That brings back painful memory's of a flight I once did in FS9 from London to the south of Spain. It was completely fogged in and I was vectored in on the Back Course but I completely forgot and couldn't understand why my ILS was leading me astray, then I lost orientation and well lost the flight arrgg.. :doh: Oh well how much does an A320 cost anyway :pilotfly: . As for the runway issue well for me the runway is sacred ground and even crossing it while taxiing should be done efficiently even if the runway isn't in use. Personally I reload on a taxiway that's out of the way or on the Ramps and I don't refuel/ rearm while "Holding short of runway". I think that area is for those that are "ready to go" and there's no point in holding others up with things that should have been done at the gate or while pushing back but you really have to work around what some servers allow and what some players just do.. I try to follow real world procedures and it works for the most part but some players can make that a little dangerous. :mad:

Me too. I was Playing IL2 FB AEP PF merged online right up until 1946 came out but by that time I just wasn't motivated enough to want to purchase a new sim. However I'm kinda missing the WWII type dog fight and I've been toying with the idea of getting Il2 1946, I probably will get it but that BOB looks great and I may hold out for that. I hope the they've modeled the vertical physics better and I really hope the US fighters get some incendiary rounds for their 50 cal. machine guns.

I always thought in LO it was linked to the speed of the aircraft, as long as your AB's are off and your going slow enough then heat blur is visible. And even when I was running Lockon on a GF3 Heat blur didn't affect my fps one bit, I wonder if its just bugged on some systems :huh: .

If you do decide to reinstall windows then try an older graphics card driver before you format .. :noexpression: I hope you can get this sorted out.:cry:

Kaspersky is the best AV software and has near perfect scores in testing, I "was" using it and I have to say it worked great and I never dropped a frame while gaming. Now I've switched over to NOD32 and once again I'm impressed with how well protected you are with out any hit in performance. I would definitely recommend either Kaspersky or NOD32. Norton however is a POS for sure, I know a ton of people that have switched to Nod/Kasp and have found several bugs on their system that Norton didn't even know was there.. And it's pretty system hungry leaving you having to deal with irritating stutters while gaming. I don't know what it's doing because it scores so low compared to every other AV software that Norton is now seen as a sad joke.

The AmrA folder in the My Doc folder is your default profile so don't mess with that. When you create a new name then you'll see another folder called ArmA Other Profiles which will contain the folder for your new profile and its also the place you would put your custom face.jpg file. I would recommend ArmA too, yesterday I finished my favorite coop, Urban Engagement, with out getting killed once :) . Of course its more capable than any other aircraft around today but will it in real terms be able to replace the F18 and A10 both of which have a true below 10K ft operational ability. I would guess that it wouldn't be sent on such risky missions so maybe that's a good thing for us Bug and Warthog fans..:D

I can bet its the same weight as a current helmet, if not lighter, and as for an ejection then I would assume its made in such away that the awkward part at the top would just break off once its exposed to a certain airspeed or G load so it shouldn't cause the pilot any problems if he/ she is forced to leave the aircraft at high speed. I wonder what the budget was for a helmet like .. a billion maybe??

The F35 is ok but it's really the same idea as the F16; how cheap can you build a strike fighter to use the current and future weapons systems. IMO after the F18 becomes redundant then why not just make UAV Strike Fighters that will be much more capable than the F22 and F35 put together. Maybe if they slung another engine on the F35 I'd be more enthusiastic but I just cant see the F35 having the same CAS capabilities that the current fighters have today. Awesome pics though and I actually think this cockpit looks a lot better than the boxy appearance it use to have although the Bug Eyed helmet just looks awkward and cumbersome but I'm sure it's neither so it'll be interesting to see how things develop from here.

To be honest 95% of the time I cant get beyond the initial Wait For Host screen when ever i try to enter a server running Evolution. For some reason it just hangs there and I have to press Escape which takes me back to the server list window.. So i try the next server running Evo and the same thing happens. It only happens with the Evolution mission, even if the same server runs another mission I can join no problem but when they go back to Evo it just hangs arrrg..

I totally agree with you on that .. I find Evolution pretty boring. My favorite is Urban Engagement and Air Cavalry, also Urban Engagement & Air Cavalry with 3 opfor positions that players can select. I did play a great mission the other day Called "Hell of Corazol" which was a total urban engagement mission and man was it intense .. totally awesome.
