only idea but to be honest I haven't tried it... it's a pain, maybe we should report it as an issue hoping they'd fix it. The problem is that it behaves as a Helipad, due to the landing platform on top of it. Nevertheless I personally don't see the reason why there needs to be an ATC menu for a helipad... Thanks for the info, at least now I know too...
