  1. How much are you willing to spend?
  2. H-19 Chickasaw?
  3. To be even more clear, DCS level modules have break axes, Flaming Cliffs level modules have toggles.
  4. There's a way to tell it's painted on the photo. If you notice, the part of the blue circle that's on the tail seams perfectly with the rest of it, which means that the flag is superimposed.
  5. No?
  6. Around the 00:24 mark
  7. What benefitted Oculus was their partnership with Valve, which was cut short when the FB acquisition was announced.
  8. Check the Mig-15 trailer, at the 1:12 mark.
  9. It's a limitation of LCD panels. If their refresh rate goes below a certain number of frames per second they start flickering. For some panels its 30, for others 40 and 45 Hz. Since Gsync/Freesync/Adaptive Synch matches the refresh rate of the monitor to the frames the pc sends, they can't get lower than the number set by the panel manufacturer.
  10. That is the most biased thing I've ever seen. I wouldn't use it in as a real comparison in a conversation if I were you. Unless you want to be laughed at.
  11. What? No it doesn't...
  12. Probably fake. EDIT: Apparently, it's not fake.
  13. I was expecting a bigger thread. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/01/22/minecraft-hololens-minecraft-reality/ "Unlike VR headsets like the Oculus Rift, the HoloLens only takes up a small part of your field of vision—depending on where you turn your head to look—as well as voice and gesture commands. Although the office around me and the two Microsoft employees next to me are clearly visible in my peripheral vision, so is the holographic world projected in front of it." "When I walk towards a nearby desk with a computer, I notice that that Martian landscape disappears beneath it, rather than projecting over it; users can designate areas where they don’t want holograms to appear, which is especially useful if you want to interact with the holograms using a computer." Yes, this and CastAR seem more appropriate for simulations.
  14. It certainly isn't something with the video, even the shadows on the canopy move. And the mountains aren't tha far away, as you see when he gets a little higher up in the next few seconds. Actualy, they are right behind the base.
  15. Something else I noticed, at around the 00:50 mark the shadow of the Mig moves abruptly, probably the sun postion getting updated. Is that how it works now? You can also see what I meant earlier, at 02:53. The ground looks almost real, and the mountains very blurry. Could be the textures.
  16. I think it was stated when they first showed it. Guess I'm wrong, as I saw Sith denying it.
  17. DOF will only be enabled on screenshots.
  18. Seems like someone jumped the gun. The video's been pulled. I saw one problem with it though. The ground around the base looked so good that even the much enhanced mountains look a bit cartoony.
  19. Congratulations, I guess?
  20. This is up to ED. Now that AMD has a supersampling option too they have to consider adding options for bigger ui elements.
  21. Depth of Field is only going to be used in a screenshot tool, not in game. The clouds are just a wip, hopefuly they'll add more definition to them.
  22. On my machine (7790), almost identical to 14.41. Anyone else?
  23. Have you all checked for conflicting controls?
  24. If you have problems with Shadowplay, use Raptr DVR by AMD, it works with Nvidia machines and supports SLI.
  25. As I said, expand isn't recognized as a command in my system. On the other hand, 7zip, unlike winrar, opens .dl_ files as any other common compressed file.
