Hi, did you manage to lock a ground target? Were you able to ground stabilise the camera and select targets? I posted a Miz file in the link above, no mods, and the WMD behaved inconsistently from a cold start. I will retest after work and see how it acts. I'll post the findings here. -
It would be cool if the canopy on the F18/16 iced over when at high altitude, cold environments. It would give a lot of immersion.

New request for a Pilot Body for the JF -17 Thunder

Sadly the updates seem minor these days. A pilot body would be great, especially for VR. However I think this Jet really needs to fix the tpod as priority. Its disappointing that this is still an issue. It makes on-the-fly AG operations very difficult.- 1 reply

Hi @GOA_Escorpion (R) Fyi- the DF21 has a massive range. Make sure the enemy ship is outside of the minimum detection/fire range, (the inner green circle when you click the unit). -

Hi @GOA_Escorpion (R) I tested again tonight. I placed the DF21-D down with an AWACS in the sky. 1 enemy ship. The AWACS detected the ship, the DF21 primed to fire, FIRED and sank the ship. That was all. A bit like the Silkworm but no radar required. 1 thing I noticed is that (probably due to the problems with CH ballistics), that the initial phase of the missile trajectory, it does not climb high enough. Although the final stage does. -

Hi, I tested this a few weeks ago as I noticed that the Iskander ballistic system wasn't working correctly, (I think due to a problem creating the ballistic code). However this anti-ship missile seemed to be working fine. It worked on attacking ships but not land based targets. It did take ages to fire and i did have to put down an AWACS plane. -
HI @BIGNEWY, I wanted to share a suggestion for your consideration. During the development phase, I recall the AKG missile having a functional seeker view, originally implemented as a TV/IR feed. I understand this was later deemed incorrect, with the correct feed expected to come from the datalink pod. Given the current limitations of the DCS engine in handling this data, would it be possible to temporarily revert the seeker view back to the TV feed? This could serve as an interim solution until full datalink functionality is supported. Such a change would not only enhance usability for virtual pilots—making the AKG and similar missiles like the AGM-84E more enjoyable—but also help reduce the immediate pressure on the ED team to implement a permanent fix. @uboats I know teams are very busy but I really think the tpod needs to be a priority. I can't play my JF17 as I can no longer use the tpod. It does not ground stabilise for me or stabilises off the target. -
I agree with hotrod525. Going forward, some level of artistic license may be necessary when designing modules, their systems, and weapons. Personally, I enjoy a mix of modern combat—whether it’s stand-off engagements or the risk of close-range encounters. At present, AI-launched cruise missiles behave unrealistically by flying in a straight line, and some incoming assets rely on ‘best guess’ specifications. I understand that some players prefer strict simulation accuracy, but ultimately, the choice to use these systems remains with the player. Expanding options and enhancing missions and scenarios will only serve to make an already great game even better

Is this specific to Currenthill's mods? If it's a general question or issue it would be best in the mission editor or core section of the forum. Also give a little more detail, like can you create your own missions in the editor. I don't use the Quick mission so can't advise. If you want to add units to your own mission they're listed on the left hand side of the ME. -
ED is in control of the weapons, so they can add the rcs data of the ships into the weapon code.

Not integrated yet. I think it will be out soon though after listening to a recent interview he gave on a YouTube channel. -
The current state of the JF17 is very frustrating. Not only issues with the CM08 AK but also the AKG & other weapons that seem not to have been addressed by ED. However Deka is responsible for the WMD/TPOD & this, when I last tested is still not ground stabilising. Apologies for going off topic. I just miss doing ground ops in my Jeff. I hope the systems in the jet are corrected soon.

By guessing (based on witness statements, observation and prediction based on legacy systems), which is what they'll have to do with the systems of the F-35 itself, i would have thought.

I haven't used these bombs since they first were introduced and they were always short of the target (even with the SatNav setting set). So I don't think they've been worked on since.

I wish this tpod bug was fixed, it's making AG missions unplayable. I'm surprised it has not been raised more. @uboats

Yes, one of each. The system has two types of launchers (100 & 96D). It follows the set up of most other SAM suites, as in, 1 CC vehicle, 1 SR, 1 TR & as many launchers as you want. You can add vanilla support vehicles if you wish. If the system is not on an airfield you will need to add a truck if you want it to rearm.
