  1. Got it sorted, just needed the x64 patch from starforce. Nate
  2. Try the Mi-8 forums http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=279 Nate
  3. Currently installing FC1 to build a case for change........ EDIT:- Anybody know how to get starforce working in x64? Nate
  4. Hmmm - try using ALT-TAB out of DCS and back in. Nate
  5. Apologies, bad terminology on my part, Doppler PITCH shift I should have said. Not sure inwhat situation Phase shift would occur. There are other issues with the current sound engine that the previous one didn't have. The Current engine seems to use a very aggressive compression filter. The impact of which leaves the Sonic boom sounding like a wet fart compared to Lomac's Room shaking version, both use the same sample. There is no dynamic range left in the sounds as the current engine strains to play everything at 11 and then limits them at 10 (Not literally BTW). Nate
  6. The Sim uses more than 4gb now it seems. Nate
  7. Doppler phase shift has always been there, since Flanker 2 IIRC. Nate
  8. See pg 27-29 of the user manual. Nate
  9. Ambient sounds have been added to the Sim world. Also Distant sounds for objects have been added, as you can hear with the video above. Nate
  10. Since port 10308 is blocked in your LAN you could possibly use a VPN to tunnel out through an open port. But to where? If the tunnel ends at your home, that is where the connection is made from the wider internet. It is the same as the server sitting in your house. Team Viewer doesn't rely on specific team viewer ports being open, it is a Layer 7 connection that uses the standard Port 80 and 443 Http and HTTPS ports. EDIT:- You will need to get friendly with your sys admin and buy him a beer or two. Nate
  11. You'll need to be able to open ports on the firewall and also set NAT rules. You could attempt to pay for a VPN service, but it could be tricky to setup. Nate

  13. Awesome work, well done! Nate
  14. Unfortunately the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is not supported at all in the current DCS. Nate
  15. edit - sorry just noticed you were on 64bit - 1 sec..... Try Installing this --> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632 EDIT:- Dual i5? Nate
  16. Helping control. Nate
  17. Sounds to me like a lack of RAM and the system paging out memory to disk, trying to cope and eventually running out of swap disk space too. Nate
  18. The memory requirements are growing - I suspect 1.2.6 will be the last to attempt to support 32bit, but I'm not sure. Nate
  19. 11 & 15 - Use ALT C to switch mouse modes. Use Middle button to move about the cockpit. Nate
  20. This is most likley the cause. Nate
  21. Yes a reinstall is probably best, but try reinstalling just the modules first. Nate
  22. How could you resist? Nate
  23. Could you explain the process of terrain creation perhaps. Just so we get a better understanding of what is required for a functional terrain within the sim. Make it a long post :) Also, what benefits to the new tools and engine bring to the creator to use in DCS? Nate
  24. Yes that is a better way of putting it. My way is quicker to type though :P Nate
  25. The Black sea map won't use EDGE. Nate
