Just LockOn Modern Air Combat (legacy 1.0), and then install FC2 to a completely different catalog/folder. FC2 is a standalone product, however it needs to check if you have LOMAC 1.0 on your HDD. After FC2 is installed, you can uninstall old LOMAC 1.0.

There are many planes to be checked, but if you want to fix the stock fast movers just add XFCS plugin. Other high quality addons do not require that, but you can still hook up XFCS if you want.

Disagree. Because I own both Flight1 ATR 72 and Captain Sim C-130, and I find avionics more realistic in X-plane then in FS2004/FSX. Yep, I did fly in RL alone. Yep, I did fly on instructor seat plenty times in ATR72 and 42 and observed how it compares to FS2004/FSX "high fidelity added avionics" (X-plane wins already with stock avionics). In this case, because you are looking for heavy airliner try researching project x737 and all the additional payable software for it.

What's the point of having planes when they will be all shot down or their electronic equipment rendered useless with single beam of ground based energy weapon of some sort. BAM! Make love not war!

Military is deploying own portable - well they are big like a vehicle - nav aids. And yes, INS/GPS - you just replied to your own question. INS are updated on the apron or inflight corrected with military GPS signals. And yes, stars are used too and flying navigators were trained to navigate by stars - it is last resort though. However there won't be many constant signal emitting navaids available, and usually far away from the front line. The ones used by military will switch on and off only for mission purpose, right? Although one can expect portable TACAN near the airfields visited by US aircrafts.

Can someone who already owns LOP make a review what is in the box (photos), and how it installs (screenshots)? I already own FC2, but maybe I will grab this one. Does it need DVD all the time in to play it?
