No there's no flight controls position red box appearing on any kneeboard pages. I'm pretty convinced its still being told to start drawing box at 0,0 which is no longer visible on my secondary monitor since its 1920 x 1080 and the main monitor is 2560 x 1440. Since you have to tell DCS the new combined resolution is 4480 x 1440, on the second monitor the top row of 340 pixels is not displayed. The info will be in a lua file somewhere...

I'm running DCS most of the time using a second monitor to display MFD's (for the the F-18c) but noticed when Im flying the Huey in same screen config the top left red box showing control positions is no longer visible. I presume its mapped to 0,0 position for single monitor configurations. What I need to find is the Lua file that controls this and edit it so I can still see the control positions in the 2-monitor setup. Note: main monitor for me is on right, starting at x=1921, and is bigger res than secondary monitor on the left displaying the two MFD's I use for the Hornet. Does anyone know the location of the lua file controlling the position of the control display box?

Is it possible to trigger smoke/fire to turn off as well, when you enter or exit a trigger zone?

Its such a great plane to fly, a little lua file edit should not be a deal breaker - worth the effort while its on special offer!

So strange, I cant get my head round all the differnt file paths for differnt textures. I dont even have a DCS World\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Liveries\B-17G folder but at least you got em working.
-
I put em in saved games > DCS.openbeta > Liveries > B-17G If the folder does not exist, create it.

is V0.81.7z the latest? Having troube getting any showing up

Yes I get this issue with the Yak, I guess its supposed to be the re so you can trim to keep it stable at cruise power. The sllider for rudder trim in the options > special menu doesnt seem to work either. I ended up editing the planes flight lua file so it stays a lot more stable now. With only a twist-grip joystick for rudder it gets a pain on long flights. Theres a few threads in the forum here about editing the lua to improve this.

Have a look at windows sound settings > advanced, it will give you separate volume controls for each item currently running (well it does on my average pc) so you can then change master volumes of dsc, discord, srs, anything, to get the balance better.

There is a problem after the latest version of Open Beta.

@kevo320: revert to previous version: -
I made a B-17 folder in saved games path so I get the hi res skins, Flak Eater, Mischief, D-Day - but dont get any of the olive drab ones I've seen on screenshots from friends online play. These I think are the lower res skins from maybe earlier versions? The skin packs you can download in DCS have a bunch of the lower res skins (only one dds texture file) which dont seem to show up in game now. They just default to D-Day Doll. (which is very pretty). Maybe what is needed is some new hi-res olive skins if this is a post-update issue.
-
well thats really interesting as on the mission editor I get none of these default skins, only the D-Day Doll. Some of the other B-17 skins I downloaded are very differnt files - single dds for whole skin but others are 4 or 5 textures with specular texture files as well.
-
Pls advise correct location to find & store skins for the B-17? I see screenshots of basic livery B-17s but theres only one default ai skin on mine, which is v nice and shiny metal but I want a wave of drab olive green ones to shoot.
-
Its sorted, I had a second controller doubling up as a trimmer on the same axes as the jystk. Once they were cleared it was back to normal again.
-
Is it me or has the pilot trim control changed recently in teh Huey? I used to be able to lock joystick settings x,y and z-axis with a trim button mapped on my hotas hat, now all it locks is the rudder twist?

Done - loving the recent free month of fun gesture but I have money to buy things and you wont take it!

Sadly the above info was too complex for me to implement. I have installed new SSD and copy/pasted all teh Eagle dynamics folder & files over to it. Now I also want to move all the DCS stuff in the 'yourname' > savedgames > dcs.openbeta folder, but its location will be referenced within the game, so is there a way I can tell DCS that I moved all the savedgame content (about 20gb)?

Im having error #3141 problem here trying to buy modules. The selected payment method failed. Please contact the site administrator. Transaction was not registered because although the POST format was valid, some information supplied was invalid. Unable to register transaction. Error #3141: The BillingCountry value is invalid.

Im sure this is prob in wrong section so apolagies in advance, did not know where else to post. So I ran out of space on my SSD boot disk, bought a new larger ssd to house dcs stuff. Have moved over all the main root directory Eagle dynamics stuff tot eh new drive now want to also move about 20 gig of the username>saved games>dcs.openbets folders to same drive, but how will dcs be able to recognise Ive moved all those files & folders? Is there some way it needs to be told where to look for all the saved game content?

Brilliant - I came across this earlier after a few frustrating hours trying to get other jstk emulators working under Win 10, this guys github and script got it working pretty easily, now I have 8 sliders, 8 knobs and 35 push buttons to play with along wiht the 12 on my hotas joystick. Best thing for me is a rotary knob for rudder trim, a decent slider for view zoom (my hotas rocker was falling apart) and I need to decide what to do with the rest now ;) -

HI, I created an F-18c dashboard using just the AMPCD and the left DDI, both screens and surrounds show up fine but I cant get any of the buttons to work. I checked the install and the lua scripts were all in the right place as per your dialog in the first post, but nothing seems wrong and there are no errors in the dcs log after exiting a mission. How can I get th ebuttons working please?
