Thanks much Rich. -
Sry, but are there any F4:AF pilots here?
enigma6584 replied to JaNk0's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You can also go on over to SimHQ. They have a pretty good forum for Falcon Allied Force. www.simhq.com -
Relax Pilotasso. I for one enjoy the 169th's server because it is more objective based but it is still summer time here and I enjoy a lot of things besides a computer flight sim.:) It is not shameful, just life.

Online missions: but what is it that you want?
enigma6584 replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think the server administrators do a pretty good job with the missions I've been seeing up on Hyperlobby. The more realistic and complex, the better IMHO. I would like to add though that it would be nice to include aerial refueling tankers in the missions and other AI aircraft from time to time like Mig-25, F-16, Mig-23 etc. etc., tactical bombers would be nice as well. Since many servers run the missions 6+ hours at a time, one could space the spawning of those AI aircraft along the length of the mission. That way, if you are conducting a fighter sweep with your bud and all of a sudden you get the "25" symbol on the TEWS, it adds a bit of diversity to the threat equation out there. Those AI aircraft could also act as decoys on behalf of the player/human element whose side they are on. Players would get one hell of a education in target sorting and designation.:) -
2 questions - Radar question and AI question

GOYA is just getting impatient. Patience is hard to maintain after a while even if you can see the sun just creeping up over the horizon. -

Favorite online plane to fly and why
enigma6584 replied to ScEBlack1's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
F-15C. I've really come to enjoy this plane (even with its undermodelled characteristics) due to the nice SA one gets with the information displayed in the HUD, MFD and TEWS displays. You can pretty much put together a good picture in your head as to what is out there confronting you with these display units. My usual loadout: 120 AMRAM X2 AIM-7 X4 AIM-9 X2 Fuel Tanks X3 -
He is correct. You just need to practice and learn your aircraft. This question has been asked a thousand times here so your answers are already written somewhere on the boards. If you do a quick search or just browse the forum going back about 5 pages, I think you will find more than enough information. Cheers.

Real nice job Ghostrider. You definately have an eye for this sort of thing. I'm going to keep this one for a while.

Feel like starting playing online??
enigma6584 replied to *Rage*'s topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Another thing that helps a lot is if you have all the players on one team talking on the teamspeak channel usually provided by the hosting server. I have had it happen to me where I'm ingressing on the target, no friendlies on my radar, my buddies talking to me on teamspeak letting me know where they are etc., fire the missile. Then, some guy on my team, not on same teamspeak channel etc, happens to be in the weeds out in front and starts climbing in altitude toward my target just in time for my "pitbull" 120 to pick him up. He is not a happy camper.:music_whistling: -
I second that! If I had 1/100th the skill you guys have, I'd be in heaven! Man, and I thought I was big-time simulator pilot when I got my new HOTAS system this year (talking the X-52 here) LOL! I have much to learn.:) Real nice pits guys.

Why is the LOCKON community so cut and dry?
enigma6584 replied to NEODARK's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I show my appreciation and gratitude to all the "givers" in this community by allowing them to shoot me down up on Hyperlobby.:music_whistling: :D -
What scene are you referring to InguanaKing? I had just watched that movie a couple of weekends back and can't recall the scene you alluded too.

Graphical Problems--I Think
enigma6584 replied to enigma6584's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Look at the very top picture. On the right side, on the section where it says "Fire Exting Dish," you will see a slight discoloration of the metal walls surrounding this area. Almost looks like there is no texture there. It only is observable in dusk or dawn sitations depending on where the light hits it. The same thing happens to the other side where the "Ext Stores Jett" button is located. -
Do Any of you getting this particular graphical problem in the A-10 cockpit? I seem to only see it here and only when certain lighting takes effect in certain conditions in the mission. Daytime missions or night missions, everything looks normal. Look to the upper right where the Fire Exting Dish button is. Another, closer view. Here it looks fine when you change position from sun and get a different lighting effect. Not as noticable. The last pic shows the other side, Ext Stores Jettison Button, having the same problem. It is only these areas and in low light levels I see this. I'm not sure if this is a graphical bug in the game or my graphics card. I've looked at Ironhand's video tutorials with the A-10 and I think I see the same thing in his video but am unsure due to the lower resolution. Do any of you see this when flying A-10 in dawn/dusk missions?

Wonderful video! That is the way to do it...taking life by the balls! ;) Thanks for sharing.
