V2.9 latest OB 28/12/2003 Single player - Auto start from cold. Syria map Hi, I'm running into a problem with steer points later into my mission that are showing incorrect distances. I created a SP mission and laid down 11 steer points. The mission is going well until I turn onto steer point 7 of 11 (11 being my landing). I'm in auto pilot, and look at my HUD. It is showing that I'm 55 miles from steerpoint, when I should only be around 11 miles out. I turned on the AUTO steerpoint auto pilot, and when I approached the steer point it did not recognise that my jet was over it, so had to revert back to manual switching to steer point. Even when over the steer point my jet was showing as being 50 miles out. This was replicated throughout the remaining steer points. I don't know if this is a map problem or an F16 problem. No trk file as the mission was very long. Maybe a problem with having more than 6 steer points? -

Difficult to say without a visual example, although AI has limitations & one has to be precise in the AI/ME commands. If it helps, I did a video on how I set up a CAS and SEAD/DEAD mission. Please see link -
Strange reply. People learn about them. Equally, some people don't know anything about NATO weapons, until they start to fly US jets or European weapons until they fly the Viggen. What we do is learn about them. Same goes for Chinese & Russian weapons. Along with, ground vehicles & ships.

Yes the mountains off runway 15 are a real hazard. I don't dare try and land there at night. -

I put the RWR script files in the actual installed DCS folder, under scripts. I think the path is shown in a 'read me' file or on this forum somewhere. Adding these files allows the planes RWR system to recognise Currenthill's SAM systems in the planes RWR. -

I've a low/mid range PC, However, the Caucasus map is fine in SP for me, and that's with ground and air units with ME triggers on the map. I would check that nothing is running in the background on your PC. Look at your start processes. Also we don't know your PC specs, so don't have everything cranked up if you have a lower end machine. If you're running OB, then multi-threading is a good idea as well as choosing the DLSS option in settings if you have a lower to mid range RTX graphic card. I personally think running the game from a SSD and having at least 32 G RAM is needed. Hope you get the issue fixed.

No - sometimes it works but mainly not. I thought maybe a conflict with other DCS versions but probably not. I'm going to test now by going into Windows Protection History via Windows security and allowing DCS. I'll let you know. Unless you've figured it out -
When ED say feature complete, does this mean the new dynamic lighting system will not be added? the lighting seems to be rolling out on third party maps but none yet for the ED maps.

Without documentation or evidence they will not amend the WMD ground lock or weapon ranges. I've always thought that the GB6 glide bombs have a ridiculous short range even when high & fast. As for the LD10, I've never set a PP mark, I always use a waypoint over the general area of the SAM. I do think DI need to update the systems and address the bugs. The CO802 AKG, doesn't render the ground and the picture is very muddy. It doesn't bear down on the target either. -
Hi The CM802 AKG cruise missile for the JF-17 is not rendering ground textures in it Data Pod feed. Please can this be looked into. Much appreciated

Thanks, @Lunatica can you also look at the lack of ground rendering for the CM802 AKG cruise missile, I miss using it so much. -
[CHK] CM-802AKG Seeker does not render ground at long distances.

TBF, it needs to change, as the weapon is unusable. One of the selling points for this module for me personally, is the stand-off capability if the CM 802 - both anti ship and the land attack (MITL) cruise missile. I'm pretty sure it would not be this unusable in RL. The missile has worked well in the past. This missile need a clearer picture, and also to keep its stand-off range or just forget it. -
I agree, the JF17 is a fantastic module, and has many unique features that other high def aircraft do not have. However, recently noticed the 'report to ED' replies. I would have hoped that if a bug or problem is reported that this would be taken forward by Deka, rather than the customer making the report. Hopefully, this is just a mis-communication or temporary thing and that all bugs or issues are looked at and acted on by Deka or at least reported to ED for investigation and fixed.

DCS 2.9.1 Intel 110400F RTX3060 32 gig RAM SSD I've tested the Syria map today on my mid-range PC, & I'm also getting lots of stuttering in various parts of the map. My FPS is totally erratic. When VSync is on its the same. the fps is moving high and then very low. All other maps i get a smooth consistent frame rate. Oh btw, lowering settings is not making much difference.

Apologies, my issue was not a bug. It was impatience and not knowing the weapons system on my part. I re-tested and realised that just because one is within the firing range (as indicated on the HUD), it seems that it doesn't mean the maverick D seeker can lock the target. It will only attempt a handover. -

I'm also having this issue with Maverick D in pre mode. The crosshair is inconsistent in appearing. When I do get a lock the missile is off target by several meters. I will re-test and see if I can reproduce the issue. -
An option to open an internet search engine while in mission, so one can look up guides/info/pictures of fluffy kittens etc... while in the cockpit.

Hi, CM802AKG DCS 2.9 - Caucasus map Just reporting that the AKG cruise missile picture via the Data Pod is still terrible. Difficult to see if there are any ground textures as the picture is so difficult to see, even after changing the brightness/contras levels. Don't know if it's a bug or the missile is just terribly 'nerfed' - although at this point it is unusable. Please can you look at this TRK file attached - thank you. cm08 akg.trk
