The Su-XX had to land at some AB in Tadjikistan (not sure) that was captured by some mercenaries, as their tanker was shot down by mujahedeens (not sure either). A good guy ejects a bad guy from the Su-XX. One major difference - no lady pilots in 'Mirror wars' :(

Yes, it is possible, test pilots do this routinely on every new aircraft. The plot is BS (and don't mean Black Shark here), but aerial footage is let's say worth watching :)

When Performance.exe starts it backups export.lua and copies export.lua~prf over export.lua, when it is closed everything is recovered.

Yes, I am using a combination of pitch and heading to calculate the rate of turn. Another option would be to indicate the 'trajectory' rate of turn (e.g. it will be much smaller for cobra maneuver). Which one makes more sense? Wow, I didn't know a FFB joy would move after LoSetCommand inputs. Potentially it makes it possible to create a training mod, where one can 'feel' the controls in a track recorded by the instructor.

Hi, No it does not work for 1.02, because 1.02 does not support lua export AFAIK. It's not normal. Does everybody have this error?

I guess, you are talking about Phantom Control and Show Controls :) http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=13321&highlight=phantom+control The tool window of Show Controls does not work when LockOn is in fullscreen (you have to uncheck the fullscreen button in LockOn graphics settings). I was planning to use overlay to fix this issue, but did not manage to make it yet.

Here is a technology demonstrator I just made. http://www.asnr47.dsl.pipex.com/files/bubl/LOPerformance.zip Extract the zip wherever you want and launch Performance.exe. Do not minimize the tool window, also LockOn should be in window (not fullscreen) mode. It displays in real time turn radius in meters, rate of turn, and total energy as the equivavlent altitude in meters. The radius and rate are not necessarily in horizontal plane. Actually it shows instantaneous radius and angular velocity of the longitudal axis of the aircraft. For example in a vertical maneuver (like loop) it still displays non-zero rate of turn. The indicated turn radius is limited to 5000, as otherwise in straight and level flight it would have to say 'Infinity' or something like that :)

Ну, если у Гейба Ньюэлла за окном собственный аэродром 1-го класса с парком из Су-27, МиГ-29, F-15, A-10 и Су-25, на которых он может летать каждый день сколько захочет, то ему можно только позавидовать белой завистью :biggrin: Просто это разные жанры. Как художественное кино и документальное/научно-популярное, аудитория тоже разная.

Unfortunately, I do not know what the bullseye program is, but I think it is possible to make an indicator of the turn rate and/or full mechanical energy using lua exports.

"Сервак предоставят" - кто? Соло-выступления на СФМ (на одном самолете) в онлайне ИМХО вообще не имеют смысла. Смотреть на скрипты СФМ на закритике уже неинтересно :) ЗЫ Групповой пилотаж на СФМ выглядит приемлемо, потому что поневоле летается на умеренных режимах, до "области скриптов".

Хорошая мысля, кстати. Тогда не будет вопросов, почему в реале режимы точного пилотирования на самолетах проще, чем в симах. На велосипедах, думаю, многие умеют кататься, а в симе нужны будут длительные тренировки (из-за отсутствия того самого жопометра, в частности) :D

На авиагоризонте регулировать скорость не получится :D Авиагоризонт - это прибор, который показывает крен и тангаж. Наверно, имеется ввиду автомат (удержания) высоты?

Скрины с новой шкуркой от Леонида (в процессе разработки) с сегодняшней тренировки (фантом Дмитрия, Виталик, Феникс и я). ИМХО, надо что-то делать с черным и белым цветами. Под прямым освещением нормально смотрится (если не считать сильной засветки от белого), а вот против света выглядит как смесь оттенков грязно-серого. Наверно, особенности директХ.

Вообще-то имелось ввиду "сольное" выступление нашей группы :) Кстати, есть вероятность, что в начале февраля сервака не будет недели две (уедет со мной в командировку).

Кто бы еще сервак для выступления одолжил :) Наш больше 8 человек, включая зрителей, не потянет.

А про какие новые джойстики рассказывается (модели)?

It was not properly tested, but it should work. I believe :) Now that I think about it, the utility could be used to "cheat" in offline missions. It would be like Ctrl+Q (taking control in a track), but it would be possible to record a new track, repeating original up to some point.

Yes, that is what I had in mind making "ShowControls". When "Show" is ON, "Phantom" is always OFF, so to use "ShowControls" mode you have to "Play track", rather than "Fly" or "Start mission" (which is the case when the "Phantom" is ON), because in "Show" mode the control inputs (recorded in phtrk) are transmitted over to "ShowControls.exe" during the playback of a track (trk) using TCP sockets, while in "Phantom" mode those inputs are actually controlling the user aircraft. In short, the phantom does not enter control inputs in "Show" mode at all, as those inputs are diverted to "ShowControls". Does it make any sense? :D
