  1. Yeah, in my experience, you have to tell them to RTB. I wish they would just stay on your wing, a number of times I have tried this, and they dont seem to realise that they are landing, so they allow themselves to hit stalling speed and always crash into the ground. I have never tried trail formation as suggested above though.
  2. Ah, the speed slider - that is the key! I dont have Track IR, so I use the slider for zoom, and it works incredibly well.
  3. I have Dled FC2.0 but have yet to play it. How does the R-27R and ER Stack up against the Aim120C? And, more to the point how does the Flanker stack up against the Eagle? Because sure the Eagle is a capable aircraft, but IRL there has never been any SU27 vs F15 engagements that could really show how capable each is if I am not mistaken. I thought the SU27 was more or less on par with the F15?
  4. This messy airports has always been a problem and one of my pet dislikes. Why cant we have someone acting as an Air Traffic Controller during busy times? It would add a hell of a level of immersion and be great fun. People could be warned and banned from the server for not following directions.
  5. Yeah, glad you found it. I was wondering the same thing, seeing in all these videos how people manage to gently slew the designator over a target, I was thinking how do they do it, because mine is always on or off, and moves too fast. So then I thought, "minimouse" and tried it. It's ok, but not as good as I thought, the directions feel all skewed and not all natural for my fingers.
  6. Understatement of the century! That is friggin awesome! (Did the music come from some porno?)
  7. Thanks for your comments everyone. @Avilator, cheers, I know some of them didnt work out totally perfect, but some worked really well, like the takeoff on runway and airshow routine, I had fun trying to fly and match what the real life pilot did. I might actually make some other videos with the same concept, cause its damn fun to make  @GA: Well, I just thought the credits turned out damn cool with a lot of attitude, and fitted nicely with the song...I guess I like works that show attitude more than artistic value or something.:noexpression: @Witchking: Yes, each to their own and all that, but in my opinion, the lines of the Hornet are just amazingly beautiful, its so sleek and perfectly proportioned. Dont know how accurate the flight model in the mod I was using is, but its incredibly maneouverable too, much more than the F15. @Ange: Many thanks my friend.
  8. Whaaa?? But it looks just like Lock On...I mean I can forgive the tanker being the same, but the cockpit looks no different other than the 6DOF...? -- EDIT, just read posts, I get it lol. Nice find.
  9. Hello all, I have made this video after trying out the F/A 18 mod for Flaming Cliffs, one hell of a beautiful aircraft, I would say the most perfectly proportioned aircraft ever built and very graceful. Anyway, on to the video, stay for the credits, they are my favourite part! F8doFbCCGPQ
  10. I second TheMoose, I thought the sound levels were perfect, had the volume that real jets do, it may be that it was to do with GA's sound setup.
  11. When you are far away from a missile, that can actually be a good time to do avoidance as you can make the missile waste its energy (speed) by following your manouvers, then it wont have enough energy to reach you, or to turn by the time it does.
  12. Yeah, the program you are looking for is called "LoCFG", do a search for it and it should show up.
  13. That would be exactly what I was looking for...I couldnt remember what the files were called. I will try that, I had to finish the video without using either of those, but it still came out ok, check out the link I will post in the Screenshots and Videos section shortly. Thanks for the help, I should be able to sort it out for next time.
  14. This is another work of art Ange. I see you put a lot of time into this one. Thank you for sharing the video.
  15. No, havnt got it yet. 1.12b. Lalt + C? Ill try that thanks.
  16. I am having trouble, it used to work fine, but I mapped mouse movement to move the target designator, now I have undone that but it wont work. I am using LOCFG, and I set the mouse to 'move the cockpit view' and save, but then it does not work, and when I go back the option is unchecked. Also, I cant get camera jiggle (Shift - J) to work. It also used to work and now it does not. I am making a movie and I need both of these features.\ Any idea what I can do?
  17. Sounds great. Should be much more realistic.
  18. Ok, I have uploaded it for Grizzly and anyone else who would like a copy. Upload still in progress, but link should be www.filedropper.com/FlankerGunzoRevised, I will confirm this later on..
  19. Yeah, the search the Fighter Collection. Better to get a hard copy to hold onto anyway....
  20. Case, this is a great idea, I remeber people in the 104th mentioning it and it really struck me. Great to see some community minds coming together on this one, bodes very well for the future of our sim.
  21. Nope, just me vs. the AI...
  22. @ coolts: No, I am not nit picking here, there are a few small errors that can be overlooked, but as I mentioned before, some of the briefings are almost incomprehensible! I am not just talking about small grammatical errors. It is not something that would need a lot of resources dedicated to it. As I said before, I could imagine that to proof read all of the campaign mission briefings would take around 2-3 hours, no more than one day's work maximum, hardly something that is going to cause the product to be released early in a buggy state. I will post my favourite example at the bottom. @Distiler: This is not flamage. As I mentioned in the OP, I am just asking ED to do a proper proof read before FC2 is released, I am even offering them my services to do so. Ok, so here is a good example: Ok, so that one is understandable, but very dubiously worded! There was another, much better example, where I could not actually understand what was being said, but I cannot find it at the moment. I will have a look later on.
  23. That looks great.
