  1. Joe so if I understand your post correctly you are planning on developing 2 separate sticks.. And you're going to set them up exactly the way it would be in R/L..... And from what I see you're beginning to get the needed information to make this become a reality... I really hope that you go ahead with Cougar add on.. I've spent close to 700.00 USD to get it to where it's at now... I've been on the Cougar Forums speaking with the mod builders in hopes that they would consider something along the these lines.... So now there finally seems to be something positive on the horizon.... But even if you decide to forgo the Cougar mod. I would certainly buy the stick even if its a stand alone.... ~S~ Blaze
  2. The one's that I found there really helped with my game immersion are the camera angle adjustments, and the canopy reflection mod... I had these set a while ago but with the 2 new computers under my belt since they first appeared in the forums I completely forgot about them.. I've just installed them in my new system, which I'm presently running a Geforce 8800 OC GTS and TIR4 pro.. Well needless to say this really does look cool... You get a very realistic projection of what it might be like in the cockpit of one of these birds..... And the other thing that I found was the stand alone gas tank Mod's for the Mig 27 and the F-15.... I did have Walmis's F-15 skin installed but I couldn't get it to load properly and was missing a lot of texture.. So I uninstalled it and I'm just using the tank mod which works well for me.... ~S~ Blaze
  3. Thanks Fudd... Now that's a true blue winggy for ya'... I'm finally ready to take the plunge..... Thanks M8... ~S~ Blaze
  4. I was just looking at Teka Tekas sight.... I don't know how I missed this one ... There are all the best mods right there.. And I think that they're all Modman compatible ... Thanks Teka Teka, nice work bro... http://bvr.jpn.org/lockon/index_e.html ~S~ Blaze
  5. Hi, well I'm still not having to much success overclocking this cpu.. I know that the Commando MB.. will allow me to OC from the desk top, but I tried it out and got this zone alarm stating that the voltages were to high for my memory .. So does any one have a clear understanding of this configuration and can they help me through some of the steps.... ~S~ Blaze
  6. the down load from file front was easy as always.. Nice quality footage .... And a good choice for the sound track.. ~S~ Blaze
  7. Yeah, I did notice that... the man has a talent for describing the Flanker flight model very accurately... And he's flown a lot of other Russian combat aircraft, what a great job he's got.... ~S~ Blaze
  8. Oh sorry Joe... I've seen it done once or twice in the 4 years of owning my Cougar, and loitering in the Forums... But if I remember correctly it was an addition to the throttle not the stick.. but If you haven't tried yet this forum probably the best place to get an answer, as even some of the developers of the cougar design frequent here.. http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=38 I hope that this helps you ..... ~S~ Blaze
  9. And I've been trying out the missions... I'm not that good with the SU-25, but this is helping hone my frogfoot skills.. I like the way you've set up the missions..And theres just the right amount of eye candy to keep it all interesting ... ~S~ Blaze
  10. Well this certainly is great news HPO... I've actually had my cougar completely apart on a number of occasions. as I replace some of the buttons... I actually dropped the stick on the floor once when my foot became caught in the wire.. And I've opened up the base when I installed the NXT mod..It has a ps2 plug on the bottom so you can actually configure the button wiring to that plug.. then it's just a matter of plugging the stick into the base and fighting it up... But I'm sure that your aware of this... Thanks for the update... ~S~ Blaze
  11. A Suncom is a joy stick that was in production about 4 or 5 years ago... It actually was a F-15 joy stick and had a split throttle,, just like a R/L F-15... Well its no longer in production but a lot of virtual pilots still use them.. as with HPO's squadron.. Aeroscout do you have the goggle tool bar installed? Its really very good, it sits just above the explorer screen and you can search very easily.. You don't even have to leave the forum... And another good thing is it has a built in spell checker.... ~S~ Blaze
  12. I hate to say this but you can get the download right away... I actually haven't had to many problems with it... ~S~ Blaze
  13. I had an opportunity last year to get a Suncom stick still in the box as new.... I should have jumped at the chance and bought it, but I wasn't sure if I could get it to work with XP... I know that I had heard that there is a work around but at the time I wasn't that interested in it.. But if you think that you'll only be doing the upgrade for the Suncom, there's usually some for sale on eBay or at the Frugal forums.. ~S~ Blaze
  14. Well I really recommend a Cougar if you really have some money to spend to mod it... Its really not bad out of the box, but modded its extremely accurate... Personally the X-52 is to much like a science fiction controller for my taste but its no too expensive ~S~ Blaze
  15. That was interesting... I'm glad that you found it... ~S~ Blaze
  16. Well I'll give you my speal since you asked... The TFT's are all made by Samsung, and I think LG... Samsung has actually combined forces with Sony out in the western part of the USA, so even Sony now uses Samsung screens .. As far as heat is concerned though the tft's give off a lot of heat as well.. And for Visual clarity ..I have an old flat screen CRT monitor and I also have a large TFT.. Well nothing really beats the quality of my CRT.... But The TFT comes close.... ~S~ Blaze
  17. Yeah... You guy's are spot on ... I still waiting for the reply from MS... But Hey!!! maybe thats a good thing, and I'll just keep useing XP, and forget about Vista..... ~S~ Blaze
  18. No I really didn't do anything special but you might try this download if you don't have it already, it might help...http://www.download.com/Game-Voice-Share/3000-2121_4-10266186.html MS has actually stopped supporting Game Voice, just like they did for there Joy Stick... ~S~ Blaze
  19. That's great I would just love to be able to plug your stick housing into my "NXT" Cougar ....... I would really increase the immersion tremendously.....
  20. Ok ... Cool I think that I'll give it a try.. I dont think that I'll have any controller issues, as my rudder plugs into my joystick... Thanks for the tip .. Blaze
  21. From what I can speculate ED is interested in doing the F-16 first.. I mean the Falcon is very cool as it has AA and AG capabilities and the radar is in some ways is similar to the F-15... Now I might be leaveing myself wide open for some intense criticism so I'll just say that those two radar systems are more alike then say a comparison to Russian radar...And another plus is the rumor that we'll actually see a fix for the F-15 radar system.... And as far as what we would like to see next, the Hornet needs to have the ability to be able to land on carriers... You can see that Ed is concentrating on air to ground combat at this time... And again the F-16 is more in line with that genre and doesn't nessasarly need to use its tail hook even though it has one, its not used as much, I mean its AirForce Bro not Navy....... ~S~ Blaze
  22. Stands to reason.... :smilewink: ~S~ Blaze
  23. The more the merrier... ~S~ Blaze
  24. Thanks Fu I'll check it out... ~S~ Blaze
  25. I had game voice maybe about 5 yrs ago .... I was fine for other games and I did have it working with Lock on but since I installed X-Fi it wasn't recognised... So I've stoped useing it.. And I'm not sure but I don't think that my version was XP but rather Windows 2000... ~S~ Blaze
