  1. I really would like to make a Persian Gulf campaign but options seems to be too limited : - only one usable airbase in Iran (with taxiways) - no F-14 nor F-4 on Iran side - no Oman or UAE dedicated planes Maybe a limited war could be possible ...

  5. Absolutly no problems with that :thumbup: You can make it with all my other campaigns because I didn't buy F/A-18 module yet :(

Some airbases are not really usable for DCE because they lack taxiways and planes need to use the runway to taxi for taking off : It takes really a lot of time so missions timing might be corrupted :( I have a method to assign Tomcat and F-4 to iranian side but I think it's best to wait until ED make an official patch for it no ?
  7. I made a mission with one kind of aircraft for each airbase then I opened the mission file and I found the altitude, the coordinates and Id of each airbases :)

  9. Well I will try to make a Strait of Hormuz campaign as soon as possible if it works (I was able to do it on Caucasus but never on Normandie :( ) but I didn't buy F18 module yet ...
  10. There's a problem with IA take off : to be able to take off, their loadings need to be very light. One solution could be to put very little fuel and to use tankers before going to the target but it's not very useful :(

  12. Strange you didn't have any bogey !?! Did you wait until the end of the briefed time for the CAP ? First missions are usually rather busy ! Did you use the last campaign version ? I prefer using pre-defined channel to listen to AWACS ATC or Tankers and use the other radio to manually listen to my package all the mission long :thumbup:

  14. It's not exactly like this that this campaign must be played. It's a strategic campaign not a tactical one (bombing rather than doing CAS). Your goal is to destroy enemy planes and installations missions after missions. You prepare the mission (DCE makes most of the job deciding which plane will be involved), you fly it (trying mostly to survive doing the job) and then you land, look at the debriefing (when you exit the mission) and then you launch an other mission looking for what HQ had prepared for you :thumbup: DCE will not work very well if you land reload and go back to fight :you will quickly be alone in the sky :music_whistling: and it will be boring no ?
  15. Well this campaign doesn't care of "winning" a mission or not. You have ground targets and your goal is to destroy them or to kill enough red planes to deplete completly red air force. You loose if you have too much losses and it's a draw if you don't win before the max number of allowed missions (40 I think for the normal campaign). That's simple ;)
  16. Readme file, Changelog version v8.0 : "New Mbot DCE version (december 2017). New variable timing for player start. It gives time to Mirage 2000C drivers to prepare the plane and even to refuel before crossing frontline. If you want less time, you can change timing on line 21 in "EN/Campaigns/Mirage over Caucasus-Fighter-Light/Init/camp_init.lua" file using free notepad++ for example : startup_time_player = 1800, (defaut setting gives you 30 minutes before normal take off ! If you want 15 minutes put 900 for example... )" ;)
  17. Well first missions are really difficult because SAMs EWR and Intercept fighters are at full strength ! The campaign system should try to weak them a little by destroying EWR first to stop Intercept red missions and only allowing less effective CAPs. When you are flying a strike mission with escort let them go first to clean the sky a little and if it seems to difficult go back and wait for an easier opportunity to go through defenses. Try to adapt your waypoints to avoid not targeted SAM sites (It should be done by DCE). When you are in a big dogfight try to avoid to fly over enemy SAMS or Airbases. Begin your attack run from high altitude and launch bomb higher as possible and of course make only one bomb run using all of them to destroy one target, then run away quickly !

  19. If you play SP you should be able to see the mission targets in the planning screen (little triangles) so you can find all of them. In MP it's more difficult because you don't have this possibility... (open it in mission editor before launching it) ;)

  21. It's really a strange bug I never had. You are starting cold so I don't know why you can't power them after a normal startup ?!? There's no trigger for escort : they respect the mission timing (look at the briefing) In the readme file you can see that I put a really big timing between player appearance on the ramp and the real mission start : I like take my time and depending on the mission I can refuel with my wingmen before going to the target or the CAP zone. You can change this in the camp.ini file (see the readme file ;) )
  22. Well many questions to answer ;) -If you want to have an other first mission you can try to use the FirstMission.bat (more details in the readme file). You may have the same mission because it's a high priority target but it can be a CAP, a sweep or an escort too... - Don't worry if all the target is not destroyed in the first mission. An other mission will be generate later to finish it (with you or other muds) - DCE use a target list with priority and depending of planes availibility to generate missions. After this first target the more logical targets are EWR and SAMS or maybe Airbases. All this missions will be generate logically but also sometimes randomly... - The campaign's goal is to destroy nearly all the ground targets or russian airforces but you will have 40 missions to do that (if you want it to be more you can change it) without loosing too many planes. I never had time enough to finish those campaigns (I have to restart a campaign after each update to test the first mission and the others ). - The use of F-16 to lase targets for Mirage will depend of selected targets by DCE. At the moment AI use GBU very well but I was never able to use it against multiple targets because I'm not able to know which precise target is illuminated on a base. The best target is a Bridge... The F-16 will automatically lase the target near the zone (it's a script so it's not like a JTAC : no 9line nor F10 use)

Well, after more than 2 months with the new DCE I just discovered why reds muds never attack with the new version : I forget to remove one code line from the old red loadouts files to the new ones : It took nearly 2 hours to find this bug after trying many many other changes to OOB, targetlists, etc... All this to say that it's often a simple code problem : so try to copy/past the good loadout and to modify it to be sure you didn't forget something. There's not always errors messages ! :doh:
  24. Hotfix 2 for all the Mirage over Caucasus versions and Eagle over Caucasus : Fixed a big error which prevented DCE to generate red ground attack missions ! Sorry for that :(
