F/A-18C Dynamic Campaign: Battle Group Delta
PB0_CEF replied to MBot's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Hi, OpenBeta bug :( The only solution we found with our campaigns was to remove all objects on th deck ... it should work for Hornets :) Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk -
Ok not so bad quality : you didn't install files in the "saved games" (another name in your language : mine is "Parties enregistrées" for example) folder. Try to find it in the C:/ drive in your "user name" folder (Sublime for exemple I don't know which one is yours on you computer) Tell us if you find it Step by step ;)

New India-Pakistan War 1971 DCE campaign flying the MiG-19P against Indian MiG-21 ! Other versions will come with Sabre (Pakistan) and MiG-21 ! See the first post for links FOR RELEASED DCS WORLD The install notes : To play this campaign you need : - To play on the RELEASED version of DCS WORLD - To own the WW2 Asset pack - To load and install Indian Mig-21 skin : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1850019/ - To load and install Pakistan F-86F sabre skins : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306864/ - To use OvGME (https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3594613&postcount=29) or JSGME (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607) After downloading the India-Pak War 71 zip file please Unzip it somewhere on your harddrive. You will find those folders : - DCE_Missionscript_mod - Indo-Pak War Mod - MiG-19P - tech 1 - Copy/paste "MiG-19P" folder in your "user name/DCS/Liveries" folder - create "Liveries" folder if it doesn't exist 2 - Copy/paste "tech" folder in you "user name/DCS/Mods" folder - create "Mods" folder if it doesn't exist 3 - Copy/paste "DCE_Missionscript_mod" and "Indo-Pak War Mod" in you OvGME or JSGME Mods folder. You will then have to use the utility to enable those two folders in DCS WORLD main game folder before playing the campaign (you should remove those mods after playing campaign) 4 - Adapt the campaign files to you configuration : In the "Indo-Pak War 71 - Mig-19" installed folder * Edit "FirstMission.bat", "SkipMission.bat" and "DEBUG_DebriefMission.bat" files with a txt editor like Notepad++ (free to install : right click and edit with ) You should see for example : « start cmd /k "F:\DCS World\bin\luae.exe" ..\..\..\ScriptsMod\BAT_FirstMission.lua » Change « F:\DCS World » by the hard drive letter C: D: etc ...and your game main folder if different from DCS WORLD To play the campaign you will find it in the DCS WORLD - CAMPAIGN looking for DCE to the left side of the screen (not the MiG-19 campaigns).

Hum... DCE is not really designed to use pre defined missions... the only triggers used are in the camp_triggers_init.lua file in the Init folder. Look here may be you can do something with it : I'm not a specialist of triggers :music_whistling: In DCE the campaign maker is only preparing a ground unit map template with targets and defenses. He defines units to fly on with specific loadouts for specific missions and then DCE makes everything else looking for target priority, enemy strenght and weaknesses and generating missions with all those elements. Mbot system is so well done that we can think it's like human made missions most of the time  But I'm not a mission maker specialist and it may be possible to add user-created mission triggers I don't know. May be use an existing campaign to make tests :)

I'm not sure how this campaign works but you should be able to change start mode in the camp_init.lua file in the Init folder then generate a new campaign using FirstMission.bat file I made a little pdf to explain how our modded DCE campaigns work here : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=191858 Look in the TF-74 campaigns...it's not a complete explanation how to make a brand new campaign but it's better than nothing  I made a small documentation about campaign making a long time ago but it's in french and not completly actualized :music_whistling:

After TFs campaigns I’m working on the Hornet over PG adaptation. Then I will be able to adapt easily M-2000, Viggen, Tomcat, IRIAF Tomcat, and more ... Then maybe adapt old Caucasus campaigns too... I’m trying to finish a special Indian-pakistan war 1971 with flyable Mig19 F-86F and Mig-21 too

Please there are different campaigns with different installation methods. Old campaigns will be updated later and we need to know which new campaign you want to install ? Chose one (TF-74 or TF-68) and try to install it reading the installation pdf ... If it doesn't work give us your installation paths (writing them if you can't post screens :) We will try to help you step by step... First step is to install it on DCS WORLD version (released) NOT DCS World OpenBeta and NOT on a STEAM version...

Sorry about that :( I disabled my antivirus to test and I was able to finish my Tomcat's first mission so I can now use the DCS campaign system to continue the campaign...I don't know if it's THE solution ... I will see next missions  To win the war it's simple : you must destroy as many targets as possible (not 100¨% of course but nearly 50% of them) targets are listed in the briefing and debriefing. Remember that 20% or less destroyed target is considered destroyed for the next mission but that damaged targets can be repaired if more than 25% left... Of course you can loose and it can be really easy to do so :music_whistling: : - You loose too much squadron's planes (reserve planes come to complete your squadron but it is not unlimited) - You loose your carrier or she is too damaged to stay in the Task Force ... You should read messages in the briefing to tell you if war is nearly won or if your squadron is nearly depleted ... If your carrier is too much damaged the next mission will tell you that the campaign is lost and why ... Good luck (and maybe try to disable your antivirus to test if you play offline)

Hum not really I think you misunderstood me : If the first mission ends well, accept the result in the dos windows AND LET DCE generate a new mission by itself  After restarting DCS you will be able to play the campaign normally ... after each crash do the same... If you use First_mission.bat you will generate a completly new campaign :smilewink:

It's not a real problem for DCE. Accept the mission result in the DOS windows and generate a new one... quit DCS (abruptly :music_whistling:) then launch again and DCS campaign will propose you the next mission ...

Often if you launch the first mission and stop it quickly there's no bug so you can use the DCS campaign system after the first mission ... What is your antivirus please ? I search what can cause this problem in some systems and not others ... Mine is AVIRA...

It’s a strange bug because Miguel21 never had this problem... me sometimes... If the first mission ends normally you can use DCS campaign system for all the next missions , it’s easier... Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk

Do you have the debriefing text file when DCS bugs ? And do you have the dos style window to accept mission result and generate the next one ? I had sometimes the same problem with the open beta but really not often with the release ... Try to save the log file in the saved game folder just before killing DCS process (it was the only way I found to quit DCS :( When I had the problem in beta I found a solution ( not THE solution but better than nothing ) : if my first mission finished normally I was then able to play the campaign normally even if DCS bugs. I explain why : in fact DCS campaign système is not really following what happens exactly in the campaigns stats are not really accurate and the only useful thing could be the mission number flown. DCE makes all the job ! DCS campaign system is only a useful way to launch the DCE missions without going in the files system to select the good mission to launch ! DCE uses only two missions names : the campaign name_first.miz launched only the first time when DCS campaign system begins the campaign then the campaign name_ongoing.miz. This last one is changed after each mission ended or when you use skipmission.bat file. The first mission is only changed when you use first mission.bat to generate a completely new campaign. So, waiting for a better solution you can use two possibilities : you are lucky with a first mission ending normally : use DCS campaign system to play the next missions. It will always launch the ongoing new generated mission ! Stats in DCS may be false but it not important DCE will do the job - if you are stuck with DCS at the mission end accept the mission and generate the next one ... If you are not able to have a good first mission there is another solution to play the campaign : play it like a mission not using the campaign system : when the first missions end bugs, accept it in DCE and generate the next one and then play always the campaign using the DCS mission system and selecting the campaignname_ongoing.miz mission... Not really useful but better than nothing waiting for a fix to this problem ... Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk
