  1. Amen. Or just update some of the old quickstarts with them. Huey oil platform delivery on caucasus still has old clouds lol!
  2. 2024 was a year for DCS. Truly awesome progress with multithreading and quadviews performance gains. Some superb modules hit. But also the year of the razbam drama which isn't solved yet. So was it a great year? Well.. not unequivocally.
  3. Naw man, you aint alone feeling like that. Tenner for a nice update, sweet. Throw in a 2nd couple of sidewinders and I'd be happy as a pig in the muck.
  4. ...And a couple more sidewinders while you're at it!
  5. Up!
  6. That is quite a bit more than just basic bug fixing if you ask me
  7. Me and my regular joystick (virpil cm-2) love this new setting to bits. So sharp!
  8. On my box its right smooth and fast. Lovin it!
  9. Sure thong bud. So they added settings in the 'special' options tab for putch and roll controls. There used to be some weird funky deadzone and curves in there to simulate the vipers force sensing sidestick controller. But hardly any of us have such a thing. And on a regular joystick the viper felt sluggish and imprecise. Well, no more. It feels quick and nimble and a proper hunter now, worthy of its nickname. Still no 'nine G for days' though. Thing bleeds like a delta.
  10. Sweet mother of Bog I'm happy with the new input settings for the viper! She be righteously sharp now baby, yeah!
  11. As the dude on discord said, patch notes like these show the value of "let them cook".
  12. Watching the final flight pass over was something special. My son was there with me. I will miss the pretty silhouette of the viper in our skies.
  13. Apparently the thing needs a little more time in the oven, no worries, its gon' be gud!
  14. Sounds good! Looking forward to the update.
  15. I just gave this a go. Box is mostly dedicated to running DCS so yeah. I'm gobsmacked. It makes quite a difference. Loading times too. Any other bits of windows I should turn off?
  16. If it does, might we just be able to adjust the range? so where it now only adds or subtracts say 0.2, put that range to +-1.5 for a more dramatic effect.
  17. Hi, I often fiddle with the gamma setting between missions. At noon, in the desert, 2.0 is quite enough, while at zero dark thirty I usually crank it to 3, 3.2. How cool would it be to simulate squinting/narrowing your pupils by just turning a knob on the HOTAS to raise or lower gamma between say 1.8 and 3.5. Even better would be if it happened automatically, but I bet that would give rise to a whole slew of fresh bugs. So how about in-game control of it, by twisting a knob or pressing a keyboard combo. Thanks, Schurem
  18. You know, just putting this out there. ED, do with it as you will
  19. I love it tbh.
  20. And delivered! Now the next step is to see about the accuracy of pintle mounts and working in traverse restrictions and sight field of view restrictions. Love the progress made! Flying hog became a lot more fun! Still, one does well not to stick around after a first pass...
  21. How do I launch the launcher?
  22. Sweet bug is sweet. Enjoy while it lasts!
  23. Can we have the shadow of our plane on the cloud? Please?
