  1. Run the "mission" where you are experiencing the problem - exit the mission when after trying bomb release (or whatever) click on SAVE TRACK. In you username saved games DCS folder there is a folder called TRACKS - there you will find the track you just saved, attach it to you next post.
  2. "Most" agreed, I clicked No.
  3. You can also set the waypoints format in the MISC section- LAT LONG DECIMAL MINUTES
  4. Among all the displayed information in the F2 view status bar it would be useful (to me!) to have the fuel status of AI aircraft in your group... (Pic included purely for clarity in case it isn't referred to as status bar!)

  5. There is a lot of publicly available information that would suggest that the F-16C Block 50 has experienced problems with the LG, wear and tera, actuator and locking mechanism mishaps, sufficient information in my opinion to warrant some form of damage modeling in DCS. This Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBvUzRdHjIQ) video mentions problems with LG after performing a go around (gear down, then gear up, then gear down again) I have asked Bogey Dope to comment.
  6. Absolutely correct in that you would need expert opinion rather than anecdotal speculation. I actually asked Bogey Dope - F-16 crew chief (retired) this question and he confirmed that actual structural damage can occur to the airframe by exceeding speed specifications regarding landing gear. I dropped the DCS Viper gear at 750 kts (as a test) with no apparent damage...
  7. Could you not simply use the button to re-centre TrackIr?
  8. It seems to work as is... TWS check.trk
  9. Ok, I have to agree, it is the opposite of what you would want and expect, VR seems to have yet another problem within DCS, I only now play 2D and on a 55" TV so the whole dot thing is a non issue for me.
  10. How do the offline players benefit as you point out that they can do whatever they like with the sim's settings anyway? (I also have to point out that the 'offline players' represent the vast majority of 'players' )
  11. Having stated that some damage is modeled I decided to test it... I took off and left the gear extended until I reached 630 kts and the retracted it. The nose wheel retracted but main wheels did not. I then decelerated, as I slowed to a more normal approach speed the main gear retracted. I then extended the gear and it extended normally and I landed with no problem. I took off again, retracted the gear immediately, again no problem, all 3 wheels retracted. I gained altitude, extended the gear in an acute angle descent at 740 kts, the gear extended normally and I landed without incident. It would seem that overspeeding the landing gear is NOT really modeled and of course it should be.
  12. Although the gear can be extended and retracted at (almost) any speed the modeling incorporates some aspects of the damage of high speed extending or retracting. Landing gear extend / retract or in transit: 300kts / Mach 0.65 (whichever is less)
  13. Also bear in mind that we have a block 50, the latest Viper is block 70/72, in many ways a very different beast in terms of avionics, weapon systems, workflow etc.
  14. This statement is summed up in your first 2 words... The cinematic videos being produced by DCS itself, Phenom, J.P. Ferré, Venom Cinematic, Growling Sidewinder and many others (myself included) are what sell DCS to newcomers. DCS is a beautiful spectacle, enhanced by atmospheric lighting, realistic models, attention to detail and the aircraft liveries are one of the key aspects of that immersion that everybody seeks.
  15. This has been said (by you) on several occasions and while it is possibly true, there is a suggestion that this would affect all users of DCS when in fact the multiplayer community (to which you are referring when talking about cheating) represents a small percentage of total DCS users.
  16. Love DCS gave up on VR a while ago and love TrackIr!
  17. I concur! 16 megs of RAM when the cost of RAM back then was on a par with platinum puts you in a very different league!
  18. As someone already mentioned, VoiceAttack works perfectly and to be honest in the heat of the situation you really don't want to be scrambling for multiple key presses!
  19. Simply solution... Drive the Viper, dead pilots don't eject and even harsh words across the radio kill the Viper driver
  20. Good point, it MUST be a bug as you would not expect a pilot in a combat situation to have to guess the outcome of the launch!
  21. My bad! I meant to quote SharpXBs original "life advice" comment!
  22. I don't think I have ever read anything so blatantly arrogant and demeaning on this forum before...
  23. This is simply about the concept of choice and choice is one of the fundamental cornerstones of life.
  24. 14.3 GB Syria is 67GB!
  25. The Viper needs a minimum of 8000 feet to land safely...
