Hi _Dredd, note you must change your TRACKIR_YAW saturation Y axis configuration from 100 to 44, and TRACKIR_PITCH to 64 for my profile (and most profiles, due to some DCSW incompatibility with TIR drivers axis when counting degrees). Hope you can dig it :) Once you do it and you load my profile, what TIR test screen shows you from pilot's point of view you shall see inside DCS cockpit, and you can compare TIR test window side by side with game running in window mode. Bellow attached TIR profile for above 1:1 setting and neck-mod. It incorporates little dead zone along 0-Z translation axis (fwd/back) plus curvature before reaching value of 1, this after many trials, to make sure it absolutely recognizes you are strapped to your seat and to eliminate any "play" along this axis when your back is rested :) Flight tested with Su-27S and A-10C for many hours. How to change default in DCSW:FC3, that when loaded in FC3 aicraft, mouse is already functioning as mouse cursor, just like in DCS aircrafts? :helpsmilie:

PeterP, you are absolutely my hero! Years of annoyances are gone! Followed instructions to the letter, I have tweaked my TIR profile, and saturation of TIR YAW (from 100 to 44) and PITCH (to 66) axes within DCS configuration to make sure in-game view is 1:1 what TIR test window shows me. The feeling of being there in the cockpit has absolutely been increased 10 times! Now I am ready to incorporate VR googles like Rift, before it was absolutely impossible with broken eyepoint and unrealistic HUD (when turning head etc). You have nailed it man and reignited my will to fly even more DCS! I have just logged many hours with this mod, I can't fly without it!

Towsim, You guys should definitely try AutoHotKey scripts. http://ahkscript.org/ It will give you ability to do whatever keys you want from whatever controller you want, even F13 and up... If it only had a UI on top instead, like now editing script files, it would be awesome. However currently it is super light on memory and "just works". When flying DCS, I use it mostly for PTT for voice activated commands that I have when I press down TM Warthog's MIC, emulated F14 key linked to press/release input state on throttle. I am not using this mod yet. I have a question to its developer. I still need to reduce TIR axis to 64% travel (yaw, pitch, roll i don't use) in DCS axis settings to get 1:1 translation from TIR drivers and stop in-game head of having faster turn angle than what is given on TIR profile, and lock head from turning past 180. Does 'proper neck mod' fixes this, and mentioned work-around is not necessary for proper TIR+DCS+neckmod operation? It is something I always wished to see fixed in game but devs never responded to my bug report. We are step away from full VR goggles for DCS and all these head issues have to be fixed pronto.

Unigine Graphics engine is impressive. What on their webpage is claimed that it runs tens of thousands active objects. However I bet 99% of ED's consumer PC's won't be able to run it as it is showcased. This is engine for big commercial training sims as you may see in their portfolio not for an unlimited range of garage built PCs ;)

You need version 3.0.12 9/9/2013 of TS3 to work with TARS, not higher. TARS is awesome for immersion through simulation of real life A2A and A2G communication and its audio effects.

I had BSOD after using updater on my first PC, had to reinstall game with full setups from DCS website. However on my 2nd PC I use Steam distributions, there - version by version, everything works wonderfully. Lucican, I recommend use Steam distributions then. Steam updates seamlessly without user effort. You may redeem your keys on Steam to get your modules as DLC back.

Your issue has nothing to do with DCS code or TARS code, this is clear user/operating system issue, one of you are doing something against another. It maybe be reduced user permissions within folder or structure where your lua files are located, or you are editing these files from another user account (not ownership). Notepad++ should work no problem unless you are restricted somehow by your operating system or some app that is trying to hijack some tasks from your OS (like some security software f.e.). In case of some software hijacking this process there is pragmatic solution to be tried: Launch OS in Safe Mode, launch notepad++ and try to edit lua files then.

There is control listed under A-10C SIM cattegory named: Navigation Lights RCTRL+L It is possibly more related to arcade mode, it has no functionality in sim mode. Tested it, no changes to lights switches. How about removing it then from there? DCS World 1.2.7

I had BSODs when running DCS after latest hotfix; and that is after autoupdater failed somehow to properly update my files. My next big update will be Steam install, Steam engine feels more reliable.

Today upon launching DCS it has notified me there is another update, I allowed it, it did its thing, it launched GUI and I ended up with BSOD quarter of second later. Any tries to launch Repair or game itself ends with immediate error message. Forcing me to download full 1.2.7 setup and modules, and reinstall DCS Blackshark than DCS World and all my modules, fortunately don't need LOMAC anymore :doh:

Updated 4h after release and all stages went automated and fine. And my PC is with UAC on and I am not on admin account :-) DCS is not installed in Program Files folders, but own folder with fresh restrictions. Maybe this is what stops others from proper update, UAC and DCS inside protected system folders?

I would buy such module, it would give me great time by revisiting the frog, however vanilla is more preferable.

Teamspeak software is the standard it this community. If you are willing to experience real deal hardcore radio comms, it is Teamspeak3 with TARS plugin (DCS plugin too).

Hi SFAL, good to hear someone is working on event that is coming. We have executed such big MP dynamic scenario with ATC/GCI, tankers, proper tasking, dynamic front and movable forces, management of limited assets and supply chains, all as two campaigns before, however due to network issues past Flaming Cliffs 2, third campaign in DCS World had to be postponed, ED gods know only how long... I truly encourage SFAL your stress test and can participate, because our trials have failed so far.
