  1. Doing ramp starts while waiting for a hotas in the mail would drive me crazy! Oh the pain! A true test of patience that will be. GL
  2. The only time I personally go NOE in the theatre portrayed in the game is to evade air threats. The A-10 has such little energy as it is, having no altitude that can quickly be turned into energy isn't a place I like being. Yeah it is great fun though!
  3. Cool! Nice, question. What is this the tail of? Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. Is it some kind of Yak 24u variant laying piping? EDIT: or maybe even laying rails
  5. As I understand it (not 100%) that diamond indicates a laser target picked up by the Pavepenny system. As this system is now obsolete on the A-10c, you will not see it.
  6. Havent used it, but try here: http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/
  7. Yep- and of course make the waypoint the SPI
  8. Check out the input/output forum, lots of info there. Suffice to say, I haven't seen a disappointed warthog owner yet, If u have the cash, go for it.
  9. Yep you can, that's what I do, much quicker.
  10. Concur with both points.
  11. Perhaps it is some castering logic or something? I made a track, this time it occurs to the left. It appears that it is this way when I enter the game. http://www.2shared.com/file/hyBbLznz/NWS.html
  12. OK, had a search about, found a couple of threads, but nothing that deals with this directly, so I guess its something that probably only happens to me. When my NWS is not engaged the nosewheel veers right. This makes takeoff pretty exciting and means I have been leaving it engaged for the whole takeoff role. When my NWS is engaged, the nose wheel straightens. I can sit on the ground turning nose wheel steering on and off and watch my nose wheel turn and then straighten. As it is straight when NWS is engaged it would suggest that my pedal calibration is correct, so I am confused at what the problem is here? Here is a pic with me on the ground and my NWS off, as u can see rudders are central. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    SR-71?

A bit boring dont you think? The advantage of the DCS series over x-plane, MSFS is that you can employ weapons. Going up to 80k would be fun the first time, after that I'll need to be engaging targets to get my fix.
  14. These are nice, thanks.
  15. Was just about to ask whether it did that. Interesting non the less.
  16. Damn, what a shame. Hate to sound fussy, but I think this will be a deal breaker for me...
  17. Looks great. Do you have to have the MFDs on the bottom right and left of your main screen for it to work? Thanks
  18. Just like to say that I finally had the opportunity to use this mod and I am extremely impressed. This mod is some of the best work I have seen from the endless community input this game gets. Looks great, sounds great and is incredibly simple to use. Fantastic work Headspace and all involved.
  19. It will work fine if you use easy radios. If you start using realistic then you will have to use the transmit function of each radio.
  20. The effect of steady crosswind on a 172 is the same as an a-10c. Inertia will only come into play for gusts, so weight/ size is not a factor . To figure it out, it is the total crosswind factor divided by the miles per minute in air speed. 1 mile per minute is 60 knots. So at 120 knots in the hog your drift will be half your total xwind factor and at 180 it will be a third.
  21. If the ball is centered then it probably isnt an assymetric load as this would displace the ball also. I would suggest that it is crosswind. 2m/s is ~4 knots, if this is all xwind, it will be noticeable on the HUD as 4 knots crosswind at A-10 takeoff speeds will create roughly 2 degrees of drift.
  22. Interesting, thanks Trev. Would that be type 1 in the vid? Cheers
  23. This thread has some good info. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59962&page=2 Cheers EDIT: and this one http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59962&page=2
  24. It will seem cheap once you start playing them.
  25. Yes I did. Thanks Warrior. Think I'll be RMAing it tomorrow. Cheers
