Why would a 1.66GHZ be killing him... This is a Centrino so its rated differently then say a desktop.. Most likely a clean install of Lock On and tweaking of the graphic settings starting with the lowest settings and working upwards, should solve the problem.... ~S~ Blaze

Fu : did you try the VPAF Mod that allows you to actually fly and shoot missisles.. The cockpit reminds me of a SU-25 plain vanillia.. ~S~ Blaze

That's what IL2 did to cover up the large open spaces by rendering those high flying clouds.. I does really add interest to the sky and I like it.... I know that IL2 the stratus and sirius don't move but even if they don't they still look cool... I want it!!!! :lol: ~S~ Blaze

fretware I see that your haveing the texture issue as well.. Whaen I first installed my new GPU I saw this and wasn't too happy after spending allmost 500.00 for a new gforce 8800 gts.. but I've gotten used to it... I dont see it allof the time and its not as pronounce but theres really nothing that I can do about it.. Also if you don't want to use beta drivers go right to nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp .. I'm hopeing that this issue will be fixed with newer drivers.. Anyway the new ATI will be out soon... ~S~ Blaze

Yes higher settings will help with A/C recognition as well.. But you have to experiment with your set up to see just what's the best settings are... ~S~ Blaze

This Mod is without a doubt very well done... I've been thinking about installing it myself, and after seeing those thumbnails I've almost decided to go ahead... But after reading some of these posts I can see that unfortunately there has been trouble surrounding this mod.. So I'm sorry that Walmis has lost the nearly completed mod.. And my question is whats actually missing if anything and just how difficult is it to install??? And last but not least if for any reason I do install it and find that there's just too much missing here... What do I do next.. ~S~ Blaze

Its not that hard if you know what your doing.... I think the best way is to wire together a common terminal on both pots.. So they'll operate as one when turned.. If you have a schematic or diagram for the pots it would be easier to figure out... As far as setting it up with Lock On's software I don't think that thats possible... ~S~ Blaze

I don't think that you can actually use DX10 in many applications anyway.... And from what I understand it's not backwards compatible... You get DX10 with the Premium upgrade I guess, but its like about 250.00 USD from the online shops.. So I wounder if anyone has actually tried this out yet... It would be interesting to hear what the final verdict is.. Personally I'm not ready to try this out either.... ~S~ Blaze

I have never seen red lines, arrows and numbers.. I really didn't look that closely at the screenie, I actually thought that those were lift lines... Well since they're not I guess the issue must be the card is burning out... I'd be interested to see what the outcome is after changing the settings... ~S~ Blaze

And of course not to leave you out Swing Kid I remember how hard you were working on Star Wars as well.... And from the latest scuttlebutt ED is working on their own as well... Or have they actually combined there interest with the present on going work of the two above mentioned gentlemen ????? I can recall a few years ago that someone had been developing a Voice Activated Command System for MFS 2004.. I was wondering if any can recall this... And if so is it possible to get it to function in Lock ON .... ~S~ Blaze

I looks like your seeing long triangular shaped patches that appear to be a different shades ?? If this what you mean, then yes I have this issue as well... But I don't really see it all of time.. and I think that its a driver issue... When I first installed my 6800 Ultra I had an issue with the clouds not rendering properly.. Well this actually went away after installing newer drivers... But the way things stand for me at present I now have the latest drivers available...and the only way that I'll be able to install newer drivers is by installing Vista... I'm not planning on doing this as of yet... And although there are beta drivers out on 3D Guru I really haven't decided to take that risk yet either.... I'd hate to screw everything up now after all of the hard work get everything running stable.... And there's the other alternative of over clocking my CPU... I might just do this next.... ~S~ Blaze

I always use the rudder pedals with what ever I'm flying at the time .... It certainly gives you more control of your A/C.. It helps in minor adjustmments of your course, and it gives you that added edge that you need in a turning dogfight .. In A2G its indispensable in keeping the piper on target .... It also helps in holding the lock while dodging incoming missiles.. And of course rudder adjustment of the nose is clearly an advantage when your in a "guns all fight" .... ~S~ Blaze

I just recently reinstalled Silent Hunter III and actually found out that Game Shadow is the same company as Star Force .. So I'm not sure if they have or not .. But I agree it does give some problems ... I 'm actually one of the lucky one's and haven't really had that many issues.. On my last reformat I did start to have some issues but I have some of the key's stored on the hard drive of one of my other computers.. So it was just a matter of moving the correct files to the right place to open Lock On.... As far as ED removing Star Force, I don't think that this will happen for a while... And the reasoning behind this??? As far ar I know the game hasn't been Kracked.... ~S~ Blaze
