I have the *feel* while flying VRS addon or PMDG addon for FSX. I do not have that *feel* with any other default aircraft or addons I tried for FSX. I do fly Cessnas in RL, but I do not compare its flight model with a virtual Superbug I have never flown. If this is about *feel* alone, VRS wins together with DCS for me and X-plane. However I will state the same - DCS should be first purchase. I back up SUBS17's opinions, but I am not VRS fanboy, I am DCS fanboy and I use VRS as complex trainer preparing me for DCS Superbug :)

First "flight sim" if it qualifies, Harrier Attack and LYNX on ZX Spectrum :P

AJ.eightFive I am using your VAC work and I thank you for that because you have saved me countless hours of work. I am concerned as we run multi-player server and due to cheat prevention had to disable exports. Unfortunately DCS server does not allow to scale integrity checks in such way that it allows multiple selection of "approved mods" while not allowing to connect with any other user changes to .lua files. So far VAC method is 100% compatible with integrity checks since its method is not connected with .lua exports and works both for FC2 and DCS modules.

I have and love both, but obviously DCS should be your first purchase and VRS second.

First PC was PC AT 12MHz (!) and first two flight sims: Flight Simulator 4.0 and Fighter Bomber

AlphaOneSix, I will be in July on vacations in your vicinity and plan to repeat flying from PALM BEACH CO PARK (LNA). I will take a friend from Miami for a short flight, and I wish for a flight to KEY WEST. I have been flying already from LNA to the south and to the west, but without any landings. Just sightseeing beaches and boats. Maybe you come visit LNA on that day I will be flying? :)

Thanks! Found it on map! AlphaOneSix, I made my PPL(A) from EPDE, which is Deblin airport of Polish Air Force Academy. Taxiways shared with TS-11 trainers, M-28 Bryza, and F-16Cs were visiting us too, and mostly SW-4 type choppers on perpendicular pattern. I am currently member of Silvair club in Sobienie-Krolewskie, EPSJ is my homebase ;) I am flying today cross country EPSJ-EPPK; refueling; EPPK-EPMO; EPMO-EPSJ :) some vids of EPMO and EPSJ here http://www.youtube.com/user/shamandgg/videos You can follow my flight today if you Iwsh using http://aprs.fi and search: SO5AGT *sierra oscar fife alfa golf tango, that's my amatour radio on board reporting position live. There is no need to refresh F5 website, it is an app that refreshes view by itself. This website works and looks great from smartphones too, you may broadcast your track live to your friend and family this way, all you need is radio on board on amatour band with APRS features. You may still see my previous 12h track history. It will update once I takeoff today. 09:30 UTC takeoff is planned. http://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a%2FSO5AGT&timerange=43200 This is how my Better Half knows where I am and if flight goes as planned.

AlphaOneSix! Congrats! Welcome to the club. What's your home aerodrome or airport you fly mostly from?

That's the F, E is Superbug

Here you can watch some of mine:pilotfly: http://www.youtube.com/user/shamandgg/videos thumb up if you like :)

Instead of waiting for ED to do this, make your own DC project and run it. We have been playing Crimean Incident dynamic campaign in FC1, now Georgian Incident in DCS/FC2, and with just few incidents everything is running and is very immersive. I wouldn't swap it for Falcon's DC engine ever, LOL. It actually saved my interest in FC2. It is the best online multiplayer flying I have ever been to.

As AI unit maybe, it could be interesting to see cruise missiles being launched from under water.

I had to revive it just to give a big credit and hug to my beloved ED friend since 1996 with YOU! DCS WORLD /// DREAM COME TRUE :D Even I just have a beta, I still can't believe it! Pinch me! Shaman bows! :moderator can close this thread: my big wish actually have been realized ;>

Me too. Extremely complex aircraft with full Fly-By-Wire concept and very advanced weaponry and sensors. I'd do joint-venture with VRS team if I were in CoreTex Designs to have access to VRS library and knowledge base and VRS devs used as consultants. All this even if means giving customer higher price for this addon. Without that R&D may take years to reach their complexity, or product maybe rushed and not as complex as VRS. I will follow this development very closely! CoreTex, Good luck!

VRS F/A-18E, I shall thank you for preparing me for serious digital combat :P

This is very correct answer for this thread and pretty much answers relation of wind causing airplane to stall. Crosswind is actually critical on apprach, life and death for General Aviation especially. Most stalls that ended up in tragedy happened during last moments in final approach or turn for finals caused by pilot used to fly certain speeds (and weights) and not increasing his airspeed enough to deal with lift problems caused by cross-wind scenario. Cross-wind can cause you too stall by reducing lift (even worse since it is asymmetric) on your little wings by disrupting and blowing off linear airflow too on normal approach speeds (typical for GA). You must add enough indicated airspeed speed during all phases of landing if you have cross-wind even on large planes. And remember, landing with significant cross wind use smaller degree of flaps! Edit: We had quite a lot GA disasters recently in Poland, not increasing IAS in crosswind scenario during landing phases is quite common pilots' error.

Typical attitude of my fellow country man used to observe tenders for infrastructure projects in Poland ;) SUB17, I know you are very active VRS and XSI forum member. I read your posts almost daily for years. Please reach Buckshot and make him at least to come here and make a market research how their T-38 addon would sell. Regarding IFF, I do not care whether T-38 or any other DCS fighter will have more detailed IFF then what I am used from FC2. I do believe DCS can be expended in future with a 3rd party library module that will simulate scripted IFF to more interesting and playable degree then we have now in FC2. Proof that impossible is possible is VRS and what they have done so far with their own external code that interfaces with FSX. PS. Talon was the only aircraft I took in a flightsim round the world!
