M60A3 Laser Range finder doesnt work for APFSDS rounds

we need a remodel of the aiming/ballistics. how in the world an apfsds can't travel straight but the hesh/heatfs can? when i mean straight is about the zeroing ballistic that intersects with the aiming point /laser rangefinder -
nullI have replied on that same post the difference btw the ptt on the radio and everytime( on 99% of the videos the sounds are different) this is why i asked if it is added via software from recordings to be shown on briefings or idk. boop vs beep.

switch back and forth on the seats, try to place/remove the m4 again, and try to mmb/lalt+c to move around.

it has been a while and i wish ed would revisit this post, having those N and M missile capabilities would help alot + the gun sound famous "beep" i don't know if pilots can hear it or it is included by the system on the recordings. + the flechette rockets.

Well the apache is missing the ky58 and ky100 encryption ( kiowa has the CIPH it makes comms secure in srs). It is not implemented the Freq Hopping/ HAVE QUICK 1 AND 2), can't use the NLOS on the datalink. we are missing the flechette rounds. the N and M variants for the hellfire too. (they were introduced in 00' and 03')

I have a question. whenever using apfsds in the abrams/striker/leopard. why are they not compensating for the laser des? like zeroing? ik that the abrams in real life like the leopard has a computer to fix that btw the gunner view and the cannon muzzle but how do i do it ingame? i wanted to zero the guns for apfsds (track ir is always off when joining ca) i was only having problems with the silver bullets.

using the track ir to move your body to aim at the targets is strange, doing it on the huey actually helps, because you can swipe the mouse around and move your body to get a better shooting stance. we also need miniguns and .50 cals

that broke my apu, and i could not restart the bird after repairing some bullet holes. =/ had to re-slot. also the FLIGHT PLAN MANAGER doesn't work anymore. I could not start the bird after repairing.* -
Can't shoot my guns using control mode ( like in the huey or kiowa) using the head to aim is weird , i move around to adjust the firing or look aft/fwd of the helicopter to engage but on the chinook is weird.

I wanted to bring up a concern that I’ve seen discussed in the community and that many of us feel could benefit from some attention: the behavior of AI radar, specifically in relation to terrain masking and the detection of low-flying aircraft. The Issue: Currently, the AI radar often seems to detect low-flying aircraft, such as helicopters at low speeds and altitudes near the radar clutter or low-altitude jets, through terrain like forests, valleys, and hills at ranges that human radar systems would typically struggle with. This can sometimes feel unrealistic, especially when trying to use terrain to avoid detection and gain an advantage for example. Why This Matters: This issue impacts the experience of players who rely on realistic tactics—like flying low behind terrain to avoid detection. While I understand that AI is meant to provide a challenge, improving how AI radar accounts for terrain masking and applying more realistic radar limitations could significantly improve both the realism and the challenge for players, so they could follow their own strategies to deceive the ai. It would make AI 1v1s feel more balanced and aligned with the physics of radar detection that we, as players, experience, it would be more appealing and we would praise these advancements and not be frustrated. Possible Improvements: AI Radar & Terrain Masking: Perhaps AI radar could be adjusted to more realistically consider terrain and environmental factors (like forests and mountains) when detecting low-flying targets. This would reflect more realistic radar behavior. (specially for helicopters) Radar Attenuation: Incorporating more attenuation in the radar signal based on distance, terrain, and obstacles could help to bring AI detection ranges closer to human radar capabilities. (like HB did for the f4, the enemy ai would have to search for us in the "WORLD") Why It’s Important: This adjustment would enhance the balance in the game, particularly when flying in environments where stealth and terrain masking are a vital strategy. Many players have expressed frustration when it feels like the AI can "see" through terrain,(specially one of my posts) making these strategies less effective. Addressing this could have a positive impact on our enjoyment and challenge of flying against AI opponents. I know that the game development is an ongoing process, and I do appreciate the hard work that goes into every update. Thank you for everything, and I wish the game continues to evolve!

Just saying that back then i could lock the targets like in the f5, by adjusting the antenna elevation and flying lower than your targets. adjusting the gain etc. now i can't do the same. i have the half action and full action from jester in the front. now it wont work anymore. Thus i had to read the jester context action. i know how to use the f4 radar, the problem is manipulating jester to do the things i do in the back but as a pilot in the kiowa for example, you can move the MMS in the pilot seat ( its like the wso/rio function ) but a camera ( mass mounted sight). with george on the apache you can use the george direction wheel ( i don't even look at it, i know all of his function by memory like a checklist) now that i said what problem i had, like manipulating the radar from the front. i had learned and read the context menu, SOMETIMES like 70% of the time he wont track targets, right in front of him, i try to move steady as possible ( i can see the tgt horizontal line that is approaching my on my radar repeater in front) but he won't lock, i even lower my altitude so its easy for him to see it but he won't select it by pressing short and holding for track it. i'll try disabling him. tbh i only have him to compliment my landings and for the comic dialog.

Hey good morning, thank you for the reply! i had the fwd / aft and left / for the following functions, using the warthog hotas from the a10c /f16 viper stick Fwd dms = short = select next target. left dms = hold = lock target down dms= double tap = drop. <<that's just for the scan, when he wants to lock or manages to find anyone, yes i have to manipulate via the A menu. ( has the f5 2016 module) and its a pain to find tgts bellow you if you don't have the parameters (yes the radar on the f5 sucks) unless you fly lower than your targets to avoid clutter and mess with your antenna elevation/gain etc.>> if i manage to get jester to move at all and do his scan. ( he wont let me scan myself using the antenna elevation and the antenna hand control slews. he centers it making impossible for me to find anything from the front seat) when he locks, it works. nulli just press what i need. so there is no multi-function buttonon the way ( like george on the apache ) a.k.a. press and hold to change the type of missile, instead of tap to change the weapons for example. i can manipulate stuff on the kiowa just fine from the pilot seat. jester wont allow me to move his antenna elevation anymore and the radar cursor. =/ (managed to do it 3mo ago) haven't changed the binds. had to resort to this method . i have radar selected on and i have the aim7 selected.

jester refuses to search or lock any target sometimes using context menu. yes radar is on and selected. tried with auto focus on /off..

HAD stops locking on targets after a while. BUG or intended?

on a friend's flight with everyone using datalink when tdoa, it stops working after a while and it locks in something else, you can't unlock it and if you send your harms, it will shoot multiple harms. -

some buttons are bugged on multicrew and can't fire the .50 as the result of that. The .50 it will go burst fire mode (have to press and release multiple times) where as single pilot works fine with the first and second detent.- 591 replies

We need these options from the mission editor but for the ground crew on the multiplayer server. People on multiplayer can see you changing skins, adding the apache FCR, adding different weapons/ removing f16, f15c, f15e pylons. we need options like that for the kiowa on both single player/multiplayer: RAPID DEPLOYMENT GEAR or NORMAL GEAR. an/alq 144 or cmws Pylons on or off. And more smoke grenades. An optional addition, the old .50, m2.

Are you usually crashing when as cp/g on multicrew environment? if i am not crashing, my cpg is always crashing.

yeah, i played a few hours before the maintenance just fine. i rarely play offline ( only when no internet because isp maintenance but that is rare) so i never get to use the "3days ticket". i got caught in the limbo because the last time i connected /played was successful. a few hours later when i decided to come back and play a little more their services went offline for maintenance.
