  1. As the title suggests, what graphics settings causes or improves shimmering lines / edges? (see video - bomb approaching runway lines)
  2. I've noticed the same thing, obviously it detracts from immersion and realism and looks like an arcade game...

  4. Has anyone else had a problem with AWACS not reporting BRAA on bandits and no AWACS entry in COMMS menu? I set a sample mission - AWACS in USA coalition, F-16 in USA coalition - SU-30 in Russian coalition. F-16 and AWACS on 251 AWACS shows on RWR and visually. On mission start you hear AWACS calling in then nothing? No AWACS contact.trk
  5. As perhaps you remember I was having problems with bomb release but once that was sorted I had no problems with the bombs following the laser (1688) and I have many mods installed.

  8. No mods and an air start? Did you actually run my mission, by changing the track file to a .miz file?

  10. Yes, I fully understood this point. I flew this scenario 8 times, changing altitude and laser guided bomb loadout, every time but one, mínimum distance was reached before the second caret dropped to release point, which was causing the problem, the attached screen grab shows the ONLY time it worked and then only just. So? Which mission parameters are incorrect?
  11. Ok, so I waited for the second cue drop, ASL centred and got the same result, ie no bomb release. I tried with the Paveway on PRE just to check lasing / weapon release button mapping etc and everything worked as you would expect.

  13. Clearly I'm missing something here as I have used this combination before... The .trk (and vid) file should be self explanatory. The bombs do not release in CCRP mode. Laser codes are correct (I think they are automatic for an air start?) Lasing is on - everything seems to function as normal but bombs do not release... Any advice would be appreciated!   15. Having a quick look at Normandy 2, I see that road vehicles are of the period but the trains are the modern ones we have on the other maps? I also notice that the trains and road vehicles run on grass rather that tracks or roads? Also noted is that major landmarks cannot be destroyed nor can most of the bridges across the Seine and Thames... I'm sure time will uncover more little anomalies.
  16. Ha! There are ONLY 2 genders! I don't care which gender they really are as they are not real, we are talking about visual realism in the SIM, nothing more, this is nothing to do with GAMEPLAY per se, simply the finished result of the video.
  17. Helicopter pilots are clearly visible, ground staff, deck crew, all clearly visible, this is not a crusade it is merely a suggestion!
  18. It's not about inclusivity, it's about immersion and realism, especially if you produce videos like GR for example (or me!)
  19. I know this has been reported before but... I have just been experimenting with the ME and trains and despite the fact they add a certain eye-candy to the landscape / animation the are almost impossible ti control / interact with. AI do not seem to 'see' them, AI will not attack them, trains will not trigger an action when entering a zone, they ignore waypoint commands, they ignore speed commands in fact the only thing that I have been able to do is bomb them from a player controlled aircraft. Now I realise that these points will be very low on the ED radar but I wonder how easy or difficult it would be to address some / any of them?

  21. I have just installed this MOD in ...Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft but nothing shows up? How do I use this mod? (UPDATE) I have realised it is under rotary aircraft!

  24. I totally understand what you are saying. " I'm here for aircraft simulation" But some people are here for a variety of different reasons, for example, making cinematic movies, in which tiny details can add to the immersion / realism of the finished product.
  25. The F-16 hook lowers to the "deck" but doesn't retract completely? Is this a reflection on reality or a bug? F-16 - hook not retracting.trk
