I don't see any indication that StarForce is involved in this issue, so there's no point in ranting about StarForce. That's the old standalone version of DCS A-10C. The information you posted is not enough. Can you post the full crash details (screenshot or text)? It would also help if you could provide the technical details of your computer, a DXDiag report would be good.

This is why there are so few announcements from ED and third parties. Everything is subject to change and the best laid plans don't always work out. As far as we know, it was their full intention to launch the pre-purchase before the end of the year, but it looks like it didn't work out. If you don't make any announcements, people complain. If you do make announcements and things change, people complain. ;)

I believe there was a statement that a pre-purchase with access to beta was considered with beta release before the end of the year, not a final release in any case. That said, this project was announced just a couple of months ago ...

Does the system that you're trying to run DCS on have Visual Studio 2010 installed? If a library is missing, you can check this using a tool like Dependency Walker. Correct. Can you verify that the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable was installed correctly on your XP SP2 x64 system? Combined Arms includes a number of missions which you can access from the missions menu. I recommend reading the manual first, it's quite small anyway. --> .\DCS World\Mods\tech\CombinedArms\Doc\Combined Arms Manual EN.pdf

Must have been a copy/paste mistake by Microsoft.

According to the download page for Visual C++ 2010 redist. it requires SP3 on Windows XP. There is only one installer (for both x86 & x64). The installer automatically installs the x64 version of DCS when the OS is x64.

Because Russian Christmas is on January 7th :D

If you wait until the final release you will have to pay more for FC3 ... and you will still need to get a Lockon license.

The second set of MD5 hashes for the .bin files indeed don't match the ones on the download page, which was also the case for the first set of MD5 hashes you posted earlier in this thread. It looks like the torrent didn't complete completely ... Do you use a standalone torrent application like BitTorrent or is it integrated in your browser? Can you post a screenshot where it shows the torrent being complete? Regarding FTP, it may prompt you for a user/password when too many people are connected.

The MD5 hashes for the .bin files don't match those on the download page. The .exe file appears to be correct. Did the torrent download finish?

Can you give a list of the installation file names and their file size? Maybe some are missing or incomplete.
