  1. Awesome ! You have plenty time to figure out your playing area and where your gonna place your base station / stations. That was the biggest deal with my transition from a G2 was were to place them. I had to take away glass picture frames off the wall because of the reflection issues that caused a few problems with tracking. I ended up with 2 base stations and as I’m figured in a seated position that was good enough. I have about 8 holes in the wall that I still have to plug up I think your in for a treat when you get the Varjo Aero - base stations - Varjos wonderful software and mbucchia’s magic. One thing I will highly… and I mean highly recommend is the StudioFormCreative comfort balance kit for the Varjo Aero, it’s also a game charger and it’s actually very reasonable it price. https://www.studioformcreative.com/product-page/varjo-vr-3-xr-3-counter-balance-comfort-kit-200-gram-7oz
  2. This is why I picked the Varjo brand over any other brand on the market. Nothing bad to say about the HP G2 it was my first love.
  3. Absolutely no M R for me. On a few multiplayer servers that are really loaded with static objects I find that locking to 45 fps in VB only helps the fight with it trying to get 90 fps. The graph lines are smoother. Single player I disable the lock, let roll. This seems to work very very well with my rig and my Aero running at 39 ppd so crisp ! and smooth. Running DFR/FR is truly amazing.
  4. @dburne - Yeah I’m not seeing or experiencing any performance or shimming issues running at 39ppd and it looks amazing. I might try changing some settings.cfg values in the next few days.
  5. Just tried 39PPD for the first time I have been running it at 37 and there is a slight more clarity for sure it beautiful ! What would flag my rig that 39PPD is to much or to high. It seems to run fine with it on 39 but not sure to look for that it’s to much.
  6. Don’t over think it like I did when I first got me Virpil gear. There’s excellent videos that helped me through it. I like to keep it simple. Just to name a few HavocCompanyClan and Jon’s Gaming and Tech.
  7. Better not be ! Yeah that 25% is great and will help with the base stations and better Audio headset.
  8. Wow! Where have I been geeez ! It’s only $10.00 too. VIACOM is free also. Damn now I feel totally embarrassed for even asking this. Old age ! Sucks ! Thanks again !
  9. Right ! Okay gonna look into the VoiceAttack I’ve been hearing a lot about it through the years so I guess that’s the path. Thanks MAXsenna
  10. Found it! https://github.com/bernhardberger/OpticalAdjustmentGUI
  11. I’m not good at explaining things like this but the latest Varjo update has this Varjo Optical Adjustment tool in a zip file that adjust the red shift issue. If you have the Varjo discord please go to the Greetings-from-Varjo section and it will explain waaaaay better then I can muster. Here’s a copy and paste from there. There is also a guy named Bernhard Berger that has a redshift gui. Tool that’s used with this also I’ll try to find it for you. ----- How to use tool: > 1. Install Varjo Base 3.10.1. > 2. Connect and run your Varjo headset as usual. > 3. Make sure Automatic IPD adjustment is enabled or manual IPD adjustment is set to a value matching your actual IPD. > 4. Download VarjoOpticalAdjustment.zip from here: > https://share.varjo.com/index.php/s/2DKZ3jJ5ZeMy3Bz > > PW: 5bXDBm4h4O Unzip VarjoOpticalAdjustment.zip to any folder. > 5. Run EnableOpticalAdjustment.bat in the folder to enable OpticalAdjustment with the default value. > 6. The default value is -0.4. You can change the value by editing value.cfg file in the folder and running EnableOpticalAdjustment.bat again. We recommend testing values between -0.3 -- -0.6 to find the value giving you the most optimal visual experience. > 7. You can disable the optical adjustment by running DisableOpticalAdjustment.bat. > 8. If you are having problems with the tool, here are some great tips and help from the community: https://discord.com/channels/839478779256897546/1077968124630028452/1123988935262085221 Please note that this adjustment is not persistent and needs to be applied again every time Varjo Base is started or if the system is restarted (for example, after changing the resolution quality in Varjo Base). We would like to gather more feedback around your experiences with this adjustment, which will help us to plan future features in this area. Please use the feedback form below to tell us how this worked for you https://survey-eu1.hsforms.com/1WFHW3LFKRCe-_LaO0_m_cAfa586 ----
  12. I think I asked the same question a few years ago somewhere can’t remember but I do remember it was a no answer. But was told to use msaa x2 to lower micro stutters.
  13. Since I’ve had my Varjo a few months I find it alittle cumbersome when chatting in servers. The G2 was pretty easy with built in audio speakers and sliding it up to type and even using the pass through to do so. As for the Varjo Aero it has to many things to adjust after taking the audio headset off to type a simple GF , GS and GK ect. Is there a possible way to create simple and quick chats like that in DCS settings and then bind them to my Hotas ? I tried to search for such but coming up with nothing or maybe I’m not sure what to search for or how to word it.
  14. There's several parts that make VR work well with DCS. The main one is mbucchia if it wasn't for him it would be "NOT' as good. I personally am running DCS and VR with no issues as of today/now. But it is what it is and ain't what it ain't. People get to hooked up on FPS and Frametimes .... get it close and just fly ! M2C
  15. Same here, the framerates are better and it seems to have a more crisper image especially using the Redshift fix. Not much I was using in OXRTK w/ QVFR when I was running it and the eye tracking was unstable. But yeah I like VF and love seeing the 90FPS in most situations. I haven't tried the new updated QVFR yet but it's mostly fixes that didn't concern what I was using it for.
  16. Yeah Darpa I also still use "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR command. There is a few folks in the Varjo discord that are having the 2D launch issue and reverting back to a early DCS version seemed to work for them but this was a few weeks ago. I'm glad to got it going.
  17. I would recommend Monstertech deck mounts over Virpil mounts. When I was converting to Virpil over Thrustmaster WH Hotas I already had the mounts and only needed the plate. The reason I stayed with Monstertech is because I’ve seen several videos about the mounts and I didn’t like they stuck out so far for one and also they had a lot of side movement. Have you thought about chair mounts ? Check some of Monstertech chair mounts they are really nice.
  18. Burt

    DataLink?

Yeah that's true. You think that we will get data link? I'm not sure if the F15E irl has it, I'll do some research but yeah I totally agree it would be great to have it.
  19. The most expensive one will dominate haha ! I just got the Varjo Aero so I'm good for a few years, I'm more interested in what mbucchia is putting out for us. My next big purchase would be a new rig hopefully a 14900K and a RTX 5090ti.
  20. Have you tried throttle locking the G2 in oxrtk to 45fps instead in using msi/rivatuner ? I personally never locked fps using that. I was running no repo and throttle locking to 55fps and resolution over ride to 2800x2800 I think that equivalent to 80% and using cas 30% also Turbo Mode.
  21. I don’t have openvr enabled just OpenXR. Is there something I’m missing having it disabled? I’m mainly and perfer Multithread. Thx !
  22. If I can add some help, this is what got me started with my Aero. 1 2.
  23. It's here where you disable it. Should be in your Program files.
  24. Yes its Coolie Left Long. I haven't got into the NCTR yet slowly working my way there tho.
