  1. And if I'm not mistaken...as RazBam continues progress on the aircraft these close combat radar modes should automatically lock the ENY aircraft if they fly within those parameters. For now we must manually lock them up but the real system modes do it automatically. Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. Beautiful flying, beautiful video! Bravo.
  3. The button on the INS panel.
  4. I've been wondering about that Harrier. You got another buyer here. Love your Mirage 2000! Please oh please encourage someone to make a Falklands map to go with that Harrier. ;) :D
  5. LOL...you are not alone Speedbrake. I was confused for a while myself after trying to new update and finally got smart and read the changes in the change log and manual and finally figured it out or thought I did. This thread just confirms the new changes which I really like. Also bit different in HUD symbology when you are master arm on and missiles selected...bit different than what we had before. What a beautifully done module, just love flying this aircraft big-time.
  6. The Mig-21 was designed for specific parameters/missions. It did it's job for its time. Also, many here are forgetting that if it were the real world and the mission designers actually tried to emulate the real world in DCS, for every F-15C there should be 3-4 Mig-21s coming at them. What was an old communist phrase? Quantity has a quality all its own.
  7. LOL. You do need to watch it again when you can with sound on. He actually points out the things you mention in his dialogue. It is like you and he were of one mind. :joystick:
  8. Video was not of me. It is flown and made by a guy I fly with...Jack Flash.
  9. Since Jack Flash isn't promoting his video, I'll promote it for him. :) Jack Flash made an excellent tutorial on ILS landing in the Mirage 2000C. Here it is.
  10. This might help. An excellent tutorial by Jack Flash using ILS.
  11. I can confirm this is false. He actually has many good ideas. :pilotfly:
  12. Real nice INS navigation video from Jack Flash.
  13. What I do is adjust my FOV to what I want it and then save it. You are fine until you play mission again or play a different mission. Every time I play another scenario or replay the one I just finished, I have to readjust FOV again and save again. This only happens in official 1.5.
  14. There is a little bit more to it. When you set up your bindings, do you click on or highlight at least one square in the column you are binding keys to and then hit "save as" in order to save the profile? There are specifically three different profiles you should have when you do this. One column (profile) is for rudder pedals. Another column (profile) is for your throttle and yet another column (profile) is for your joystick. So in effect, you will have to "save as" three times for the three different columns (profiles). What I think you are doing from the little amount of detail you give us is you are binding your keys then hitting the "save as" button without highlighting one specific column and naming it as a profile. That is why you are not seeing anything saved.
  15. When you say you saved your settings, am I to understand you saved three different profiles: rudder profile, throttle profile and joystick profile? You lost all three profiles?
  16. Just disable DOF (Depth of Field) to turn it off. I actually like the effect and keep it on myself.
  17. Chuck once again sets the standard for guides. :pilotfly:
  18. Congratulations ED with the update! Works flawlessly on my machine. I see a lot of Mig-21bis vs. Mirage 2000C servers up and running.
  19. Merry Christmas to you as well CptSmiley and thank you for fulfilling my dreams to be a Mirage fighter pilot! :)
  20. My guess is actually soon after Christmas, probably sometime in January.
  21. Exactly.
  22. Yes they did say that. It was ready and sent to ED for final testing in the new update coming for release to us all. You didn't read careful enough and you obviously don't understand the process this software goes through before it reaches us. No one lied to you. You made erroneous assumptions.
  23. And an alpha/beta still has certain standards. If those standards are not yet met, then ED should not release until those standards are met.
  24. Good to see ED is taking the process step by step, making sure everything is in order before releasing to public. The worse thing they could do is rush quality control for the sake of the cry babies.
  25. IIRC you will get the steam release when 1.5 goes out of beta and becomes the standard version. But don't quote me on it.
