  2. Well how long did we wait for lockon after it was announced.. I think it was 3 or 4 years and ED haven't even confirmed what they will be doing next so I expect a long wait ;)
  3. Considering the amount of info we are getting from the Devs then a release date of 15/5/2007 sounds about right. Hopefully it will be sooner but if not then no big deal.. As flightsimmers we're always waiting for something so as soon as BS is released then we'll all start talking about the release date of ED's next sim "Tank Busters" I think or something like that. :pilotfly:

Try using the "Find" facility in Note Pad or Word Pad instead; Edit: oops that was the wrong line :doh: Search for: AGM-65D*3</Launcher></WeaponCategory> Or change the *3 to *2 if you have used LOPE. ... and it will take you directly to Pylon 3 and then click find next again and it'll take you to Pylon 9. Check you're in the correct place before you edit.

  6. Ok the only prob I had was that I couldn't choose 2X AGM-65D's on station 9. I could for station 3 however if the load out was already made with 4 AGM-65D's then it worked with 2X AGM-65D's showing up on both station 9 and 3. No big deal seeing as I backed everything up and as soon as I went back to your meinit.xml file then everything seems to be working again.. Thx for the heads up :thumbup: .
  7. I'll check but now that you mention it I don't remember seeing the 65D's pop up on the HUD as I ran through the load i was carrying. :cry:
  8. I've been test firing the GBU range on some ammo depots just as an experiment and here's what I found; GBU-28, 24 and 15's visually are very poor, basically copy and paste jobs from flanker. However out of these three only 2X GBU-24's could penetrate an ammo depot. I thought two bunker busting 28's would do it for sure but it couldn't penetrate. I think that's gotta be wrong maybe if they were used by AI it might be different. GBU-15 cant be used. GBU-16, 12 and 10 all look great visually and worthy to ride underneath the Hog :smilewink: . Now once again only 2X GBU-10's could penetrate the depot and the rest failed to punch through.. The only GBU's worth carrying I guess would be the ones that either look good or can penetrate which would be the GBU-16, 12 and 10. Unless someone can come up with different results.

  10. I tried that but it didn't work. No big deal I actually prefer releasing manually so a double press works perfect.. Its those damn Amo depots it takes two GBU 10 (2X240kg) to destroy just one :smilewink:
  11. Forget my last post its working now :megalol: I did discover though that if you release manually you can drop the GBU's at some pretty extreme angles. Just level out and try to keep the Cuing Marker within the HUD, then once it starts to slide, anywhere in the HUD, release the weapon and bingo it will hit the target. Oh can you release them in pairs hehe I don't think so but just in case I thought I'd ask.
  12. First great MOD! I cant get the GBU's to release automatically, I select the GBU-10 then "O" for laser then level out as I fly towards the target. As I close the "Cuing Marker" starts to slide down the "Fall Line" but it never releases. What I have to do is to manual press the fire(release) button while the Cuing Marker is sliding down and then the GBU's release and hit the target. Any clue as to what I am doing wrong? Also can you drop GBU's in pairs? Thx.:)

  14. I agree that the length is more realistic when using the long AB mod however IMO because the effect can't be animated it doesn't look as real as the standard MOD, especially on the Russian planes.
  15. Anyone tried it online yet? I play Americas army a couple of times a month but it does piss me off a lot at times and I'm surprised that there are so few FPS combat sims. Rainbow Six was good but thats old now and Vegas looks like its following Lockdown a little too much so if ArmA is crap then it looks like I'll be back playing AA for my FPS kicks.. :noexpression:
  16. I know what you mean a couple of two stroke chainsaw engines in a tiny space don't fill me with confidence either.. Although I've seen this aircraft B4 on discovery wings and a pilot , I think Air France, flew one across the English channel :pilotfly: .

  18. I dont have a program to edit CMD files I hardly ever install anything other than the skin I want from the original Zip/rar file. It usually conflicts with other mods I have installed. The =FV=MAD NORMERA.TGA found in STAR_80 Su25 skin at the top of the page is most realistic I have seen.   20. I totally agree with you :thumbup: . OK One last thing; How about map Grid lines similar to IL2FB. That way you could have mission briefs with out showing the ground targets on the map. All you'd have to say is "Attack convoy North of town- X in grid AM/86 and AN/85". But it would work even better Online when informing your team mates of your location. e.g "A10 in AJ/80 need cover" etc.
  21. Exactly.. Only in the target menu which gives away the target position in the HUD. Why cant we assign this in the Mission Goal menu or even better just allow us to set a target up then select the weapon and then choose if we want it "laser designated" or not. This seems pretty simple to me.. but then again I dont know anything about programing :smilewink:
  22. Nope.. Mission goals don't let you assign a certain type of weapon to hit a target with also your wingman wont attack certain targets unless they are set up as a Target e.g Ammunition depot.
  23. How about something really simple....: The ability to set up a Target with out having a green diamond highlighting its position.
  24. With everything maxed out you can expect crap FPS over towns .. heck even with settings on medium you can still see a sustained fps under of 20. Check this thread; http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=19663
