T-50CM2 Slider Axis with Detente - What do you use it for?

I also use the left slider for the emergency wing sweep handle and it works like a charm. I mainly operate the wings manually. Loving this throttle for sure and now can see why it’s the top dog throttle. Fantastic product and the build is superb I mine excellent ! -
I did back up the cm2/stick profile before updating the latest Virpil software But I just started from scratch. It was mostly the new throttle I had to bind.
-
I did it ! And it actually went very well. Love the Throttle but I can’t see myself using all the features it has to offer being just a dogfighter. Hopefully I will venture out to bigger and better things DCS has to offer. I had to revert back to TrackerIR just to rebind which I haven’t used in a long time and man neck is killing me. Thanks for all the help imacken and Videos Havoc. I’m done buying gear ! Rebinding 6 jets ain’t fun !

Great ! Thank you

One more question and I’m sorry it’s a lame one but I gotta get this out. The latest Virpil software 220720 as you mentioned I update on the Virpil site? I have 20210102 at the moment. And then do a Firmware update on my new CM3 throttle and also my CM2 base. I already exported that CM2 profile. I sorry I’m just getting started on this Virpil software and never updated when I got my CM2.

Gotcha ! will do and I sure do appreciate it. I’m 57 and feel like a kid again excited to receive my new toy geeeez! Best Regards

Wait I understand now what your saying I need to check what software i have first then update to the latest/current and hopefully I’m on the current version. I’ll check this evening. According to the version dates I believe I’m on version 20201118. The latest patch update is for the new prime gear so should I update to the 20220720 Patch 1 version ?

Okay great ! well I thought your only suppose to have 1 device hooked up at a time when installing a Virpil device as seen in many videos / manual ? I’ll be adding the new CM3 throttle to my rig and I already have the Virpil software installed when I got my CM2 stick base last year.
-
@imacken- Okay I understand and will definitely take your advice. I guess before I add the throttle to the software is to do a firmware update and recal ect. the CM2 base then disconnect and add the throttle. I guess the best thing to do is just start all over. I appreciate it.

I've been alittle confused about updating my gpu drivers lately mostly because I think they are for the newer cards/ 4000 series. When I update a gpu driver I write the driver number down and circle it being good sometimes with a star beside it. I'm not a defined tuner like most in here and only go by smoothness more then the numbers. I looked at my sheet of driver numbers and I had a bold circle with a star on that 512.95 driver. I also heard the 457.30 is a great fall back driver.

Thanks Scott , I've had to CM2 stick base for almost a year now and I will be adding the CM3 Throttle in a few days as it just shipped today so I'm just going through a few things before hand and I'm not gonna lie but alittle scared about the Virpil software and I was stuck with the side picking thing LOL ! So, when I update the firmware for the throttle which is like the first step and complete the setup axis and save profile ect. when I add/plug in the CM2 stick base would I have to update the firmware on it also ? Kinda thinking if the throttle has the newest firmware but the CM2 base doesnt will the software tell me so ... to update it? Thanks again

That’s awesome ! I’m curious on the price and availability.

There’s also a setting in there that Lets Windows decide can’t think of it at the moment cause I’m not home but don’t let windows decide on nothing.
-
Yeah that’s pretty impressive. Thanks for the info I’ll stay tuned.

Right on ! What are your pressue settings ? Pitch and Roll. I like this part " it is quite responsive when you need to make a sharp turn" I usually have Pitch 8.50 Roll 4.06 in a BFM situation but have gone to P-10.30 R 5.00 every once in awhile.

Is it just an upgraded board ? that is used/replaced into the R3L.
-
Very interesting ! Thanks for your testing and sharing it.

I googled this https://github.com/KhronosGroup/OpenXR-Docs/issues/101

Hello, So I got the virpil CM2 stick base about 10 months ago and I programmed it to be on the Leftside because I didn't want it to interfere with my Realsimulator R3L viper setup on the rightside in any way. Now that my CM3 Throttle is getting ready to ship and when I program the device I would like the throttle to be chosen to the Leftside and CM2/hornet grip on Rightside like normal, will I loose my CM2 profile and DCS binding if I rearrange the CM2 base to the Rightside. I guess I can always just choose the CM3 Throttle to be on the Rightside and keep the CM2/hornet stick to the Leftside/center stick. I'm looking forward to that throttle but not rebinding and relearning the Virpil software. Thanks
