It really looks to me like there are actually some flyable Choppers in this one... Is that true or am I imaginating things again...:smilewink: ~S~ Blaze -
F/A-18 in the F-16 sim.. would safely say that it's spam without a doubt.. There's just to much baggage so to speak that comes with the Hornet... I'm sure that well see the F-16 with an advanced flight model first... I really like this idea as I'm presently flying Falcon 4 AF and I really like the way that the avionics are represented.. It would be interesting to see how ED plans to simulate this if at all.. I mean the graphics here are way more advanced then in Falcon.. So if they do decide to do this, I for one would without a doubt buy it.. Now if we can just get the new Mission Builder along with the F-16 that would be awesome.. ~S~ Blaze

Vista Upgrade Nightmare
VMFA-Blaze replied to VMFA-Blaze's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm only planning on upgrading my older system for now.. So I'm not that concerned with losing XP there.. I just want to see what Vista is all about, although I'm almost positive that it s**k's .. As far as my new System it's going to be a long time before I decide to upgrade this one.... But do you mean that, If say for example I need to do a reformat on my new System I wont be able to install XP even though I have the XP disk ???? If this is the case then I'm not sure how to proceed.. Maybe I'll just get the Vista 64.. and purchase Premium at a later date for the 32 bit system... Lets see what happens as the ball is now in MS's court... ~S~ Blaze -
Can MSFS models be ported to LO?
VMFA-Blaze replied to Colt40Five's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Yeah I know but the idea is right... This is my favorite bomber.. It would be a blast to be able to fly this in some Future addon from ED... The Alpha controls aren't even 3D and lack a lot of texture for 2D .. ~S~ Blaze -
Well this is what I sort of expected from MS after reading a lot of the pre data that was floating around the web.. I started out with the idea of an XP build with the free upgrade to Vista after the release... But I don't think that this idea was fully supported By MS even though it was advertised.. To actually Upgrade XP you had to search the complete MS website just to be able to find the online order blank.. And this really took a while as I think they purposely buried the page ... So after several hours of looking I finally found it. I had to go into a Techy forum, which provided a link... So at this point I've spent over 300.00 USD for two operating systems and still don't have the Vista upgrade one 32 bit and one 64 Bit.. Now for the last 2 or 3 days on the Phone with MS and I've been sent to a lot off different offices, I've finally been able to talk to a few live people that are aware of the offer... And believe me they're not at all happy when you begin to ask them for information concerning this offer... Well it appears that besides notifying them by email to order the upgrade you also have to send them a copy of the receipt from where you purchased the software and you also need to send them a copy of the contract and COA bar codes that was included with the packaging.. Wheeeew !!!! And then you'll have to wait for the upgrade disks to come in the mail which apparently takes another 3 to 4 weeks for delivery... And there's been a lot of unhappy employees that are giving out phone numbers for other companies that are supposedly affiliated with MS, and are contracted to sending out the Vista upgrade... And on at least 2 occasions I was asked by the affiliated company how I got there telephone number... So this should be so easy but its turned out to be very hard indeed.... So I'm going to to install the 64 bit only my business computer and I'm going to wait for awhile longer and then I think I'll install the Ultimate version on my gameing computer.... ~S~ Blaze

Well yes.. Ideally an additional map which would include Southwestern Turkey and a large portion of the Eastern reaches of the Mediterranean will be needed.. This will allow us to bring the fleet into that portion of the world, which would lend itself to a very realistic Naval simulation... Not forgetting to give us a flyable A/F-18 along with its Mig counterpart.. And give us all of the deleted ships that we had in Flanker 2.5... Along with fixing the representation and accurate launching capabilities of all Naval ships ... And last but not least optimisation of the new engine allowing us to be able to use larger numbers of ships and aircraft, enabling us to to model a more realistic operation...:megalol: But I don't think that we'll ever see this, I honestly think that an operation of this magnitude is beyond the resources that ED has available at present unfortunately... ~S~ Blaze

The naval aspect of this sim is really not that good ... There are some actual problems with it... I tried it out when Lock On was first released.. It's been so long ago, that I actually forget what I was trying simulate.... I just remember that it didn't work the way it was supposed to... So I shelved the mission that I was creating at that time, and haven't gone back since... I was really hoping that ED would get around to revamping the Naval aspect of this sim.. I had heard here on the forums that if they do intend to do this it will be in about 2 years... But since then it is most likely being pushed back more and more as other priorities surface.... ~S~ Blaze

Westfield Shopping Center 'Eh ... well what do you know... They own a very large mall here in the NY Metro Area , And guess what they're rebuilding that place as well.... The politicians and the community didn't want them to do it, but they paid someone off and started building anyway.... I don't actually go there that much any more, I prefer shopping at 34th st. or 5th or Madison Ave.'s in Manhattan.... ~S~ Blaze

I was having issues with the screen jittering when I looked down ... And this was going on for a really long time... I tried setting dead zones and what ever, but nothing seemed to work.... But then one of the guy's suggested that I should set the light filters down and this seems to have fixed the issue ... I think its best to have your light source placed behind the system.. That way the detectors will only see reflections from TIR reflectors or LED's .. ~S~ Blaze -

OT: USS John F Kennedy decomissioned
VMFA-Blaze replied to S77th-konkussion's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Actually my first post on this thread was supposed to be about the original carrier the USS Enterprise that had been docked in a slip on the Hudson River on the West Side of Manhattan for about 20 years.. It was a floating museum that was open to the public... It had various aircraft strapped to the flight deck and you could sit in the cockpits of some of them... About 2 months ago the ship was moved to dry dock to undergo extensive restoration... But it took thousands of dollars just to get it out of the slip as it sunk into the mud after all of that time.... I happened to be over on the West Side of town on the day that it was finally pulled out and caught the view of the tugs moving the ship down the Hudson heading for dry dock... It looked Majestic to say the least even in its present state... ~S~ Blaze -
I don't think that BS has this feature... Obviously I'm not a Chopper efficenato.. But still Bro do you like this one??? ~S~ Blaze
